1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

2“Dominion and fear are with him. He makes peace in his high places.
2Panstvo a strach je u neho; pôsobí pokoj na svojich výsostiach.
3Can his armies be counted? On whom does his light not arise?
3Či je počet jeho čatám? Alebo nad kým nevychádza jeho svetlo?
4How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?
4A jako by tedy mohol byť smrteľný človek spravedlivý pred silným Bohom, alebo jako byť čistý splodený zo ženy?
5Behold, even the moon has no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight;
5Hľa, ani mesiac mu nesvieti dosť jasne, a hviezdy nie sú čisté v jeho očiach.
6How much less man, who is a worm, the son of man, who is a worm!”
6Čo potom smrteľný človek, červ a syn človeka, červiak!
