¹Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.

¹ بنابراین ای دوستان عزیز، مشتاق دیدار شما هستم. شما مایهٔ شادی و افتخار من هستید. ای عزیزان، همچنان در اتّحاد خود با خداوند استوار باشید.

²I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the Lord.

² از «افودیه» و «سینتیخی» خواهران خود در خداوند استدعا دارم كه با یكدیگر صلح و سازش كنند.

³Yes, I beg you also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the Good News, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

³ و از تو ای همكار صمیمی، تقاضا می‌کنم كه این دو زن را كمک كنی، زیرا نام آنها، با «كلیمانتوس» و سایر همكاران من كه در انتشار انجیل تلاش کرده‌اند، در دفتر حیات ثبت شده است.

⁴Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!”

⁴ پیوسته در خداوند شاد باشید، باز هم می‌گویم شاد باشید!

⁵Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

⁵ مهربانی و ملایمت شما در رفتارتان با دیگران آشكار باشد. آمدن خداوند نزدیک است!

⁶In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

⁶ نگران هیچ چیز نباشید، بلكه همیشه در هر مورد با دعا و مناجات و سپاسگزاری تقاضاهای خود را در پیشگاه خدا ابراز نمایید.

⁷And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

⁷ و آرامش الهی كه بالاتر از فهم بشر است، دلها و افكار شما را در مسیح عیسی حفظ خواهد كرد.

⁸Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.

⁸ در خاتمه ای دوستان، دربارهٔ هر آنچه راست، شریف، درست، پاک، دوست داشتنی، نیكنام و هرچه عالی و قابل ستایش است، بیندیشید.

⁹The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

⁹ تمام چیزهایی را كه از من آموختید و به دست آوردید، یعنی آنچه را از من شنیدید، سرمشق خود ساخته، به عمل آورید كه در این صورت خدایی كه منبع آرامش است، با شما خواهد بود.

¹⁰But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length you have revived your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you lacked opportunity.

¹⁰ حال كه پس از مدّتی دوباره مورد توجّه قرار گرفته‌ام، شادی عظیمی در خداوند یافته‌ام. البتّه شما همیشه نسبت به من علاقه و توجّه داشته‌اید، امّا فرصت ابراز آن را نیافتید.

¹¹Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.

¹¹ من به احتیاجات شخصی خود اشاره نمی‌کنم، زیرا یاد گرفته‌ام در هر وضعی كه باشم، قناعت كنم.

¹²I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.

¹² من می‌دانم چگونه در فقر و بیچارگی و یا در سعادتمندی زندگی كنم. به رمز زیستن در سیری و گرسنگی، در فراوانی و نیازمندی پی‌ برده‌ام.

¹³I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

¹³ من به وسیلهٔ مسیح كه مرا تقویت می‌کند، به انجام هر كاری قادر هستم.

¹⁴However you did well that you shared in my affliction.

¹⁴ امّا شما لطف كرده شریک زحمات من شدید.

¹⁵You yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the Good News, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only.

¹⁵ خود شما ای فیلپیان، خوب می‌دانید كه در ابتدای انتشار انجیل وقتی من مقدونیه را ترک كردم، شما تنها كلیسایی بودید كه در قبول مسئولیّت دخل و خرج من با من همكاری كردید.

¹⁶For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to my need.

¹⁶ حتّی زمانی‌که در «تسالونیكی» بودم، یكی دو مرتبه مبلغی برای رفع احتیاجات من فرستادید.

¹⁷Not that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your account.

¹⁷ من طالب پول شما نیستم؛ بلكه می‌خواهم به پاداش نیكوكاری شما افزوده شود.

¹⁸But I have all things, and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.

¹⁸ اعانهٔ شما به دستم رسید و نه تنها كافی بلكه بیشتر از احتیاجاتم بود. هدیه‌ای را كه توسط «اپفرودیتس» فرستادید، احتیاج مرا رفع كرده است. عطایای شما هدیه‌ای خوشبو یعنی قربانی مقبول و پسندیدهٔ خداست

¹⁹My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

¹⁹ و خدای من همهٔ احتیاجات شما را با ثروت عظیم خود در مسیح عیسی رفع خواهد كرد.

²⁰Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever! Amen.

²⁰ پدر ما خدا را تا به ابد جلال باد، آمین!

²¹Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you.

²¹ به همهٔ مقدّسینی كه به مسیح عیسی تعلّق دارند، سلام برسانید. ایماندارانی كه با من هستند به شما سلام می‌رسانند.

²²All the saints greet you, especially those who are of Caesar’s household.

²² همهٔ مقدّسین در اینجا و مخصوصاً ایماندارانی كه در دربار قیصر هستند، به شما سلام می‌رسانند. فیض خداوند ما عیسی مسیح با روح شما باد.

²³The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
