1Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh, my soul.
1 Alleluya! Ya ay fundo, ma Rabbi sifa!
2While I live, I will praise Yahweh. I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.
2 Ay ga Rabbi sifa ay fundo me muudu, Ay ma sifayaŋ baytu te ay Irikoyo se kal ay fundo me.
3Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help.
3 Wa si de mayraykoyey gaa, Adam-izey yaŋ no kaŋ sinda faaba hina.
4His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish.
4 A fundo ga dira, nga mo ma ye ka ciya nga laabu zeena, Zaari woodin ra no a saawarey ga halaci.
5Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God:
5 Bine kaanikoy no bora kaŋ gonda Yakuba Irikoyo a ma ciya a se Gaako, Bora din beeja go Rabbi nga Irikoyo gaa.
6who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;
6 Nga no ka beene nda ganda, Da teeku nda haŋ kaŋ go i ra kulu te. Nga wo naanaykoy no hal abada.
7who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. Yahweh frees the prisoners.
7 Nga kaŋ ga cimi ciiti kayandi borey kaŋ yaŋ go kankami ra din se, Nga no ga ŋwaari no harayzey mo se. Rabbi ga hawantey feeri ka taŋ.
8Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.
8 Rabbi ga danawey moy fiti, Rabbi ga borey kaŋ yaŋ gungum kayandi, Rabbi ga ba adilantey.
9Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
9 Rabbi ga haggoy da yawey, A ga alatuumey da wayborey kaŋ kurnye bu yaŋ gaakasinay, Amma a ga boro laaley fondey siirandi.
10Yahweh will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise Yah!
