¹Praise Yah! Psalm 111 is an acrostic poem, with each verse after the initial “Praise Yah!” starting with a letter of the alphabet (ordered from Alef to Tav). I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.

¹ خداوند را سپاس باد! خداوند را در میان قوم او، با تمامی دل خود خواهم ستود.

²Yahweh’s works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them.

² کارهای خداوند چقدر عالی است، کسانی‌که به آنها علاقه دارند، دربارهٔ آنها تفکّر می‌کنند.

³His work is honor and majesty. His righteousness endures forever.

³ تمام کارهای او پُرشکوه و با عظمت است و عدالت او جاودانی.

⁴He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.

⁴ کارهای عجیب او فراموش نشدنی است، زیرا خداوند رحیم و مهربان است.

⁵He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant.

⁵ روزیِ ترسندگان خود را می‌رساند و پیمان خود را هرگز فراموش نمی‌کند.

⁶He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.

⁶ او با دادن سرزمین بیگانگان به قوم خود، قدرت خود را به آنها نشان داد.

⁷The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.

⁷ کارهای خداوند با عدالت و راستی و احکام او همه، قابل اعتماد می‌باشند.

⁸They are established forever and ever. They are done in truth and uprightness.

⁸ همهٔ آنها پایدار و ابدی هستند، زیرا بر عدالت و راستی بنا شده‌اند.

⁹He has sent redemption to his people. He has ordained his covenant forever. His name is holy and awesome!

⁹ به قوم خود آزادی بخشید و با آنها پیمانی ابدی بست. او مقدّس و پُر قدرت است. ترس از خداوند شروع حکمت است. او به کسانی‌که از او اطاعت می‌کنند، فهم و شعور می‌بخشد. او را تا به ابد سپاس باد!

¹⁰The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

¹⁰ ترس از خداوند شروع حکمت است. او به کسانی‌که از او اطاعت می‌کنند، فهم و شعور می‌بخشد. او را تا به ابد سپاس باد!
