²Kajti hišni maliki so govorili prazne reči in vedeževalci so videli laži; in govore lažnive sanje, tolažijo brezuspešno. Zato so zbežali kakor čreda, potlačeni so, ker jim ni pastirja.

³Nad pastirji se je vnela jeza moja, in kozle bom kaznoval; kajti GOSPOD nad vojskami obišče čredo svojo, hišo Judovo, in jo enako stori svojemu krasnemu konju v bitki.

⁶In okrepim hišo Judovo in rešim hišo Jožefovo, in dam jim mirno prebivati; kajti njih sem se usmilil in bodo, kakor bi jih ne bil zavrgel. Zakaj jaz sem Jehova, njih Bog, in nje uslišim.

⁷Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine; yes, their children will see it, and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh.

⁷In Efraim bode kakor junak, in njih srce se bo veselilo kakor od vina; in njih otroci se bodo, videč to, radovali; njih srce se bo veselilo v GOSPODU.

⁸I will signal for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them; and they will increase as they have increased.

⁸Zažvižgam jim in jih zberem, ker sem jih odrešil; in razmnože se, kakor so se prej razmnožili.

⁹I will sow them among the peoples; and they will remember me in far countries; and they will live with their children, and will return.

⁹In sejal jih bom med ljudstva, a v daljavi se bodo mene spominjali; in bodo živeli z otroki svojimi in se povrnili.

¹⁰I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and there won’t be room enough for them.
