2While I live, I will praise Yahweh. I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.
2Hvalil bom GOSPODA v življenju svojem, psalme prepeval Bogu svojemu, dokler bodem živ.
3Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help.
3Ne zanašajte se na poglavarje, na sina človeškega, pri katerem ni rešitve.
4His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish.
4Duh njegov izide, pa se povrne v prah svoj, isti dan minejo vse misli njegove.
5Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God:
5Blagor mu, komur je pomočnik Bog mogočni Jakobov, čigar nada je v GOSPODU, Bogu njegovem,
6who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;
6ki je ustvaril nebesa in zemljo, morje in karkoli je v njih; ki hrani resnico vekomaj,
7who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. Yahweh frees the prisoners.
7ki pridobiva pravico zatiranim, hrane daje lačnim. GOSPOD oprošča jetnike,
8Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.
8GOSPOD odpira oči slepim, GOSPOD vzdiguje potrte, GOSPOD ljubi pravične,
9Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
9GOSPOD brani tujce, siroto in vdovo podpira, pot brezbožnih pa podira.Vladal bo GOSPOD vekomaj, Bog tvoj, o Sion, od roda do roda. Aleluja!
10Yahweh will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise Yah!
