¹A tak teraz už nieto nijakého odsúdenia tým, ktorí sú v Kristu Ježišovi, ktorí nechodia podľa tela, ale podľa Ducha.

⁹But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

⁹ale vy nie ste v tele, ale v duchu, akže Duch Boží prebýva vo vás. Ale ak niekto nemá Ducha Kristovho, ten neni jeho.

¹⁰If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

¹⁰Ale ak je Kristus vo vás, vtedy je síce telo mŕtve pre hriech, ale duch je život pre spravedlivosť.

¹¹But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

¹¹A jestli Duch toho, ktorý vzkriesil Ježiša z mŕtvych, prebýva vo vás, tak tedy ten, ktorý vzkriesil Krista Ježiša z mŕtvych, oživí aj vaše smrteľné telá skrze svojho Ducha, ktorý prebýva vo vás.

¹²So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

¹²A tak tedy, bratia, dlžníci sme nie telu, aby sme žili podľa tela.

¹³For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

¹³Lebo ak žijete podľa tela, zomriete; ale ak Duchom mŕtvite skutky tela, budete žiť.

¹⁴For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.

¹⁵Lebo ste nevzali ducha služby, aby ste sa zase báli, ale ste vzali ducha synovstva, v ktorom voláme: Abba, Otče!

¹⁷A jestli deťmi, tedy aj dedičmi, dedičmi Božími a spoludedičmi Kristovými; akže spolu trpíme, aby sme aj spolu boli oslávení.

¹⁸Lebo tak súdim, že utrpenia terajšieho času nie sú hodny, aby boly prirovnané k budúcej sláve, ktorá má byť zjavená na nás.

¹⁹Lebo túžobné vyzeranie stvorenstva očakáva zjavenie synov Božích.

²⁰For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but because of him who subjected it, in hope

²⁰Lebo stvorenstvo je podriadené márnosti, a nepodriadilo sa dobrovoľne, ale pre toho, ktorý ho podriadil,

²¹that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.

²¹v nádeji, že aj samo stvorenstvo bude oslobodené od služby porušenia v slobodu slávy detí Božích.

²²For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.

²²Lebo vieme, že celé stvorenstvo spolu vzdychá a spolu bolestí jako v pôrode až doteraz.

²³Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.

²³No, nie len to, ale aj sami, majúc prvotinu Ducha, aj my sami vzdycháme v sebe, očakávajúc synovstvo, vykúpenie svojeho tela.

²⁴For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees?

²⁴Lebo sme spasení v nádeji. Ale nádej, ktorá sa vidí, nie je nádejou, lebo na to, čo niekto vidí, prečo by sa na to aj nadejal?

²⁵But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.

²⁵Ale ak sa nadejeme na to, čoho nevidíme, vtedy očakávame v trpezlivosti.

²⁶In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.

²⁶A tak podobne i Duch spolu pomáha našim slabostiam. Lebo toho, čo by sme sa mali modliť, ako sa patrí, nevieme: ale sám Duch sa prihovára za nás nevysloviteľnými vzdychaniami.

²⁷He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.

²⁷A ten, ktorý zpytuje srdcia, vie, čo je myseľ Ducha, že sa podľa Boha prihovára za svätých.

²⁸We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

²⁸A vieme, že tým, ktorí milujú Boha, všetko spolu pôsobí na dobré, tým, ktorí sú povolaní podľa preduloženia.

²⁹For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.”

²⁹Lebo ktorých predzvedel, tých aj predurčil za súpodobných obrazu svojho Syna, aby on bol prvorodeným medzi mnohými bratmi.

³¹What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

³⁴Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

³⁴Kde kto odsúdi? Kristus Ježiš je, ktorý zomrel, a viacej, ktorý aj vstal z mŕtvych, ktorý aj je po pravici Božej, ktorý sa aj prihovára za nás.

³⁵Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

³⁵Kto nás odlúči od lásky Kristovej? Či súženie alebo úzkosť alebo prenasledovanie alebo hlad alebo nahota alebo nebezpečenstvo alebo meč?

³⁶Even as it is written, “For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Psalm 44:22

³⁶Ako je napísané: Pre teba sme usmrcovaní celý deň; považovaní sme za ovce na zabitie.

³⁷No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

³⁷Ale v tom vo všetkom statne víťazíme skrze toho, ktorý nás zamiloval.

³⁸For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,

³⁸Lebo som presvedčený, že ani smrť ani život ani anjeli ani vrchnosti ani moci ani prítomné ani budúce veci

³⁹nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

³⁹ani vysokosť ani hlbokosť ani niktoré iné stvorenie nebude môcť odlúčiť nás od lásky Božej, ktorá je v Kristu Ježišovi, našom Pánovi.
