¹After this, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree.

¹In potem sem videl štiri angele, stoječe na četverih voglih zemlje, držeče četvere vetrove zemlje, da ne veje veter po zemlji, ne po morju, ne čez nobeno drevo.

²I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,

²In videl sem drugega angela, stopajočega gori od solnčnega vzhoda, ki je imel pečat Boga živega; in je zaklical z glasom velikim četverim angelom, ki jim je bilo dano kaziti zemljo in morje,

³saying, “Don’t harm the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!”

³rekoč: Ne kazite zemlje, ne morja, ne dreves, dokler ne zapečatimo hlapcev Boga našega na njih čelih.

⁴I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:

⁵of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,

⁵Iz rodu Judovega dvanajst tisoč zapečatenih, iz rodu Rubenovega dvanajst tisoč zapečatenih, iz rodu Gadovega dvanajst tisoč,

⁶of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,

⁶iz rodu Aserjevega dvanajst tisoč, iz rodu Neftalimovega dvanajst tisoč, iz rodu Manasejevega dvanajst tisoč,

⁷of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,

⁸of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

⁸iz rodu Zabulonovega dvanajst tisoč, iz rodu Jožefovega dvanajst tisoč, iz rodu Benjaminovega dvanajst tisoč zapečatenih.

⁹After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.

⁹Potem sem videl, in glej: velika množica, ki je nihče ni mogel sešteti, iz vsakega naroda in iz vseh rodov in ljudstev in jezikov, stoječe pred prestolom in pred Jagnjetom, oblečene z belimi oblačili in palme v njih rokah,

¹⁰They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

¹⁰in kličejo z glasom velikim, rekoč: Zveličanje Bogu našemu, sedečemu na prestolu, in Jagnjetu!

¹¹All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God,

¹¹In vsi angeli so stali okrog prestola in starejšin in četverih živali in so padli pred prestolom na obličje in so molili Boga,

¹²saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

¹²rekoč: Amen! Blagoslov in slava in modrost in zahvala in čast in moč in krepkost Bogu našemu na vekov veke! Amen!

¹³One of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are arrayed in white robes, who are they, and from where did they come?”

¹³In izpregovori eden izmed starejšin, rekoč mi: Kdo so ti, oblečeni z belimi oblačili, in odkod so prišli?

¹⁴I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.

¹⁴In mu rečem: Gospod moj, ti veš. In mi reče: To so tisti, ki prihajajo iz stiske velike in so oprali oblačila svoja in jih pobelili v krvi Jagnjetovi.

¹⁵Therefore they are before the throne of God, they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.

¹⁵Zato so pred prestolom Božjim in mu služijo noč in dan v svetišču njegovem, in sedeči na prestolu razpne svoj šator nad njimi.

¹⁶They will never be hungry, neither thirsty any more; neither will the sun beat on them, nor any heat;

¹⁶Lačni ne bodo več, ne žejni več, tudi solnce jih ne zadene, ne vročina nobena;kajti Jagnje, ki je sredi prestola, jih bo paslo in jih vodilo k studencem voda življenja; in Bog obriše vsako solzo ž njih oči.

¹⁷for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shepherds them, and leads them to springs of waters of life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

¹⁷kajti Jagnje, ki je sredi prestola, jih bo paslo in jih vodilo k studencem voda življenja; in Bog obriše vsako solzo ž njih oči.
