1The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me.
1In prišla mi je beseda GOSPODA nad vojskami, govoreč:
2Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.”
2Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Vnet sem za Sion z veliko gorečnostjo in z velikim srdom gorim zanj.
3Thus says Yahweh: “I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called ‘The City of Truth;’ and the mountain of Yahweh of Armies, ‘The Holy Mountain.’”
3Tako pravi GOSPOD: Vrnem se na Sion in sredi Jeruzalema bom prebival; in Jeruzalem se bo imenoval Mesto resnice in gora GOSPODA nad vojskami Gora svetosti.
4Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Old men and old women will again dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
4Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Še bodo posedali po ulicah v Jeruzalemu starčki in starke, vsak s palico v roki zavoljo visoke starosti.
5The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.”
5In mestne ulice bodo polne dečkov in deklic, ki se bodo igrali po ulicah njegovih.
6Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes?” says Yahweh of Armies.
6Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Ako se bo čudežno zdelo ostankom tega ljudstva v tistih dneh, bo li tudi čudežno v mojih očeh? govori GOSPOD nad vojskami.
7Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
7Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Glej, jaz rešim ljudstvo svoje iz dežele proti solnčnemu vzhodu in iz dežele proti solnčnemu zahodu;
8and I will bring them, and they will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.”
8in privedem jih sem, in bodo prebivali v Jeruzalemu; in bodo mi za ljudstvo in jaz jim bodem za Boga v resnici in pravičnosti.
9Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets who were in the day that the foundation of the house of Yahweh of Armies was laid, even the temple, that it might be built.
9Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Utrdite si roke, kateri slišite v teh dneh te besede iz ust prorokov, ki so bili ob času, ko se je položil temelj hiši GOSPODA nad vojskami, templju, da bi se zgradil.
10For before those days there was no wages for man, nor any wages for an animal; neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor.
10Kajti pred temi dnevi se ni izplačalo delo ljudem, ne živini; in ni bilo miru spričo zatiralca njemu, ki je odhajal in ki je prihajal, ker sem pustil vsem ljudem, da so se zaletavali drug v drugega.
11But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days,” says Yahweh of Armies.
11Sedaj pa ne bodem proti ostanku tega ljudstva kakor v prejšnjih dneh, govori GOSPOD nad vojskami.
12“For the seed of peace and the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will give its increase, and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.
12Kajti požene setev miru: vinska trta obrodi svoj sad in zemlja donese letino svojo in nebo da roso svojo; in vse to izročim v dedno last ostanku tega ljudstva.
13It shall come to pass that, as you were a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Don’t be afraid. Let your hands be strong.”
13In zgodi se, kakor ste bili prokletstvo med poganskimi narodi, o hiša Judova in hiša Izraelova, tako vas rešim in bodete blagoslov. Ne bojte se, utrdite si roke!
14For thus says Yahweh of Armies: “As I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and I didn’t repent;
14Kajti tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Kakor sem mislil vam storiti hudo, ko so me dražili v jezo očetje vaši, pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami, in se nisem kesal,
15so again have I thought in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Don’t be afraid.
15tako zopet namerjam v teh dneh storiti dobro Jeruzalemu in hiši Judovi. Ne bojte se!
16These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates,
16To pa je, kar delajte: Govorite resnico vsak z bližnjim svojim; sodite po resnici in izrekajte razsodbo miru med vrati svojimi,
17and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor, and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate,” says Yahweh.
17in nihče ne izmišljaj v srcu svojem hudega zoper soseda svojega in ne ljubite krive prisege, ker vse to sovražim, govori GOSPOD.
18The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me.
18In prišla mi je beseda GOSPODA nad vojskami, govoreč:
19Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “The fasts of the fourth fifth, seventh, and tenth months shall be for the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.”
19Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Post četrtega in post petega in post sedmega in desetega meseca bode hiši Judovi v radost in veselje in v praznike vesele; samo ljubite resnico in mir!
20Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Many peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come;
20Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Še se zgodi, da pridejo ljudstva in prebivalci mnogih mest;
21and the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying, ‘Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of Armies. I will go also.’
21in prebivalci enega mesta pojdejo k drugemu in poreko: „Pojdimo hitro prosit blagovoljnosti GOSPODOVE in iskat GOSPODA nad vojskami!“ „Tudi jaz pojdem!“
22Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of Armies in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.”
22In pridejo mnoga ljudstva in mogočni poganski narodi, da bi iskali GOSPODA nad vojskami v Jeruzalemu in prosili blagovoljnosti GOSPODOVE.Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Tiste dni zgrabi deset mož iz vseh jezikov poganskih narodov, zgrabijo, pravim, rob suknje judovskega moža in poreko: Z vami pojdemo, kajti slišali smo, da je Bog z vami.
23Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”
23Tako pravi GOSPOD nad vojskami: Tiste dni zgrabi deset mož iz vseh jezikov poganskih narodov, zgrabijo, pravim, rob suknje judovskega moža in poreko: Z vami pojdemo, kajti slišali smo, da je Bog z vami.
