1Again he began to teach by the seaside. A great multitude was gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat in the sea, and sat down. All the multitude were on the land by the sea.
1 Yesu ye ka sintin ka dondonandi teeko me gaa. Borey marga bambata margu a do kal a to naŋ kaŋ a furo hi ra ka goro teeko boŋ. Borey mo go jabo boŋ teeko me gaa.
2He taught them many things in parables, and told them in his teaching,
2 A n'i dondonandi hari boobo nda misayaŋ. A dondonandiyaŋo ra a go ga ne i se:
3 “Listen! Behold, the farmer went out to sow,
3 «Wa maa: dum'izey sayko fo fatta ka koy dum'izey sayyaŋ.
4 and it happened, as he sowed, some seed fell by the road, and the birds TR adds “of the air” came and devoured it.
4 Waato kaŋ a go dum'izey sayyaŋo gaa, gurayze fooyaŋ kaŋ fonda jarga, curey mo kaa k'i ŋwa.
5 Others fell on the rocky ground, where it had little soil, and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil.
5 Afooyaŋ mo kaŋ tondi batama boŋ, nangu kaŋ sinda laabu boobo. Sahãadin-sahãadin i fun, zama laabo si baa.
6 When the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
6 Waato kaŋ wayna fatta, wayna n'i kukure zama i sinda kaaji hanno, hal i koogu.
7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
7 Afooyaŋ kaŋ karjey ra. Karjey mo fun ka beeri k'i koote hal i mana hay.
8 Others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing. Some brought forth thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times as much.”
8 Afooyaŋ mo kaŋ laabu hanno ra. I beeri gumo ka tonton hal i hay, afooyaŋ no waranza, afooyaŋ waydu, afooyaŋ mo zangu.»
9He said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”
9 Yesu ne: «Boro kaŋ gonda hanga kaŋ ga maa, a ma maa!»
10When he was alone, those who were around him with the twelve asked him about the parables.
10 Waato kaŋ a go nga hinne, a windanta borey da iway cindi hinka din n'a hã misey din.
11He said to them, “To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,

12 that ‘seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.’” Isaiah 6:9-10
12 Zama ‹gunayaŋ ra i ma di, amma i ma si fayanka. Maayaŋ ra mo i ma maa, amma i ma si faham. Da manti yaadin no i ga bare _ay do|_ hal i ma du yaafayaŋ.› »
13He said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How will you understand all of the parables?
13 Yesu ne i se: «Araŋ mana faham da misa wo no? Mate no araŋ ga te ka faham da misey kulu?
14 The farmer sows the word.
14 To! Dum'izey saykwa goono ga Irikoy Sanno say.
15 The ones by the road are the ones where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them.
15 Woone yaŋ ga ti fonda jarga waney: nangu kulu kaŋ i ga sanno say-say, hal i maa mo, sahãadin-sahãadin Saytan* ga kaa ka sanno kaŋ i say i ra din kom.
16 These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy.
16 Yaadin mo no wo kaŋ yaŋ i say tondi batama ra neeya: ngey kaŋ yaŋ d'i maa sanno, sahãadin-sahãadin i g'a ta da farhã,
17 They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble.
17 amma i sinda kaaji ngey ra. I si gay mo, amma da taabi wala gurzugay tun sanno sabbay se, sahãadin-sahãadin i ga mulay.
18 Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word,
18 Cindey kaŋ i say karjey ra, ngey ga ti borey kaŋ ga maa sanno,
19 and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
19 amma zamana wo karhã, da arzaka halliyaŋ, da canse waani-waani kaŋ ga furo ga sanno koote, hal a ma jaŋ ka te albarka.
20 Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.”
20 Wo kaŋ yaŋ i say laabu hanno ra mo neeya: ngey kaŋ go ga maa sanno k'a ta. I ga izey hay waranza, da waydu da zangu.»
21He said to them, “Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket literally, a modion, a dry measuring basket containing about a peck (about 9 litres) or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?
21 A ne i se: «I ga fitilla diyandi k'a daabu nda cilla, wala i m'a daŋ daari cire? Manti i g'a dake taablo boŋ no?
22 For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light.
22 Zama hay kulu si no tugante kaŋ i s'a bangandi. Hay kulu mo si kaŋ go gundu ra kaŋ i s'a kaa taray kwaaray.
23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.”
23 Boro kulu kaŋ gonda hanga kaŋ ga maa, a ma maa!»
24He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear.
24 A ne i se mo: «Araŋ ma haggoy da haŋ kaŋ araŋ goono ga maa! Zama neesijo kaŋ araŋ ga neesi nd'a din, nga no i ga neesi nd'a araŋ se, i ga tonton a gaa araŋ se zaati.
25 For whoever has, to him will more be given, and he who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.”
25 Zama boro kaŋ gonda, nga se no i ga no. Boro kaŋ sinda mo, baa haŋ kaŋ go a se din, i g'a ta a gaa.»
26He said, “The Kingdom of God is as if a man should cast seed on the earth,

27 and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he doesn’t know how.

28 For the earth bears fruit: first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.

29 But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
29 Waato kaŋ izey nin mo, sahãadin-sahãadin a ga zaama daŋ ka wi, zama heemaro to.»
30He said, “How will we liken the Kingdom of God? Or with what parable will we illustrate it?
30 A ne mo: «Mate no iri ga Irikoy koytara himandi nd'a? Misa fo dumi no iri g'a deede nd'a?
31 It’s like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, though it is less than all the seeds that are on the earth,
31 A ga hima sanda mutard* ize cine no. Nga mo waato kaŋ i g'a duma laabo ra, baa kaŋ a ga kayna ka bisa gurayzey kulu kaŋ go ndunnya ra,
32 yet when it is sown, grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow.”
32 kulu nda yaadin, d'i n'a duma a ga beeri ka bisa tuuri ize kulu. A ga kambe bambata yaŋ te hala beene curey ga hin ka zumbu a biyo ra.»
33With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it.
33 Woodin dumi boobo boŋ no Yesu salaŋ i se da misayaŋ, i maayaŋey hina me boŋ.
34Without a parable he didn’t speak to them; but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.
34 Amma da manti nda misa, a mana salaŋ i se. Amma d'i ye labu gaa, a ga hay kulu feeri nga talibey se.
35On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side.”
35 Zaaro din ra, waato kaŋ wiciri kambo to, Yesu ne nga talibey se: «Iri ma teeko daŋandi ka koy ya-haray kambo gaa.»
36Leaving the multitude, they took him with them, even as he was, in the boat. Other small boats were also with him.
36 I na borey marga naŋ. Talibey mo n'a sambu ka kond'a ngey banda hiyo ra. Hi fooyaŋ mo go i banda koyne.
37A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled.
37 Hari haw bambata fo tun ka hari bondayey kar kala hiyo ra, hala hiyo goono ga to mo.
38He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke him up, and told him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?”
38 Yesu bumbo go hiyo ra banda, a goono ga kani furkange boŋ. I n'a tunandi ka ne: «Alfa, ni baa si nda iri ma halaci no?»
39He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
39 A tun ka deeni hawo gaa, ka ne teeko se: «Dangay ka kani!» Hawo kay, kal i kulu dangay ka kay, tak!
40He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?”
40 A ne i se: «Ifo se no araŋ goono ga humburu? Mate no kaŋ araŋ sinda cimbeeri*?»
41They were greatly afraid, and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
41 Ngey mo humburu gumo. I ne ngey nda cara se: «May no boro wo, hala baa haw nda teeko goono ga maa a sanney se?»
