¹Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

¹ ما كه در ایمان قوی هستیم، وظیفه داریم كه ناتوانی افراد ضعیف را تحمّل كنیم و در فكر راحتی خود نباشیم؛

²Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.

² بلكه به‌خاطر خیریّت و تقویت اطرافیان خود در فكر راحتی آنها باشیم.

³For even Christ didn’t please himself. But, as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.” Psalm 69:9

³ زیرا مسیح نیز در فكر راحتی خود نبود. چنانکه کتاب‌مقدّس می‌فرماید: «اهانتهای آنانی كه به تو اهانت می‌کردند، به من رسید.»

⁴For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through patience and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

⁴ زیرا هرچه در گذشته در کتاب‌مقدّس نوشته شد، برای تعلیم ما بود تا به وسیلهٔ بردباری و دلگرمی‌ای كه كلام خدا می‌بخشد، امیدوار باشیم.

⁵Now the God of patience and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus,

⁵ خدایی كه سرچشمه بردباری و دلگرمی است عنایت فرماید تا با پیروی از مسیح عیسی همفكر باشید

⁶that with one accord you may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁶ و همه با هم یكدل و یک زبان خدا را كه پدر خداوند ما عیسی مسیح است ستایش كنید.

⁷Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, TR reads “us” instead of “you” to the glory of God.

⁷ پس همان‌طور كه مسیح شما را پذیرفته است، شما نیز یكدیگر را برای جلال خدا بپذیرید.

⁸Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,

⁸ مقصود این است كه مسیح، خادم قوم اسرائیل گردید تا آن وعده‌هایی را كه خدا به نیاکان آنان داده بود، تحقّق بخشد

⁹and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Therefore will I give praise to you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name.” 2 Samuel 22:50; Psalm 18:49

⁹ و در نتیجه صداقت خدا ثابت شود و تا ملل جهان خدا را برای رحمت او تمجید نمایند. چنانکه كتاب‌مقدّس می‌فرماید: «از این جهت تو را در میان ملل ستایش خواهم كرد و نام تو را با سپاسگزاری به زبان خواهم آورد.»

¹⁰Again he says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” Deuteronomy 32:43

¹⁰ و در جای دیگر می‌فرماید: «ای ملّتها، با قوم او شادی كنید.»

¹¹Again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Let all the peoples praise him.” Psalm 117:1

¹¹ و باز در جای دیگر می‌فرماید: «ای تمامی قومها، خداوند را سپاس خوانید! و ای تمامی مردم، او را ستایش کنید.»

¹²Again, Isaiah says, “There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will hope.” Isaiah 11:10

¹² و اشعیا نیز می‌گوید: «ریشهٔ یَسی خواهد آمد و او برای حكومت بر ملّتها می‌آید و امید ملل بر او خواهد بود.»

¹³Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹³ خدا كه سرچشمه امید است، شما را به وسیلهٔ ایمانتان چنان با شادی و آرامش كامل پر سازد كه با نیروی روح‌القدس امید شما روزبه‌روز بیشتر شود.

¹⁴I myself am also persuaded about you, my brothers The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.

¹⁴ ای دوستان من، خود من در مورد شما خاطر جمع هستم كه سرشار از نیكی و كمال معرفت بوده و قادر به تعلیم یكدیگر هستید.

¹⁵But I write the more boldly to you in part, as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,

¹⁵ امّا در این نامه، پاره‌‌ای از مطالب را با كمال جسارت به شما یادآور شدم. من به‌خاطر آن فیضی كه خدا به من عنایت فرمود

¹⁶that I should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest the Good News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶ تا خدمتگزار مسیح عیسی برای ملّتها باشم این‌طور به شما نوشتم. در خدمت انجیل خدا، من وظیفهٔ یک كاهن را دارم تا غیر یهودیان را به عنوان هدیه‌‌ای به خدا تقدیم نمایم. هدیه‌‌ای كه به‌سبب تقدیس روح‌القدس مقبول او خواهد بود.

¹⁷I have therefore my boasting in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.

¹⁷ پس می‌توانم از كارهایی ‌كه برای خدا در اتّحاد با ‌مسیح عیسی انجام داده‌‌ام، افتخار نمایم.

¹⁸For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Christ worked through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

¹⁸ زیرا من جرأت نمی‌کنم دربارهٔ چیزی جز آنچه مسیح توسط من به عمل آورده است، سخن بگویم. سخن من فقط دربارهٔ این است كه چگونه او ملل غیر یهود را به وسیلهٔ گفتار، رفتار

¹⁹in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God’s Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Christ;

¹⁹ و نیروی عجایب و معجزات و با قدرت روح‌القدس تحت فرمان خود درآورده است. به طوری که من سراسر اورشلیم را تا «الیریكوم» پیموده‌ام و انجیل مسیح را همه‌جا منتشر كرده‌ام.

²⁰yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.

²⁰ هدف من همیشه این بوده است كه در جاهایی كه نام مسیح به گوش مردم نرسیده است، بشارت دهم. مبادا بر شالوده‌ای كه كسی دیگر نهاده، بنا نمایم.

²¹But, as it is written, “They will see, to whom no news of him came. They who haven’t heard will understand.” Isaiah 52:15

²¹ چنانکه كتاب ‌مقدّس می‌فرماید: «کسانی‌که دربارهٔ او چیزی نشنیده‌اند، او را خواهند دید و آنانی كه از او بی‌‌خبر بوده‌اند، خواهند فهمید.»

²²Therefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you,

²² همین موضوع بارها مانع آمدن من به نزد شما شد.

²³but now, no longer having any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come to you,

²³ امّا حال، چون دیگر كار من در این نواحی تمام شده و همچنین سالها مشتاق ملاقات شما بوده‌ام.

²⁴whenever I journey to Spain, I will come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.

²⁴ امیدوارم در وقت سفر خود به اسپانیا، از شما دیدن نمایم و پس از آنكه از شما دیدن كردم، در نظر دارم با كمک شما به سفر خود ادامه دهم.

²⁵But now, I say, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.

²⁵ در حال حاضر به‌خاطر كمک به مقدّسین مقیم اورشلیم عازم آنجا هستم،

²⁶For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.

²⁶ زیرا کلیساها در مقدونیه و یونان چنین صلاح دانستند كه برای بینوایان ایماندار اورشلیم مبالغی به طور اعانه بفرستند.

²⁷Yes, it has been their good pleasure, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in fleshly things.

²⁷ ایشان صلاح دانستند این كار را انجام دهند و در حقیقت، آنها مدیونِ یهودیان هستند. زیرا غیر یهودیان كه در بركات روحانی یهودیان سهیم شدند، موظّفند یهودیان را با بركات مادّی خود خدمت كنند.

²⁸When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by way of you to Spain.

²⁸ بنابراین هروقت این مأموریت را انجام دادم و مبالغی را كه جمع شده است به دست آنها سپردم، عازم اسپانیا خواهم شد و در سر راه از شما نیز دیدن خواهم كرد.

²⁹I know that, when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the Good News of Christ.

²⁹ و یقین دارم كه هرگاه پیش شما بیایم، آمدن من با بركات فراوانی از جانب مسیح همراه خواهد بود.

³⁰Now I beg you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,

³⁰ ای دوستان، به نام خداوند ما عیسی مسیح و آن محبتّی كه روح‌القدس می‌بخشد، درخواست می‌كنم كه با دعاهای خود در پیشگاه خدا همكاران جدّی من باشید،

³¹that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;

³¹ یعنی دعا كنید، كه من از دست بی‌ایمانان در یهودیه در امان باشم و خدمت من مورد قبول مقدّسین اورشلیم واقع شود

³²that I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest.

³² و به این وسیله به خواست خدا با خوشی به ‌سوی شما بیایم و از حضورتان نیروی تازه‌‌ای بگیرم. خدا كه سرچشمهٔ آرامش است، با همهٔ شما باد، آمین.

³³Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
