2 Thessalonians

2

1Now, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to him, we ask you
1 Sohõ, nya-izey, iri Rabbi Yesu Almasihu kaayaŋo ciine ra, da iri marguyaŋo a do, iri goono g'araŋ ŋwaaray
1Now we beseech you, brethren, touching the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him;
2not to be quickly shaken in your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, saying that the day of Christ had come.
2to the end that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is just at hand;
3Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the departure comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction,
3 Mate kulu kaŋ no, wa si naŋ boro kulu m'araŋ halli.
3let no man beguile you in any wise: for [it will not be,] except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
4he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God.
4 Nga no ga murte ka nga boŋ beerandi ka bisa hay kulu kaŋ se i ga ne irikoy, wala hay kulu kaŋ se i goono ga sombu, hal a ga goro Irikoy* fuwo ra, ka nga boŋ fe ka ne nga wo Irikoy no.
4he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God.
5Don’t you remember that, when I was still with you, I told you these things?
5 Araŋ si fongu kaŋ ay na hayey din ci araŋ se za waato kaŋ ay go araŋ do?
5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6Now you know what is restraining him, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season.
6 Sohõ mo araŋ ga bay haŋ kaŋ no goono g'a gaay, kaŋ ga naŋ a ma si bangay kala nga alwaato ra.
6And now ye know that which restraineth, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season.
7For the mystery of lawlessness already works. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way.
7 Zama asariya taamuyaŋ gundo goono ga goy baa sohõ. Kala day nga kaŋ goono g'a gaay sohõ g'a te hal i ma nga kaa fonda gaa.
7For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only [there is] one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way.
8Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and destroy by the manifestation of his coming;
8 Waato din gaa no asariya taamukwa ga bangay. Rabbi g'a zeeri nda nga me funsuyaŋo k'a halaci mo da nga kaayaŋo kaaro.
8And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming;
9even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
9[even he], whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
I goono ga halaci zama i wangu ka ba cimo hal i ma du faaba.
10and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie;
11And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:
12that they all might be judged who didn’t believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
12 Gaa no borey kulu kaŋ yaŋ mana cimo cimandi, amma i maa kaani goy laalo teeyaŋ ra, Irikoy m'i ciiti ka zeeri.
12that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth;
13But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14to which he called you through our Good News, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
14whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15So then, brothers, stand firm, and hold the traditions which you were taught by us, whether by word, or by letter.
15 Woodin sabbay se binde, nya-izey, araŋ ma kay, araŋ ma dondonandiyaŋey kaŋ iri n'araŋ dondonandi nd'a gaay, da me-da-me no wala nd'iri tira do waney.
15So then, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye were taught, whether by word, or by epistle of ours.
16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,
16 Iri Rabbi Yesu Almasihu bumbo d'iri Baabo Irikoy m'araŋ biney gaabandi k'araŋ sinji goy hanno nda sanni hanno kulu ra. Nga no ba iri k'iri no hal abada bine-gaabi nda beeje hanno gomni do.
16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,
17comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.
17comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
