Jeremiah

24

1Yahweh showed me, and behold, two baskets of figs set before Yahweh’s temple, after that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
1 Rabbi n'ay cabe, a go mo, ay di cilla hinka go ga sinji Rabbi fu meyo jine, kaŋ yaŋ ga to da jeejay izeyaŋ. Waato kaŋ Babila bonkoono Nebukadnezzar na Yahuda bonkoono Yekoniya Yehoyacim izo di ka kond'a tamtaray, nga nda Yahuda ra mayraykooney kulu, da kambe goy-teerey, da Urusalima ra zamey, a kond'ey Babila, gaa no ay di woodin.
2One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first-ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
2 Cilla fa gonda jeejay ize hanno yaŋ kaŋ ga boori gumo, sanda jeejay ninyaŋ jina wane cine. Cilla fa mo gonda jeejay izeyaŋ kaŋ ga laala gumo, kaŋ yaŋ si ŋwa i fumbuyaŋo sabbay se.
3Then Yahweh said to me, What do you see, Jeremiah? I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, that can’t be eaten, they are so bad.
3 Kala Rabbi ne ay se: «Irimiya, ifo no ni di?» Ay mo ne: «Jeejay izeyaŋ no. Wo kaŋ yaŋ ga boori, i ga boori gumo. Ilaaley mo ga laala hal i si ŋwa, zama i fumbu.»
4The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
4 Kala Rabbi sanno kaa ay do koyne ka ne:
5Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so will I regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, for good.
5 Yaa no Rabbi, Israyla Irikoyo ci: Sanda jeejay izey din kaŋ ga boori, yaadin cine no ay ga Yahuda wongu kuyaŋo izey guna, ngey kaŋ yaŋ ay kaa nango wo ra ka kond'ey Kaldancey laabu.
6For I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
6 Zama gomni no ay g'i guna nd'a, ay ma ye ka kand'ey laabo wo ra koyne. Ay g'i cina, ay si i bagu mo. Ay m'i tilam, ay si i dagu koyne.
7I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Yahweh: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God; for they shall return to me with their whole heart.
7 Ay m'i no bine kaŋ g'ay bay, kaŋ ay ya Rabbi no. I ga ciya ay se jama, ay mo ga ciya i se Irikoy, zama i ga bare ka ye ay do da bine folloŋ.
8As the bad figs, which can’t be eaten, they are so bad, surely thus says Yahweh, So will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt,
8 Koyne, sanda jeejay ize laaley din mo, kaŋ yaŋ si ŋwa i fumbo sabbay se, daahir, Yahuda bonkoono Zedeciya, d'a mayraykoyey, da Urusalima jara kaŋ cindi laabo wo ra, da borey kaŋ yaŋ go Misira laabo ra da goray, yaadin cine no ay g'i guna. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
9I will even give them up to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil; to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them.
10I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, until they be consumed from off the land that I gave to them and to their fathers.
10 Ay ga takuba nda haray da balaaw samba i gaa, kal i ma ban laabo kaŋ ay na ngey da ngey kaayey no din ra.
