1Then drew near the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
1Potom pristúpily dcéry Celafchada, syna Chéferovho, syna Gileádovho, syna Machírovho, syna Manassesovho, z čeľadí Manassesa, syna Jozefovho. Toto sú mená jeho dcér: Machla a Noa, Chogla, Milka a Tirca.
2They stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, at the door of the Tent of Meeting, saying,
2A postavily sa pred Mojžišom a Eleazárom, kňazom, pred kniežatami a pred celou obcou pri dveriach stánu shromaždenia a riekly:
3“Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Yahweh in the company of Korah: but he died in his own sin; and he had no sons.
3Náš otec zomrel na púšti, a on nebol v obci tých, ktorí sa boli srotili proti Hospodinovi, v obci Kóracha, lebo zomrel za svoj hriech a nemal synov.
4Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.”
4Nuž prečo má byť vyhladené meno nášho otca zpomedzi jeho čeľade, keď nemal syna? Daj nám vlastníctvo medzi bratmi nášho otca!
5Moses brought their cause before Yahweh.
5A Mojžiš predložil ich vec Hospodinovi.
6Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
6A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi takto:
7“The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: you shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers; and you shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
7Správne hovoria dcéry Celafchadove. Áno, dáš im vlastníctvo dedičstva medzi bratmi ich otca a dáš, aby prešlo dedičstvo ich otca na ne.
8You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
8A synom Izraelovým budeš hovoriť: Keby niekto zomrel a syna by nemal, dáte, aby prešlo jeho dedičstvo na jeho dcéru.
9If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
9Keby nemal ani dcéry, dáte jeho dedičstvo jeho bratom.
10If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
10A keby nemal ani bratov, dáte jeho dedičstvo bratom jeho otca.
11If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be to the children of Israel a statute and ordinance, as Yahweh commanded Moses.’”
11A keby jeho otec nemal bratov, dáte jeho dedičstvo jeho pokrevnému, ktorý mu je najbližší z jeho čeľade a zaujme ho dedične. A bude to synom Izraelovým za súdne ustanovenie, tak ako prikázal Hospodin Mojžišovi.
12Yahweh said to Moses, “Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.
12A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: Vyjdi hore na tento vrch Abárim a vidz zem, ktorú som dal synom Izraelovým.
13When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered;
13A keď ju uvidíš, budeš pripojený k svojmu ľudu i ty, jako bol pripojený Áron, tvoj brat,
14because you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
14pretože ste sa vzopreli proti môjmu rozkazu na púšti Tsin, vtedy, keď sa svárila obec, kde ste ma mali posvätiť pri tých vodách pred ich očami. To sú tie vody sváru v Kádeši, na púšti Tsin.
15Moses spoke to Yahweh, saying,
15A Mojžiš hovoril Hospodinovi a riekol:
16“Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
16Nech ustanoví Hospodin, Bôh duchov, ducha každého tela, schopného muža nad obcou,
17who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of Yahweh not be as sheep which have no shepherd.”
17ktorý pojde von pred nimi a ktorý bude vchádzať pred nimi, ktorý ich bude vyvádzať a ktorý ich bude vovádzať, aby nebola obec Hospodinova jako ovce, ktoré nemajú pastiera.
18Yahweh said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;
18A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: Pojmi si Jozuu, syna Núnovho, muža, v ktorom je duch, a položíš na neho svoju ruku.
19and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and commission him in their sight.
19Postavíš ho pred Eleazára, kňaza, a pred celú obec a prikážeš mu pred ich očami.
20You shall put of your honor on him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey.
20A dáš na neho zo svojej slávy, aby ho poslúchali, celá obec synov Izraelových.
21He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Yahweh: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.”
21A postaví sa pred Eleazárom, kňazom, ktorý sa bude za neho dopytovať tak, ako je obyčaj pri úrim, pred Hospodinom. Na jeho rozkaz vyjdú a na jeho rozkaz vojdú, on i všetci synovia Izraelovi s ním i celá obec.
22Moses did as Yahweh commanded him; and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
22A Mojžiš učinil tak, ako mu prikázal Hospodin, pojal Jozuu a postavil ho pred Eleazára, kňaza, a pred celú obec.
23and he laid his hands on him, and commissioned him, as Yahweh spoke by Moses.
23A položil svoje ruky na neho a prikázal mu tak, ako hovoril Hospodin skrze Mojžiša.
