Ezekiel

3

1He said to me, Son of man, eat that which you find. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.
2So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat the scroll.
2 Ay binde n'ay meyo fiti, kal a n'ay daŋ ya tira ŋwa.
3He said to me, Son of man, cause your belly to eat, and fill your bowels with this scroll that I give you. Then I ate it; and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
3 A ne ay se:« Boro izo, kala ma ni gunda ŋwaayandi, ma ni teelo toonandi mo da tiro wo kaŋ ay go ga ni no.» Kala ay ŋwa. Ay meyo ra kay, a ga kaan sanda yu cine.
4He said to me, Son of man, go to the house of Israel, and speak my words to them.
4 A ne ay se: «Boro izo, ma kaa ka koy Israyla dumo do, m'ay sanney ci i se.
5For you are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel;
5 Zama i mana ni donton deene waani fo dumi do, wala borey kaŋ yaŋ i sanno maayaŋ ga sandi, amma ni ma koy Israyla dumo do.
6not to many peoples of a strange speech and of a hard language, whose words you can not understand. Surely, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you.
6 Manti dumi boobo deene yawkoyey do bo, wala ciine kaŋ maayaŋ ga sandi, kaŋ ni si hin ka faham d'i sanney. Daahir, d'i dumiyaŋ do no ay na ni donton, doŋ i day ga hanga jeeri ka maa ni se.
7But the house of Israel will not listen to you; for they will not listen to me: for all the house of Israel are obstinate and hard-hearted.
Zama Israyla dumo kulu ya boŋ sandoyaŋ no, hanga sandoyaŋ mo no.
8Behold, I have made your face hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.
8 A go mo, ay na ni hanga sandandi danga i waney cine.
9As an adamant harder than flint have I made your forehead: don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.
9 Ay ga ni sukuto sandandi danga daminti cine, hal a ma bisa baa captu tondi gaabi. Ma si humbur'ey, ni bina ma si pati mo i mo basuyaŋo kaŋ i ga te ni gaa se, zama dumi no kaŋ ga murte.»
10Moreover he said to me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with your ears.
10 A ne ay se koyne: «Boro izo, sanni kulu kaŋ ay ga ci ni se, m'i ta ni bina ra, ma maa da ni hanga mo.
11Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.
11 Ma koy mo tamtaray waney do, da ni borey izey do. D'i maa wala i wangu, ni ma ne i se: Yaa no Rabbi, Koy Beero ci:»
12Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of Yahweh from his place.
12 Kala Biya n'ay sambu beene. Ay maa yooje bambata jinde mo ay banda kaŋ ne: «I ma Rabbi darza beerandi nga nangora do!!»
13I heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, even the noise of a great rushing.
13 Ay maa mo fundikooney din fatey tuku care gaa yaŋ kosongu, da kanjey kaŋ go i jarga kosongo, yooje beero din jinde nooya.
14So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; and the hand of Yahweh was strong on me.
15Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel Aviv, that lived by the river Chebar, and to where they lived; and I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days.
15 Ay binde kaa tamtaray izey do yaadin Tel-Abib ra, borey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga goro Kebar isa me gaa, hala ay goro nango kaŋ i bara nda goray. Jirbi iyye ay go i game ra, ay londey bu mo pat!
16It happened at the end of seven days, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
17Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel: therefore hear the word from my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18When I tell the wicked, You shall surely die; and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at your hand.
18 Zama waati kaŋ ay ne boro laalo se: «Daahir, ni ga bu no!» ni mo, da ni mana boro laala din kaseeti, ni mana kaseetiyaŋ sanni te mo kaŋ ga naŋ a ma fay da nga laala fonda ka du ka nga fundo faaba -- kala boro laala din ma bu nga taalo ra, amma ay g'a kuro alhakko ceeci ni gaa.
19Yet if you warn the wicked, and he doesn’t turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
19 Amma da ni na boro laala din kaseeti, hala nga mo wangu ka bare ka nga laalayaŋo da laala fonda mo naŋ, to, a ga bu nga taalo ra, amma nin wo, ni na ni boŋ kaa kambe.
20Again, when a righteous man does turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at your hand.
20 Adilante* mo, d'a bare ka fay da nga adilitara, hal a na zunubi goy te, ay na katiyaŋ hari daŋ mo a jine, a ga bu, zama ni mana kaseeti a gaa. A ga bu nga zunubo ra. Ay si baa fongu a adilitaray goyey kaŋ a te gaa, amma ay g'a kuro alhakko ceeci ni gaa.
21Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.
22The hand of Yahweh was there on me; and he said to me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with you.
22 Rabbi kamba binde go ay boŋ noodin. A ne ay se mo: «Tun ka fatta ka koy batama ra, noodin no ay ga salaŋ ni se.»
23Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and behold, the glory of Yahweh stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.
Rabbi darza mo go ga kay noodin, sanda darza kaŋ cine ay di Kebar isa me gaa. Kal ay kaŋ gande birante.
24Then the Spirit entered into me, and set me on my feet; and he spoke with me, and said to me, Go, shut yourself inside your house.
25But you, son of man, behold, they shall lay bands on you, and shall bind you with them, and you shall not go out among them:
25 Amma a go, ya nin, boro izo, i ga ni di ka ni haw da korfoyaŋ kaŋ ga naŋ ni si du ka fatta ka koy i do.
26and I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth, that you shall be mute, and shall not be to them a reprover; for they are a rebellious house.
27But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: He who hears, let him hear; and he who forbears, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.
Ni ma ne i se: «Rabbi, Koy Beero sanno no ay kande!» Boro kaŋ ga maa, a ma maa. Boro kaŋ ga wangu ka maa mo, a ma soobay ka wangu, zama dumi kaŋ ga murte no.
