¹Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.

¹ شخصی را كه در ایمان ضعیف است، در میان خود بپذیرید، ولی نه به منظور مباحثه دربارهٔ عقاید او.

²One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.

² ایمان یک نفر به او اجازه می‌دهد، هر غذایی را بخورد امّا کسی‌که ضعیف است، فقط سبزیجات می‌خورد.

³Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him.

³ کسی‌که هر غذایی را می‌خورد نباید كسی را كه فقط سبزیجات می‌خورد خوار بشمارد و همچنین شخص پرهیزکار نباید كسی را كه هر غذایی را می‌خورد محكوم سازد، زیرا خدا او را پذیرفته است.

⁴Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.

⁴ تو كیستی كه دربارهٔ خادم شخص دیگری قضاوت كنی؟ اینكه آیا آن خادم در خدمت خود موفّق می‌شود یا نه، فقط مربوط به ارباب اوست، ولی او موفّق خواهد شد، زیرا ارباب آسمانی او قادر است این كار را برای او انجام دهد.

⁵One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.

⁵ یک نفر یک روز را از روزهای دیگر مهمتر می‌داند، حال آنكه شخص دیگری همه را یكسان می‌شمارد. هرکس باید در عقیدهٔ خود کاملاً خاطر جمع باشد.

⁶He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks. He who doesn’t eat, to the Lord he doesn’t eat, and gives God thanks.

⁶ آنكه روز معیّنی را بزرگ می‌شمارد، برای خاطر خداوند چنین می‌کند و او كه هر غذایی را می‌خورد، باز برای خاطر خداوند می‌‌خورد، زیرا او برای خوراک خود خدا را شكر می‌كند. و از طرف دیگر، شخص پرهیزكار به‌خاطر خداوند نمی‌خورد و او نیز از خدا سپاسگزاری می‌کند.

⁷For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.

⁷ هیچ‌یک از ما فقط برای خود زندگی نمی‌کند و یا فقط برای خود نمی‌میرد، اگر زیست می‌کنیم، برای خداوند زندگی می‌‌نماییم

⁸For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

⁸ و اگر بمیریم، برای خداوند می‌‌‌میریم. پس خواه زنده و خواه مرده، متعلّق به خداوند هستیم.

⁹For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

⁹ زیرا به همین سبب مسیح مُرد و دوباره زنده شد تا خداوند مردگان و زندگان باشد.

¹⁰But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

¹⁰ پس تو چرا دربارهٔ برادر یا خواهر خود قضاوت می‌کنی؟ یا چرا برادر یا خواهرت را تحقیر می‌نمایی؟ همهٔ ما پیش كرسی قضاوت خدا خواهیم ایستاد.

¹¹For it is written, “‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.’” Isaiah 45:23

¹¹ زیرا كلام خدا می‌فرماید: «خداوند می‌گوید، به حیات خودم سوگند که همه در برابر من به زانو درآمده با زبان خود خدا را ستایش خواهند نمود.»

¹²So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.

¹² پس هر یک از ما باید حساب خود را به خدا پس بدهیم.

¹³Therefore let’s not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother’s way, or an occasion for falling.

¹³ بنابراین از قضاوت كردن دربارهٔ یكدیگر خودداری كنیم و در عوض تصمیم بگیرید كه وسیلهٔ لغزش یا رنجش در راه ایمانداران نشوید.

¹⁴I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

¹⁴ من می‌دانم و مخصوصاً در اثر اتّحاد با عیسی خداوند، یقین دارم كه هیچ چیز به خودی خود ناپاک نیست، امّا برای کسی‌که آن را ناپاک می‌داند، ناپاک است.

¹⁵Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don’t destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

¹⁵ و اگر دیگران به‌خاطر غذایی كه تو می‌خوری آزُرده شوند، دیگر از روی محبّت رفتار نمی‌کنی. نگذار آنچه می‌خوری، موجب هلاكت شخصی كه مسیح در راه او مُرد، بشود.

¹⁶Then don’t let your good be slandered,

¹⁶ و نگذارید آنچه برای شما مجاز است، باعث شود كه دیگران از شما بدگویی كنند،

¹⁷for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷ زیرا پادشاهی خدا خوردن و نوشیدن نیست؛ بلكه شامل نیكی و آرامش و خوشی در روح‌القدس است.

¹⁸For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

¹⁸ هرکه مسیح را به این طریق خدمت می‌کند، مورد پسند خدا و مقبول انسان است.

¹⁹So then, let us follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build one another up.

¹⁹ پس آنچه را كه موجب صلح و سازش و تقویت یكدیگر می‌شود، دنبال كنیم.

²⁰Don’t overthrow God’s work for food’s sake. All things indeed are clean, however it is evil for that man who creates a stumbling block by eating.

²⁰ كار خدا را به‌خاطر خوردن غذا خراب نكنید. تمام خوراکی‌ها پاک هستند، امّا گناه دارد اگر كسی به وسیلهٔ آنچه می‌خورد باعث لغزش شخص دیگری بشود.

²¹It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak.

²¹ همچنین اگر خوردن گوشت یا شراب یا انجام كارهای دیگر تو موجب لغزش یا رنجش دیگری شود، بهتر است از آن دست بكشی.

²²Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who doesn’t judge himself in that which he approves.

²² پس عقیدهٔ خود را دربارهٔ این مطلب بین خود و خدا نگه‌دار. خوشا به حال کسی‌که وقتی كاری انجام می‌دهد، وجدانش او را سرزنش نمی‌کند. امّا اگر با وجدان ناراحت چیزی را بخورد محكوم است، زیرا مطابق آنچه وجدانش به او می‌گوید عمل نكرده است و هر عملی كه از روی اعتقاد نباشد، گناه است.

²³But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it isn’t of faith; and whatever is not of faith is sin.

²³ امّا اگر با وجدان ناراحت چیزی را بخورد محكوم است، زیرا مطابق آنچه وجدانش به او می‌گوید عمل نكرده است و هر عملی كه از روی اعتقاد نباشد، گناه است.

²⁴Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,

²⁵but now is revealed, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, is made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

²⁶to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever! Amen. TR places verses 24-26 after Romans 16:24 as verses 25-27.
