¹Hear my voice, God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

¹Ouve, ó Deus, a minha voz na minha queixa; preserva a minha voz na minha queixa; preserva a minha vida do horror do inimigo.

²Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;

²Esconde-me do secreto conselho dos maus, e do ajuntamento dos que praticam a iniqüidade,

³who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and aim their arrows, deadly words,

³os quais afiaram a sua língua como espada, e armaram por suas flechas palavras amargas.

⁴to shoot innocent men from ambushes. They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly.

⁴Para em lugares ocultos atirarem sobre o íntegro; disparam sobre ele repentinamente, e não temem.

⁵They encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say, “Who will see them?”

⁵Firmam-se em mau intento; falam de armar laços secretamente, e dizem: Quem nos verá?

⁶They plot injustice, saying, “We have made a perfect plan!” Surely man’s mind and heart are cunning.

⁶Planejam iniqüidades; ocultam planos bem traçados; pois o íntimo e o coração do homem são inescrutáveis.

⁷But God will shoot at them. They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.

⁷Mas Deus disparará sobre eles uma seta, e de repente ficarão feridos.

⁸Their own tongues shall ruin them. All who see them will shake their heads.

⁸Assim serão levados a tropeçar, por causa das suas próprias línguas; todos aqueles que os virem fugirão.

⁹All mankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.

⁹E todos os homens temerão, e anunciarão a obra de Deus, e considerarão a obra de Deus, e considerarão prudentemente os seus feitos.

¹⁰The righteous shall be glad in Yahweh, and shall take refuge in him. All the upright in heart shall praise him!

¹⁰O justo se alegrará no Senhor e confiará nele, e todos os de coração reto cantarão louvores.
