¹Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

¹ خداوند به موسی و هارون فرمود که

²“This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded: Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without spot, in which is no blemish, and which was never yoked.

² این دستورات را به قوم اسرائیل بدهند که یک گاو قرمز و بی‌عیب را که هیچ یوغی بر گردنش گذاشته نشده باشد، بیاورند

³You shall give her to Eleazar the priest, and he shall bring her forth outside of the camp, and one shall kill her before his face:

³ و آن را به العازار کاهن بدهند. قربانی باید بیرون اردوگاه برده شود و در حضور العازار ذبح شود.

⁴and Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle her blood toward the front of the Tent of Meeting seven times.

⁴ آنگاه العازار، قدری از خون گاو را، با انگشت خود، هفت بار به طرف جلوی خیمهٔ عبادت بپاشد.

⁵One shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:

⁵ بعد حیوان را با پوست، گوشت، خون و سرگین آن بسوزاند.

⁶and the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.

⁶ العازار چوب سرو و شاخه‌‌های زوفا و ریسمان قرمز را بگیرد و آنها را در آتش بیندازد.

⁷Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the evening.

⁷ پس از آن باید لباسهای خود را بشوید و غسل کند و بعد به اردوگاه بازگردد، امّا تا شام ناپاک می‌باشد.

⁸He who burns her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the evening.

⁸ شخصی که گاو را سوزانده است، باید لباسهای خود را بشوید و غسل کند و او هم تا شام ناپاک می‌باشد.

⁹“A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up outside of the camp in a clean place; and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water for impurity: it is a sin offering.

⁹ سپس شخصی که ناپاک نباشد، خاکستر گاو را جمع کند و در مکانی پاک در بیرون اردوگاه نگه دارد تا قوم اسرائیل آن را برای آب طهارت، که به‌خاطر رفع گناه است، به کار بَرند.

¹⁰He who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening: and it shall be to the children of Israel, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them, for a statute forever.

¹⁰ کسی‌که خاکستر گاو را جمع کرده است، لباسهای خود را بشوید و او هم تا شام ناپاک می‌باشد. این مقرّرات را هم مردم اسرائیل و هم بیگانگانی که در بین آنها سکونت دارند، باید همیشه رعایت کنند.

¹¹“He who touches the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days:

¹¹ هرکسی که جنازه‌ای را لمس کند تا هفت روز ناپاک می‌باشد.

¹²the same shall purify himself with water on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he doesn’t purify himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.

¹² او باید در روز سوم و هفتم، خود را با آب طهارت بشوید تا پاک شود. امّا اگر در آن دو روز خود را با آن آب پاک نکند، همان‌طور ناپاک باقی می‌ماند.

¹³Whoever touches a dead person, the body of a man who has died, and doesn’t purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of Yahweh; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet on him.

¹³ اگر کسی جنازه‌ای را لمس کند و خود را با آب طاهر نکند، ناپاک باقی می‌ماند، چرا که آب طهارت بر او پاشیده نشده است. آن شخص باید از بین قوم طرد شود، زیرا او معبد خداوند را ناپاک کرده است.

¹⁴“This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent, and everyone who is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.

¹⁴ اگر کسی در چادری بمیرد، این مقرّرات باید رعایت شوند: هرکسی‌ که در آن چادر ساکن است و یا در آن داخل می‌شود تا هفت روز ناپاک می‌باشد.

¹⁵Every open vessel, which has no covering bound on it, is unclean.

¹⁵ هرگونه ظرف بی‌سرپوش که در آن چادر باشد، ناپاک می‌شود.

¹⁶“Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

¹⁶ هرگاه شخصی به جسد کسی‌که کشته شده، یا به مرگ طبیعی مرده باشد دست بزند، یا استخوان انسان و یا قبری را لمس کند تا هفت روز ناپاک می‌باشد.

¹⁷“For the unclean they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the sin offering; and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:

¹⁷ برای اینکه شخص ناپاک، پاک شود، باید خاکستر گاو قرمز را که برای رفع گناه قربانی شده است در یک ظرف بیندازد و آب روان بر آن بریزد.

¹⁸and a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, and on all the vessels, and on the persons who were there, and on him who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave:

¹⁸ سپس شخصی که پاک باشد، شاخه‌های نعنا را در آن آب فرو برد و با آن شاخه‌‌‌ها، آب را بر چادر و همهٔ ظروفی که در چادر هستند و همچنین بر همهٔ کسانی‌که در آن چادر بوده‌اند، یا به استخوان انسان، یا به جسد و یا به قبری ‌که دست زده باشند، بپاشد.

¹⁹and the clean person shall sprinkle on the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify him; and he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at evening.

¹⁹ شخص پاکی باید آب طهارت را در روز سوم و هفتم بر سر شخص ناپاک بریزد. در روز هفتم، شخص ناپاک باید لباسهای خود را بشوید، غسل کند. او در شام همان روز پاک می‌شود.

²⁰But the man who shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of Yahweh: the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean.

²⁰ ولی اگر کسی ناپاک شود و خود را پاک نسازد، ناپاک باقی می‌ماند، چرا که آب طهارت بر او پاشیده نشده است. آن شخص باید از بین قوم اسرائیل طرد شود، زیرا خیمهٔ خداوند را ناپاک کرده است.

²¹It shall be a perpetual statute to them: and he who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and he who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.

²¹ این یک قانون دایمی است. شخصی که آب طهارت را می‌پاشد، باید لباسهای خود را بشوید و هرکسی‌ که به آن آب دست بزند تا شام ناپاک باقی می‌ماند. هرچیزی‌ که دست ناپاک به آن بخورد، ناپاک می‌شود و هرکسی که چیز ناپاک را لمس کند تا شام ناپاک باقی ‌می‌ماند.

²²“Whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the soul that touches it shall be unclean until evening.”

²² هرچیزی‌ که دست ناپاک به آن بخورد، ناپاک می‌شود و هرکسی که چیز ناپاک را لمس کند تا شام ناپاک باقی ‌می‌ماند.
