1The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah, who were carried away captive to Babylon.
1 Sanni fun Rabbi do ka kaa Irimiya do koyne. Batukoy koyo Nebuzaradan na Irimiya gar hawante nda sisiri, borey kaŋ yaŋ i di Urusalima da Yahuda kulu ra banda, kaŋ yaŋ i goono ga kond'ey Babila k'i daŋ tamtaray. Waato kaŋ Nebuzaradan di a, a n'a taŋ a ma fun Rama.
2The captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said to him, Yahweh your God pronounced this evil on this place;
2 Batukoy koyo na Irimiya sambu ka ne a se: «Rabbi ni Irikoyo no ka masiiba woone ci nango wo boŋ.
3and Yahweh has brought it, and done according as he spoke: because you have sinned against Yahweh, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing has come on you.
Araŋ wangu ka maa a sanno mo, woodin se no hayo wo kaŋ araŋ boŋ.
4Now, behold, I release you this day from the chains which are on your hand. If it seems good to you to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will take care of you; but if it seems bad to you to come with me into Babylon, don’t: behold, all the land is before you; where it seems good and right to you to go, there go.
4 Sohõ binde a go, hunkuna ay go ga sisirey kaŋ go ni kambey gaa din feeri ni se.
5Now while he had not yet gone back, Go back then, he said, to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go. So the captain of the guard gave him food and a present, and let him go.
5 Za kaŋ Irimiya mana tu a se, Nebuzaradan ye ka ne koyne: «Wala da ni ga ba, kaa day ka ye Gedaliya Ahikam izo, Safan ize do, nga kaŋ Babila bonkoono daŋ a ma Yahuda galley may. Ni ma goro a banda jama ra. Wala mo ni ma koy nangu kulu kaŋ koyyaŋ ga saba ni diyaŋ gaa.» Batukoy koyo na Irimiya no hindoonay da gomni fo, gaa no a n'a sallama.
6Then went Jeremiah to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and lived with him among the people who were left in the land.
6 Irimiya mo koy Gedaliya Ahikam izo do, kaŋ go Mizpa. A goro a banda, nga nda borey kaŋ yaŋ cindi laabo ra.
7Now when all the captains of the forces who were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed to him men, and women, and children, and of the poorest of the land, of those who were not carried away captive to Babylon;
7 Wonkoyey da ngey soojey kaŋ yaŋ go saajo ra maa baaru kaŋ Babila bonkoono na Gedaliya Ahikam izo daŋ a ma ciya Yahuda laabo mayko. I maa baaru mo kaŋ a na laabo alfukaaru, alborey da wayborey da zankey, kaŋ yaŋ i mana konda Babila ka daŋ tamtaray, daŋ Gedaliya kambe ra.
8then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.
8 Waato kaŋ soojey maa woodin, i kaa Gedaliya do Mizpa. Ngey neeya: Isumeyla Netaniya izo, da Yohanan da Yonatan kaŋ ga ti Kareya boroyaŋ, da Seraya Tanhumet izo, da Efay izey Netofa boroyaŋ, da Yezaniya Maaka bora izo, ngey nda ngey borey.
9Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore to them and to their men, saying, Don’t be afraid to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
10As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who shall come to us: but you, gather wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.
10 Ay bumbo sanni mo, wa guna, ay ga goro Mizpa ra. Ay ma kay ka ciya araŋ se sabbu Kaldancey do, kaŋ yaŋ ga kaa iri do. Araŋ m'i jisi araŋ foobey ra ka goro araŋ galley kaŋ yaŋ araŋ ŋwa din ra.»
11Likewise when all the Jews who were in Moab, and among the children of Ammon, and in Edom, and who were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan;
11 Yaadin cine no, waato kaŋ Yahudancey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go Mowab ra, da Amon izey kwaarey ra, da Edom ra, da laabey kulu ra maa baaru kaŋ Babila bonkoono na Yahudance fooyaŋ cindi, hala mo a na Gedaliya Ahikam izo, Safan ize daŋ i se mayko,
12then all the Jews returned out of all places where they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, to Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.
12 kala Yahudancey kulu ye ka kaa ka fun nangey kulu kaŋ yaŋ i n'i gaaray ka kond'ey. I kaa Gedaliya do Yahuda laabo ra Mizpa ra. I na duvan da heemar nafa boobo margu-margu.
13Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,
13 Yohanan Kareya izo da wonkoyey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go saajo ra kaa Gedaliya do Mizpa ra.
14and said to him, Do you know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam didn’t believe them.
14 I ne a se: «D'a ta day, ni du ka bay kaŋ Amon izey bonkoono Baalis na Isumeyla Netaniya izo donton zama a ma ni wi, wala?» Amma Gedaliya Ahikam izo man'i cimandi.
15Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Please let me go, and I will kill Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it: why should he take your life, that all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish?
15 Yonatan Kareya izo binde salaŋ da Gedaliya tuguyaŋ ra Mizpa ra ka ne a se: «Ay ga ni ŋwaaray, kala ni ma naŋ ya koy ka Isumeyla Netaniya izo wi, boro kulu si bay a gaa mo. Ifo se no _iri ga naŋ|_ a ma ni wi, hala Yahudancey kulu kaŋ yaŋ margu ni do ma say koyne, Yahudancey kaŋ cindi yaŋ din mo ma halaci?»
16But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah, You shall not do this thing; for you speak falsely of Ishmael.
