³In Tir si je zgradil trdnjavo in nakopičil srebra kakor prahu in čistega zlata kakor blata po ulicah.

⁴Behold, the Lord will dispossess her, and he will strike her power in the sea; and she will be devoured with fire.

⁴Glej, Gospod mu vzame posest in uniči moč njegovo na morju, in njega požre ogenj.

⁵Ashkelon will see it, and fear; Gaza also, and will writhe in agony; as will Ekron, for her expectation will be disappointed; and the king will perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon will not be inhabited.

⁵Askelon bo to videl in se bal, tudi Gaza ter bo silno trepetala, pa tudi Ekron, ker je osramočeno upanje njegovo; in kralj izgine iz Gaze in Askelon ne bo imel prebivalcev.

⁶In v Asdodu bo stanoval mešanec, in pokončam prevzetnost Filistejcev.

⁹Močno se veséli, hči sionska, ukaj, hči jeruzalemska! Glej, kralj tvoj pride k tebi: pravičen je in rešitelj [Ali: prinaša rešitev (zmago).], pohleven in sedeč na oslu, in sicer na mladem osličinem žrebetu.

¹⁰I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow will be cut off; and he will speak peace to the nations: and his dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

¹⁰In iztrebim bojne vozove Efraima in konje iz Jeruzalema, in bojni lok bo zlomljen. In mir ukaže narodom, in gospostvo njegovo bo segalo od morja do morja in od velereke do koncev zemlje.

¹¹As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant, I have set free your prisoners from the pit in which is no water.

¹¹Tebi pa izpustim zavoljo krvi zaveze tvoje jetnike tvoje iz jame, v kateri ni vode.

¹²Turn to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope! Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.

¹²Obrnite se k trdnjavi, ki ste jetniki v upanju! Že danes oznanjam, da ti dvojno povrnem.

¹³For indeed I bend Judah as a bow for me. I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and will make you like the sword of a mighty man.

¹³Kajti napel sem si Judo kakor lok in Efraima nanj položil kakor pšico; in tvoje sinove, o Sion, pobudim nad tvoje sinove, o Grška dežela, in te napravim kakor junakov meč.

¹⁴Yahweh will be seen over them; and his arrow will go flash like lightning; and the Lord Yahweh will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

¹⁴In GOSPOD se prikaže nad njimi, in njegova pšica šine kakor blisk; in Gospod Jehova zatrobi na trobento in pojde z južnimi viharji.

¹⁵Yahweh of Armies will defend them; and they will destroy and overcome with sling stones; and they will drink, and roar as through wine; and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.

¹⁵GOSPOD nad vojskami jim bode obrana, in jedli bodo in pogazili sovražnike kakor kamenje iz prače, in bodo pili, razgrajali kakor od vina, in polni bodo kakor daritvene čaše, kakor rogovi pri oltarju.

¹⁶Yahweh their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people; for they are like the jewels of a crown, lifted on high over his land.

¹⁶In GOSPOD, njih Bog, jim da rešitev tisti dan kot čredi ljudstva svojega; kajti bodo kakor kameni v kroni, ki se leskečejo nad njegovo zemljo.Kajti kolika bo njih dobrota in kolika njih lepota! Po žitu bodo uspevali mladeniči in po moštu device.

¹⁷For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.
