¹The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him.

¹ در این وقت، پنجمین فرشته در شیپور خود دمید و من ستاره‌ای را دیدم كه به زمین افتاد و كلید «چاه بی‌انتها» به آن ستاره داده شد

²He opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a TR adds “great” burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit.

² و با آن كلید، چاه بی‌انتها را گشود و از چاه دودی مانند دود یک كورهٔ بزرگ برخاست و نور خورشید و هوا از دود چاه، تیره و تار گشت.

³Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

³ آنگاه از آن دود ملخهایی بیرون آمده، زمین را پُر ساختند و به آنان قدرتی مثل قدرت كژدُم داده شد

⁴They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who don’t have God’s seal on their foreheads.

⁴ و به آنها گفته شد كه به علف زمین و گیاهان و درختان كاری نداشته باشند، بلكه فقط به آدمیانی كه مُهر خدا را بر خود ندارند، آسیب برسانند.

⁵They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.

⁵ به آنها اجازه داده شد این آدمیان را به مدّت پنج ماه معذّب سازند و مانند کسانی‌که از نیش عقرب رنج می‌برند، آنها را عذاب دهند، ولی اجازهٔ كشتن آنها را نداشتند.

⁶In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

⁶ در آن زمان این مردمان آرزوی مرگ خواهند كرد، امّا به آرزوی خود نخواهند رسید. مشتاق مردن خواهند بود، ولی مرگ به سراغ آنها نخواهد آمد.

⁷The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people’s faces.

⁷ این ملخها مثل اسبان آمادهٔ نبرد بودند. بر روی سر آنها چیزهایی شبیه به تاجهای زرّین قرار داشت. صورت آنها مانند صورت انسان بود.

⁸They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.

⁸ موهایشان مانند موهای زنها، دندانهایی مثل دندانهای شیر داشتند

⁹They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.

⁹ و سینه‌های آنها را سینه‌پوش‌هایی مانند زره‌های آهنین پوشانیده بود و صدای بالهایشان مانند صدای اسبان و ارّابه‌هایی بود كه به میدان جنگ هجوم می‌آورند.

¹⁰They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails they have power to harm men for five months.

¹⁰ آنها مانند عقرب، صاحب دمُهای نیشداری هستند و قدرت دارند با دُم خود، مردم را به مدّت پنج ماه معذّب سازند.

¹¹They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is “Abaddon,” “Abaddon” is a Hebrew word that means ruin, destruction, or the place of destruction but in Greek, he has the name “Apollyon.” “Apollyon” means “Destroyer.”

¹¹ پادشاه آنها فرشتهٔ چاه بی‌انتهاست كه نامش به عبرانی «ابدون» و در یونانی «آپولیون» (نابود كننده) می‌باشد.

¹²The first woe is past. Behold, there are still two woes coming after this.

¹² بلای اول به پایان رسید، امّا دو بلای دیگر هنوز هست كه باید بیاید.

¹³The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,

¹³ آنگاه ششمین فرشته در شیپور خود دمید و من از چهار گوشهٔ قربانگاه زرّین كه در حضور خدا قرار دارد، صدایی شنیدم

¹⁴saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, “Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!”

¹⁴ كه به فرشتهٔ ششم كه شیپور را به دست داشت می‌گفت: «چهار فرشته‌ای را كه در رود بزرگ فرات بسته شده‌اند، آزاد سازد.»

¹⁵The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind.

¹⁵ پس آن چهار فرشته آزاد شدند تا یک سوم آدمیان را بكشند. آنان برای همین سال و ماه و روز و ساعت آماده شده بودند.

¹⁶The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million literally, “ten thousands of ten thousands” . I heard the number of them.

¹⁶ من شنیدم كه تعداد سواران آنها دویست میلیون نفر بود.

¹⁷Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.

¹⁷ در رؤیایی كه من دیدم، اسبان و سواران آنها چنین بودند: سواران سینه‌‌پوش‌هایی به رنگهای سرخ آتشین و آبی و زرد گوگردی بر تن داشتند. اسبان سرهایی مانند سر شیر داشتند و از دهانشان آتش و دود و گوگرد بیرون می‌آمد.

¹⁸By these three plagues were one third of mankind killed: by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.

¹⁸ این سه بلا یعنی آتش و دود و گوگرد كه از دهانشان بیرون می‌آمد، یک سوم آدمیان را كشت.

¹⁹For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.

¹⁹ قدرت اسبان در دهان و دُمهای آنها بود. زیرا دُمهایشان به مارهایی شباهت داشت كه با سر خود می‌گزیدند و به مردم آزار می‌رسانیدند.

²⁰The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.

²⁰ بقیّهٔ آدمیان كه از این بلاها جان سالم به در بردند، از بُتهایی كه خود ساخته بودند، دست نكشیدند و از پرستش دیوها و بُتهایی که از طلا و نقره و برنز و سنگ و چوب ساخته شده بودند و قادر به دیدن و شنیدن و راه رفتن نیستند، باز نایستادند و از آدمكشی و جادوگری و زنا و یا دزدی توبه نكردند.

²¹They didn’t repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, The word for “sorceries” (pharmakeia) also implies the use of potions, poisons, and drugs nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.

²¹ و از آدمكشی و جادوگری و زنا و یا دزدی توبه نكردند.
