¹ “And to the angel of the assembly in Sardis write: “He who has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars says these things: “I know your works, that you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

¹ «به فرشتهٔ كلیسای سارد بنویس: «این است سخنان آن کسی‌که دارای هفت روح خدا و هفت ستاره است. کارهای تو را می‌دانم و اگرچه همه می‌گویند تو زنده هستی ولی مرده‌ای.

² Wake up, and keep the things that remain, which you were about to throw away, for I have found no works of yours perfected before my God.

² بیدار شو و آن چیزهایی را كه باقی مانده و نزدیک است از بین برود، تقویت كن، زیرا من هیچ‌یک از كارهایی كه پسندیدهٔ خداست، در تو نیافته‌ام.

³ Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If therefore you won’t watch, I will come as a thief, and you won’t know what hour I will come upon you.

³ پس آنچه را كه آموخته و شنیده‌ای به‌یاد آور و آن را محكم نگاه دار و توبه كن. اگر بیدار نشوی، من مانند دزد بر سر تو خواهم آمد و تو لحظهٔ آمدن مرا نخواهی دانست.

⁴ Nevertheless you have a few names in Sardis that did not defile their garments. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.

⁴ امّا چند نفر در سارد داری كه لباسهای خود را نیالوده‌اند. آنان در لباس سفید با من راه خواهند رفت زیرا مستحق آن هستند.

⁵ He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

⁵ کسی‌که پیروز شود، به لباس سفید ملبّس خواهد شد و نامش را هرگز از كتاب حیات حذف نخواهم كرد و در پیشگاه پدر خود و فرشتگان، او را از آن خود خواهم دانست.

⁶ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.

⁶ «ای کسانی‌که گوش دارید، آنچه را كه روح به كلیساها می‌گوید بشنوید!

⁷ “To the angel of the assembly in Philadelphia write: “He who is holy, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens and no one can shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says these things:

⁷ «به فرشتهٔ كلیسای فیلادلفیا بنویس: «این است سخنان آن قدّوس و صادق كه كلید داوود را به دست دارد. دری را كه او بگشاید نمی‌توان بست و هر دری را كه او ببندد نمی‌توان گشود.

⁸ “I know your works (behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut), that you have a little power, and kept my word, and didn’t deny my name.

⁸ من کارهای تو را می‌دانم و دری گشوده پیش روی تو قرار داده‌ام كه هیچ‌کس نمی‌تواند آن را ببندد؛ زیرا با اینکه قدرت تو كم است، تعلیم مرا نگاه‌داشته‌ای و نام مرا انكار نكرده‌ای.

⁹ Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but lie. Behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

⁹ توجّه كن! این است كاری كه من خواهم كرد: آنانی را كه از جماعت شیطان هستند و ادّعای یهودیّت می‌کنند، ولی نیستند و دروغ می‌گویند، خواهم آورد و پیش پای تو خواهم افكند و آنان خواهند دانست كه تو محبوب من هستی،

¹⁰ Because you kept my command to endure, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, which is to come on the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

¹⁰ زیرا مطابق تعالیم من رفتار كردی و نسبت به من وفادار ماندی. من نیز تو را از آزمایش سختی كه قرار است بر تمامی جهان واقع شود و ساكنانش را بیازماید، حفظ خواهم كرد.

¹¹ I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.

¹¹ بزودی می‌آیم، آنچه را داری محكم نگه‌دار و نگذار كسی تاج تو را برباید.

¹² He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will go out from there no more. I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my own new name.

¹² من كسی را كه پیروز گردد، مثل ستونی در معبد خدای خود ثابت خواهم ساخت، او هرگز از آنجا نخواهد رفت و من نام خدای خود را بر او خواهم نوشت. من نام شهر خدا، یعنی آن اورشلیم تازه‌ای را كه از آسمان و از جانب خدای من نزول می‌کند و همچنین نام تازه خود را بر او خواهم نوشت.

¹⁴ “To the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write: “The Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Head of God’s creation, says these things:

¹⁴ «به فرشتهٔ كلیسای لائودیکیه بنویس: «این است سخنان «آمین»، آن شاهد امین و راستین و نخستین منشاء تمام خلقت خدا.

¹⁵ “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot.

¹⁵ من از همهٔ کارهای تو آگاه هستم و می‌دانم كه تو نه گرم هستی و نه سرد. ای كاش گرم بودی و یا سرد.

¹⁶ So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth.

¹⁶ امّا چون بین این دو، یعنی نه گرم هستی و نه سرد، تو را از دهان خود قی خواهم كرد

¹⁷ Because you say, ‘I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing;’ and don’t know that you are the wretched one, miserable, poor, blind, and naked;

¹⁷ زیرا می‌گویی: 'دولتمند هستم و ثروت جمع کرده‌ام و محتاج به چیزی نیستم.' اگرچه این را نمی‌دانی، با این وجود، تو بیچاره و بدبخت و بینوا و كور و عریان هستی.

¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich; and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see.

¹⁸ به تو نصیحت می‌کنم، طلایی را كه در آتش تصفیه شده از من بخر تا تو را به راستی دولتمند گرداند و لباس سفیدی بخر تا بپوشی و خجلت عریانی خود را بپوشانی و مرحمی بخر و به چشمان خویش بمال تا ببینی.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.

¹⁹ همهٔ كسانی را كه دوست می‌دارم، سرزنش می‌کنم و تأدیب می‌نمایم پس غیور باش و توبه كن.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me.

²⁰ من پشت در ایستاده در را می‌كوبم اگر كسی صدای مرا بشنود و در را باز كند، وارد می‌شوم و با او شام خواهم خورد و او نیز با من.

²¹ He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

²¹ به آن کسی‌که پیروز گردد، جایی در روی تخت خود خواهم بخشید، همان‌طور كه من پیروز شدم و با پدر بر تخت او نشستم. «ای کسانی‌که گوش دارید، آنچه را كه روح به كلیساها می‌گوید، بشنوید!»
