Jeremiah

23

1Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says Yahweh.
1 Kaari hawjiyey kaŋ yaŋ goono g'ay kuray nangey feejey halaci k'i say-say! Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
2Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed my people: You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them; behold, I will visit on you the evil of your doings, says Yahweh.
2 Woodin sabbay se binde, yaa no Rabbi, Israyla Irikoyo ci hawjiyey boŋ kaŋ yaŋ goono g'ay jama kuru: Araŋ n'ay alman kuro say, araŋ n'i gaaray, araŋ man'i kunfa mo. A go, ay g'araŋ goyey laalayaŋo candi ka kande araŋ boŋ. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
3I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply.
3 Gaa no ay bumbo, ay ga ye k'ay alman kuro kaŋ cindi din margu-margu ka fun d'ey laabey kulu ra, nangey kaŋ ay n'i gaaray ka kond'ey. Ay ga ye ka kand'ey ngey kalo ra. I ga ize boobo hay, i ga zaada mo.
4I will set up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking, says Yahweh.
4 Ay ga hawjiyaŋ daŋ i se mo kaŋ yaŋ g'i kuru. Kuro si ye ka humburu koyne, i si joote, baa afo si jaŋ i ra mo. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
5Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
5 Yaa no Rabbi ci: A go, jirbiyaŋ goono ga kaa, Kaŋ ay ga Tuuri Kambe fo tunandi Dawda se kaŋ gonda adilitaray. A ga may, a ga ciya bonkooni, A ga goy da laakal, A ga cimi ciiti nda adilitaray te laabo ra.
6In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name by which he shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.
6 A jirbey ra Yahuda ga du faaba, Israyla mo ga baani goray te. Maa kaŋ i g'a ce d'a neeya: Rabbi iri Adilitara.
7Therefore behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that they shall no more say, As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
7 Woodin sabbay se guna, jirbiyaŋ goono ga kaa, yaa no Rabbi ci, kaŋ boro si ye ka ne: «Ay ga ze da Rabbi fundikoono, nga kaŋ fun da Israyla izey Misira laabo ra.»
8but, As Yahweh lives, who brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries where I had driven them. They shall dwell in their own land.
8 Amma boro ga ne: «Ay ga ze da Rabbi fundikoono, nga kaŋ fun da Israyla banda azawa kambe nda laabey kulu ra,» nangey kaŋ yaŋ ay n'i gaaray ka kond'ey. I ga goro mo ngey laabo ra.
9Concerning the prophets. My heart within me is broken, all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of Yahweh, and because of his holy words.
9 Annabey boŋ sanni no, Ay bina dooru. Ay biriyey kulu go ga jijiri, Ay ciya sanda boro kaŋ bugu, Sanda boro kaŋ duvan* hin a, Rabbi nda nga sanni hanantey sabbay se.
10For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourns; the pastures of the wilderness are dried up. Their course is evil, and their might is not right;
10 Zama laabo to da zina-teeriyaŋ. Laaliyaŋ sabbay se no laabo goono ga te bine saray. Saajo ra kurey nangey koogu, Borey daa ga laala no, i hino mo, cimi si no a ra.
11for both prophet and priest are profane; yes, in my house have I found their wickedness, says Yahweh.
11 Zama annabey da alfagey, I sata hinka kulu sinda Irikoy ganayaŋ. Oho, baa ay windo ra ay n'i laalayaŋo gar. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
12Therefore their way shall be to them as slippery places in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their visitation, says Yahweh.
12 Woodin sabbay se no i fonda ga ciya i se tansi nanguyaŋ kubay ra, Ay g'i gaaray hal i ma kaŋ a ra. Zama ay ga masiiba candi ka kande i boŋ, Jiiro kaŋ ay ga bana i gaa din ra. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
13I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied by Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.
13 Ay di saamotaray Samariya annabey mo ra. I na annabitaray te da Baal maa k'ay jama Israyla darandi.
14In the prophets of Jerusalem also I have seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies; and they strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that none does return from his wickedness: they are all of them become to me as Sodom, and its inhabitants as Gomorrah.
14 Urusalima annabey ra mo ay di fanta hari: I goono ga zina goy te, i ma tangari fondoyaŋ gana, I goono ga laala goy-teekoy kambey gaabandi, Hala boro fo si no kaŋ goono ga bare ka fun nga fondo laala ra. I kulu ciya ay se sanda Saduma* cine, A ra gorokoy mo ga hima Gomorata* cine.
15Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall; for from the prophets of Jerusalem is ungodliness gone forth into all the land.
15 Woodin se binde, yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci annabey boŋ: A go, ay g'i ŋwaayandi nda kobto forto, Ay m'i tilasandi i ma tay hari haŋ, Zama Urusalima annabey do no Irikoy wangay fun ka koy laabo hirrey kulu me.
16Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you: they teach you vanity; they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of Yahweh.
16 Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci: Wa si hanga jeeri annabey din sanney se kaŋ goono ga annabitaray te araŋ se, Zama sanni yaamoyaŋ no i goono g'araŋ dondonandi nd'a. I goono ga bangayyaŋ ci kaŋ i biney ra no a fun, Manti Rabbi me ra wane no bo.
17They say continually to those who despise me, Yahweh has said, You shall have peace; and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart they say, No evil shall come on you.
18For who has stood in the council of Yahweh, that he should perceive and hear his word? who has marked my word, and heard it?
18 Amma may no ka kay Rabbi saaware marga ra ce fo, Hal a koy ma du ka bay, a ma maa a sanney mo? May no ka hangan a sanno se hal a maa r'a mo?
19Behold, the storm of Yahweh, his wrath, has gone forth. Yes, a whirling storm. It shall burst on the head of the wicked.
19 A go, Rabbi hari haw bambata, kaŋ ga ti a futa, a fatta. Oho, alma haw beeri no. A ga kaŋ boro laaley boŋ.
20The anger of Yahweh shall not return, until he has executed, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand it perfectly.
20 Rabbi futa si bare bo, kala nd'a goy ka ban, A ma nga bine miila kulu toonandi. Jirbey bananta ra araŋ ga faham parkatak.
21I sent not these prophets, yet they ran: I didn’t speak to them, yet they prophesied.
21 Ay mana annabey din donton bo, Kulu nda yaadin i zuru. Ay mana salaŋ i se bo, Kulu nda yaadin i na annabitaray te.
22But if they had stood in my council, then had they caused my people to hear my words, and had turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
22 Amma d'a ciya i kay ay saaware marga ra, Doŋ i g'ay borey daŋ i ma maa ay sanney, Doŋ i g'i bare k'i kaa ngey fondo laalo ra d'i goyey laalayaŋo mo gaa.
23Am I a God at hand, says Yahweh, and not a God afar off?
23 Ay wo Irikoy kaŋ ga maan no. Ay ya Irikoy kaŋ ga mooru mo no. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
24Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Yahweh. Don’t I fill heaven and earth? says Yahweh.
24 Boro fo ga hin ka tugu lokotoyaŋ ra kaŋ ay si di a no? Yaadin no Rabbi ci. Manti ay no ga beena nda ganda toonandi? Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
25I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
25 Ay maa haŋ kaŋ annabey ne, kaŋ yaŋ goono ga tangari annabitaray te d'ay maa. I goono ga ne: «Ay hindiri, ay hindiri!»
26How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, even the prophets of the deceit of their own heart?
26 Waatifo no woodin ga ban annabey kaŋ ga tangari annabitaray te biney ra, da annabey mo kaŋ yaŋ ga ngey biney ra halliyaŋ ci?
27who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgot my name for Baal.
27 I go ga tammahã ngey ga hin ka naŋ ay borey ma dinya ay maa gaa ngey hindirey kaŋ i goono ga ci care se din sabbay se, sanda mate kaŋ cine i kaayey dinya ay maa gaa Baal sabbay se.
28The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he who has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat? says Yahweh.
28 Annabo kaŋ gonda hindiri, a ma nga hindiro dede. Amma boro kaŋ gonda ay sanno, a m'ay sanno ci da mate kaŋ ga saba. I ga subu baano kar alkama gaa no, wala? Yaa no Rabbi ci.
29Isn’t my word like fire? says Yahweh; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
29 Ay sanno, manti sanda danji cine no, wala mo ndarka kaŋ ga tondiyaŋ bagu no? Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
30Therefore behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahweh, who steal my words everyone from his neighbor.
30 Yaa no Rabbi ci: Ay binde ga gaaba nda annabey din kaŋ goono g'ay sanno zay ngey nda care gaa.
31Behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahweh, who use their tongues, and say, He says.
31 Ay ga gaaba nda annabey, ngey kaŋ goono ga ngey meyey fiti ka ne: «Yaa no Rabbi ci...» Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
32Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says Yahweh, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I didn’t send them, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all, says Yahweh.
32 A go mo, ay ga gaaba nda ngey kaŋ ga annabitaray te da tangari hindiriyaŋ k'i dede mo. Yaadin no Rabbi ci. I goono g'ay jama kambandi ka kaa fonda gaa da ngey tangarey, da ngey boŋ sifayaŋ yaamo. Amma ay wo, ay man'i donton, ay man'i lordi, i si nafa kulu te mo jama wo se. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
33When this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask you, saying, What is the burden of Yahweh? Then you shall tell them, What burden! I will cast you off, says Yahweh.
33 Koyne, da jama wo, wala annabi, wala alfaga na ni hã ka ne: «Ifo no ga ti Rabbi jaraw?» kala ni ma ne i se: Araŋ no ga ti jaraw, ay g'araŋ furu mo. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
34As for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, who shall say, The burden of Yahweh, I will even punish that man and his house.
34 Zama annabo din, wala alfaga din, wala bora din, kaŋ ga ne: «Rabbi jarawo neeya» -- kal ay ma bora din da nga windo kulu gooji.
35You shall say everyone to his neighbor, and everyone to his brother, What has Yahweh answered? and, What has Yahweh spoken?
35 Yaadin no araŋ boro fo kulu ga ci nga gorokasin se, da nga nya-izo se mo, a ga ne: «Ifo no Rabbi tu d'a?» Wala a ma ne: «Ifo no Rabbi ci?»
36You shall mention the burden of Yahweh no more: for every man’s own word shall be his burden; for you have perverted the words of the living God, of Yahweh of Armies our God.
36 Araŋ si ye ka fongu Rabbi jarawo gaa koyne, zama boro fo kulu sanni ga ciya nga boŋ se jaraw. Zama Irikoy fundikoono, Rabbi Kundeykoyo, iri Irikoyo nooya, araŋ n'a sanney barmay.
37You shall say to the prophet, What has Yahweh answered you? and, What has Yahweh spoken?
37 Yaa no ni ga ci annabo se: «Ifo no Rabbi tu d'a ni se? Ifo mo no Rabbi ci ni se?»
38But if you say, The burden of Yahweh; therefore thus says Yahweh: Because you say this word, The burden of Yahweh, and I have sent to you, saying, You shall not say, The burden of Yahweh;
39therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, and I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence:
39 woodin sabbay se, a go, haciika ay ga dinya araŋ gaa! Ya araŋ da gallo kaŋ ay n'araŋ d'araŋ kaayey no furu ka kaa ay jine.
40and I will bring an everlasting reproach on you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
40 Koyne, ay ga wowi hari kaŋ ga duumi candi ka kande araŋ boŋ, haawi kaŋ sinda me, kaŋ borey si dinya a gaa.
