55

1Listen to my prayer, God. Don’t hide yourself from my supplication.
1 Doonkoy jine bora se. I m'a doon da moolo beeri karyaŋ. Dawda baytu fo no.
2Attend to me, and answer me. I am restless in my complaint, and moan,
2 Ya Irikoy, ma hanga jeeri ay adduwa se, Ma si tugu ay ŋwaara se.
3Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked. For they bring suffering on me. In anger they hold a grudge against me.
3 Ma laakal ye ay gaa ka tu ay se mo. Ay bina go ga koy-da-ye te ay dooro ra. Ay go ga duray
4My heart is severely pained within me. The terrors of death have fallen on me.
4 ibare jinde sabbay se, da boro laaley kankamo sabbay se, Zama i go ga laala taŋ ay boŋ, Futay mo no i go g'ay kuta nd'a.
5Fearfulness and trembling have come on me. Horror has overwhelmed me.
5 Ay bina go ga maa foyrayyaŋ gumo ay ra, Buuyaŋ humburkumay beerey kaa ay gaa.
6I said, “Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then I would fly away, and be at rest.
6 Humburkumay da gaa-jijiriyaŋ kaa ay gaa jirsi boŋ, Zici dumbay n'ay yoole mo.
7Behold, then I would wander far off. I would lodge in the wilderness.” Selah.
7 Hal ay ne: «Hala day ay gonda koloŋay fata cine, Doŋ kala ay ma deesi, ya koy nangu fo ka fulanzam.
8“I would hurry to a shelter from the stormy wind and storm.”
8 Doŋ kala ya koy nangu mooro fo ka zumbu saajo ra. (Wa dangay)
9Confuse them, Lord, and confound their language, for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
9 Ay ma cahã ka koy ay tuguyaŋ nango do, ay ma koru hari nda haw bambata se.»
10Day and night they prowl around on its walls. Malice and abuse are also within her.
10 Ya ay Koyo, m'i halaci, m'i deeney fay, Zama ay di toonye nda kusuuma gallo ra.
11Destructive forces are within her. Threats and lies don’t depart from her streets.
11 Cin da zaari i goono g'a casu ka bar-bare a birni cinaro boŋ. Taabi nda izefututaray go a bindo ra.
12For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him.
12 Halaciyaŋ go no a bindo ra, Kankami nda gulinci si fay d'a batamey.
13But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend.
13 Zama manti ibare no k'ay wow bo. Da yaadin no, doŋ ay ga hin suuru. Manti mo konnako no ka nga boŋ beerandi ay gaa, Doŋ ay ga tugu a se.
14We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God’s house with company.
14 Amma nin no, boro ay wadde, Ay coro no, ay naanay bora.
15Let death come suddenly on them. Let them go down alive into Sheol . For wickedness is in their dwelling, in their midst.
15 Waato iri ga saaware kaano te care se, Irikoy windo ra mo iri ga bar-bare jama banda.
16As for me, I will call on God. Yahweh will save me.
16 Buuyaŋ ma kaa i gaa jirsi boŋ, I ma koy Alaahara nda ngey fundey, Zama laala go i nangorayey ra d'i bindo ra mo.
17Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.
17 Ay wo, Irikoy gaa no ay ga hẽ, Rabbi g'ay faaba mo.
18He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, although there are many who oppose me.
18 Wiciri kambu nda susuba nda zaari bindi, Ay ga guunu-guunu, ay ma duray. A ga maa ay jinda mo.
19God, who is enthroned forever, will hear, and answer them. Selah. They never change, who don’t fear God.
19 Laakal kanay no a g'ay fundo fansa nd'a wongu kaŋ tun ay se ra. Zama borey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga gaaba nd'ay ga baa.
20He raises his hands against his friends. He has violated his covenant.
20 Irikoy kaŋ za doŋ tondoyaŋ koy no ga maa, (Wa dangay) A g'i taabandi mo, ngey kaŋ si barmay, Kaŋ yaŋ si humburu Irikoy.
21His mouth was smooth as butter, but his heart was war. His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.
21 Boro laalo na nga kamba salle ka gaaba nda borey kaŋ yaŋ gonda amaana nd'a, A na nga sappa tunandi mo.
22Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.
22 A meyo ga yuttu nda haw ji, amma a bina ra, kala wongu. A sanney bisa ji baanyaŋ, Kulu nda yaadin takuba foobanteyaŋ no.
23But you, God, will bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in you.
23 Ma ni tiŋa gusam Rabbi boŋ, nga mo ga ni gaay. Abada, a si yadda adilantey ma zinji.
24 Amma borey kaŋ gonda himma boro wiyaŋ gaa, I ga gulinci mo, Nin, ya Irikoy, ni g'i zeeri halaciyaŋ guuso ra. I si to ngey jirbey farsi bindo bo. Day ay wo, ay ga de ni gaa.
