¹Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright.

¹Plesajte, spravedliví, v Hospodinovi! Úprimným sluší chvála.

²Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings.

²Oslavujte Hospodina na citare a na harfe o desiatich strunách; spievajte mu žalmy!

³Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!

³Spievajte mu novú pieseň; huďte dobre s radostným pokrikom!

⁴For the word of Yahweh is right. All his work is done in faithfulness.

⁴Lebo slovo Hospodinovo je priame, a každé jeho dielo je stále.

⁵He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh.

⁵Milujte spravedlivosť a súd; zem je plná milosti Hospodinovej.

⁶By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth.

⁶Slovom Hospodinovým učinené sú nebesia a duchom jeho úst všetko ich vojsko.

⁷He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.

⁷Hromadí vody mora a stavia ich ako hať; dáva priepasti medzi poklady.

⁸Let all the earth fear Yahweh. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

⁸Nech sa bojí Hospodina celá zem; nech sa ho strachujú všetci obyvatelia okruhu sveta.

⁹For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

⁹Lebo on povedal, a stalo sa; on rozkázal, a postavilo sa.

¹⁰Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

¹⁰Hospodin ruší radu národov; na nič obracia myšlienky ľudí.

¹¹The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹¹Rada Hospodinova stojí na veky, myšlienky jeho srdca z pokolenia na pokolenie.

¹²Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

¹²Blahoslavený národ, ktorého je Hospodin Bohom, ľud, ktorý vyvolil sebe za dedičstvo.

¹³Yahweh looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

¹³Hospodin hľadí z nebies; vidí všetkých synov človeka.

¹⁵he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works.

¹⁶There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

¹⁶Kráľ nie je zachránený velikou mocou vojennou, ani hrdina nebude vytrhnutý svojou velikou silou.

¹⁷A horse is a vain thing for safety, neither does he deliver any by his great power.

¹⁷Klamný je kôň, kde ide o záchranu, a nevychváti vo svojej veľkej sile.

¹⁸Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness;

¹⁸Hľa, oko Hospodinovo hľadí na tých, ktorí sa ho boja, na tých, ktorí očakávajú na jeho milosť,

¹⁹to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.

¹⁹aby vytrhol ich dušu zo smrti a živil ich v čas hladu.

²⁰Our soul has waited for Yahweh. He is our help and our shield.

²⁰Naša duša čaká Hospodina; našou pomocou a naším štítom je on.

²¹For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

²¹Lebo v ňom sa bude radovať naše srdce, pretože sa nadejeme na meno jeho svätosti.

²²Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.

²²Nech je, ó, Hospodine, tvoja milosť nad nami, jako očakávame na teba.
