Jeremiah

32

1The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
1 Yahuda bonkoono Zedeciya mayra jiiri wayanta ra, kaŋ ga ti Nebukadnezzar mayra jiiri way cindi ahakkanta, sanni fo fun Rabbi do ka kaa Irimiya do.
2Now at that time the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah’s house.
2 Alwaato din no Babila bonkoono wongu marga na Urusalima windi. Annabi Irimiya mo go daabante kas'izey batukwa windo ra kaŋ go Yahuda bonkoono faada ra.
3For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why do you prophesy, and say, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
3 Zama Yahuda bonkoono Zedeciya n'a daabu ka ne: «Ifo se no ni goono ga annabitaray te ka ne: ‹Yaa no Rabbi ci: A go, ay ga gallo wo daŋ Babila bonkoono kambe ra, a g'a ŋwa mo.
4and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall see his eyes;
4 Yahuda bonkoono Zedeciya mo si du ka yana Kaldancey kambe ra, amma daahir no i g'a daŋ Babila bonkoono kambe ra. A ga salaŋ d'a me-da-me, i ga di care mo-da-mo.
5and he shall bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and he shall be there until I visit him, says Yahweh: though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not prosper?
5 A ga Zedeciya sambu ka kond'a Babila, noodin no a ga goro hala waati kaŋ ay g'a zuure _nda buuyaŋ|_. Yaadin no Rabbi ci. Baa araŋ wongu nda Kaldancey, araŋ si te zaama.› »
6Jeremiah said, The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
6 Kala Irimiya ne: «Rabbi sanno kaa ay do ka ne:
7Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come to you, saying, Buy my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.
7 Guna, ni baaba beere Sallum izo Hanameyel ga kaa ni do ka ne: ‹M'ay faro kaŋ go Anatot day ni boŋ se, zama nin no ka bara nd'a fansa fondo.›
8So Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of Yahweh, and said to me, Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of Yahweh.
8 Ay baabo izo Hanameyel binde kaa ay do kas'izey windi ganda ra, Rabbi sanno boŋ.
9I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
9 Ay binde na faro kaŋ go Anatot day ay baabo izo Hanameyel gaa, ay n'a nooro neesi a se, nzarfu sekel* way cindi iyye tiŋay no.
10I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.
10 Ay na daymi seeda hantum tira gaa, ka kawaatimi kar a gaa, ka seedayaŋ ce, ka nzarfo mo cabe i se neesiyaŋ haro ra.
11So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and that which was open;
11 Ay binde na daymi seeda tirey din sambu, kaŋ yaŋ gonda hayey kulu kaŋ boŋ i wafaku, wo kaŋ i daabu ka kawaatimo kar, da wo kaŋ go feerante mo.
12and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.
12 Ay na daymi seeda tira no Baruk Neriya izo, Maaseya izo se, ay baabo izo Hanameyel jine, da seedey kaŋ yaŋ na ngey maayey hantum daymi tira gaa din jine, da Yahudancey kulu jine kaŋ yaŋ goono ga goro noodin kas'izey windi ganda ra.
13I commanded Baruch before them, saying,
13 A binde, i jine no ay na Baruk lordi ka ne:
14Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel; that they may continue many days.
14 Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo sanno neeya: Ma tirey wo sambu, daymi seeda tirey nooya, wo kaŋ i daabu nda kawaatimi, da wo kaŋ go feerante. M'i daŋ botogo kusu ra, zama i ma gay hala jirbi boobo ma bisa.
15For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land.
15 Zama yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci: Han fo ga kaa kaŋ borey ga ye ka windiyaŋ da fariyaŋ da reyzin* kaliyaŋ day laabo wo ra.
16Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to Yahweh, saying,
16 A go mo, waato kaŋ ay na daymi tira no Baruk Neriya izo se, gaa no ay na adduwa te Rabbi gaa ka ne:
17Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for you,
17 «Ya Rabbi, Koy Beero, a go, ni na beene nda ganda te da ni hin bambata, da ni kambe sallanta mo. Hay fo kulu si no kaŋ ga mongu ni se.
18who show loving kindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God, Yahweh of Armies is his name;
19great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
19 Ni ya ibeeri no saaware ra, ni ya Hinkoy no ni goyo ra, ni moy go ga feeri no ka di Adam-izey muraadey kulu, zama ni ma bana boro kulu se nga goyo boŋ, d'a goyo nafa mo boŋ.
20who performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, both in Israel and among other men; and made yourself a name, as in this day;
20 Misira laabo ra ni na alaama nda dambara hariyaŋ cabe Israyla nda boro cindey jine, ni go a gaa mo hala ka kaa sohõ. Ni te maa ni boŋ se kaŋ i ga fong'a hala sohõ.
21and brought forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
22and gave them this land, which you swore to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
22 Ni n'i no laabo wo mo, wo kaŋ ni ze d'a i kaayey se ka ne ni g'i no nd'a, laabu no kaŋ ga wa nda yu bambari.
23and they came in, and possessed it, but they didn’t obey your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come on them.
23 I furo k'a ŋwa, amma i mana ni sanno gana, i mana ni asariya mo gana.
24Behold, the mounds, they have come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what you have spoken has happened; and behold, you see it.
24 Wongu guyaŋ go, i kaa gallo gaa ngey m'a ŋwa se. I ma gallo daŋ mo Kaldancey kaŋ yaŋ goono g'a wongu kambe ra, takuba nda haray da balaaw sabbay se. Haŋ kaŋ ni ci mo, a tabbat. A go mo, ni goono ga di a.
25You have said to me, Lord Yahweh, Buy the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Guna i jin ka gallo wo daŋ Kaldancey kambe ra.»
26Then came the word of Yahweh to Jeremiah, saying,
26 Waato din gaa no Rabbi sanno kaa Irimiya do ka ne:
27Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?
27 Guna, ay no ga ti Rabbi, fundikooney kulu Irikoyo. Hay fo go no kaŋ ga mong'ay se no?
28Therefore thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:
28 Yaa no Rabbi ci: Woodin sabbay se, ay ga gallo wo daŋ Kaldancey kambe ra, da Babila bonkoono Nebukadnezzar kambe ra, a g'a ŋwa mo.
29and the Chaldeans, who fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.
29 Kaldancey binde kaŋ goono ga gallo wo wongu ga kaa ka danji daŋ a gaa, i m'a ton, nga da windey kaŋ yaŋ i na dugu ton Baal se i jidan bisey boŋ, i na haŋyaŋ sargayyaŋ soogu de-koy fooyaŋ se mo zama ngey ma yanje ceeci ay gaa.
30For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says Yahweh.
Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
31For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
31 Daahir gallu woone ciya ay yanje ceeciyaŋ hari, ay ma dukur, ay ma futu mo, za han kaŋ hane i n'a cina ka kaa sohõ, hal ay m'a hibandi ka kaa ay jine.
32because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
32 Ay ga woodin te Israyla izey nda Yahuda izey laala kulu sabbay se kaŋ i te ngey m'ay yanje ceeci se, ngey da ngey bonkooney, d'i mayraykoyey, d'i alfagey, d'i annabey, da Yahuda nda Urusalima gorokoy mo.
33They have turned to me the back, and not the face: and though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.
33 I na banda bare ay gaa, manti nda moyduma bo, baa day kaŋ ay n'i dondonandi nda anniya, ay ga soobay k'i dondonandi. Kulu nda yaadin i mana hanga jeeri ka dondonandiyaŋo ta.
34But they set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
34 Amma i na ngey fanta harey daŋ windo kaŋ i g'a ce d'ay maa ra, zama ngey m'a ziibandi se.
35They built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through fire to Molech; which I didn’t command them, neither did it come into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
35 I na sududu nanguyaŋ cina Baal se kaŋ yaŋ go Hinnom izo gooro ra, zama i ma ngey ize arey da ize wayey daŋ danji ra Molek se, haŋ kaŋ ay mana i lordi nd'a. A mana furo ay laakalo ra mo hal i ma fanta goyey wo te, kaŋ ga naŋ Yahuda ma zunubi te.
36Now therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning this city, about which you say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:
36 Sohõ binde, yaa no Rabbi, Israyla Irikoyo ci gallo wo boŋ, gallo kaŋ araŋ n'a ciine te ka ne: «I n'a daŋ Babila bonkoono kambe ra takuba nda haray da balaaw sabbay se.»
37Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:
37 A go, ay g'i margu i ma fun laabey kulu ra naŋ kaŋ ay n'i gaaray ka kond'ey ay futa, d'ay futay korna, d'ay dukuri beero ra. Ay ga ye ka kand'ey nango wo ra, ay ga naŋ i ma baani goray te.
38and they shall be my people, and I will be their God:
38 I ga ciya ay jama, ay mo ga ciya i Irikoyo.
39and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and of their children after them:
39 Bine folloŋ da fondo folloŋ no ay g'i no, zama i ma humburu ay duumi. A ga boori i bumbey se, d'i izey mo se i banda.
40and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.
40 Ay ga alkawli kaŋ ga duumi sambu in d'ey game ra mo ka ne: Ay si i gomni teeyaŋ naŋ hal abada. Ay ga naŋ i m'ay beerandi ngey biney ra, zama i ma si ye ka fay da ay.
41Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.
41 Daahir, ay ga farhã d'ey, hal ay ma gomni te i se, ay m'i tilam laabo wo ra kaŋ sinda sikka, ay m'a te d'ay bine kulu nd'ay fundo kulu mo.
42For thus says Yahweh: Like as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so will I bring on them all the good that I have promised them.
42 Zama yaa no Rabbi ci: Sanda mate kaŋ cine ay na masiiba beeri wo kulu candi ka kande jama wo gaa, yaadin cine mo no ay ga gomni kulu kaŋ ay n'a alkawlo sambu i se candi ka kande.
43Fields shall be bought in this land, about which you say, It is desolate, without man or animal; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
43 Laabo wo ra mo, kaŋ araŋ goono ga ne a se: «Kurmu no, boro wala alman si no, i n'a daŋ Kaldancey kambe ra mo,» -- a ra no i ga ye ka fariyaŋ day.
44Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South: for I will cause their captivity to return, says Yahweh.
Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
