1These are the inheritances which the children of Israel took in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed to them,

1And these are the inheritances which the children of Israel took in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed unto them,
2by the lot of their inheritance, as Yahweh commanded by Moses, for the nine tribes, and for the half-tribe.
2 kurne boŋ, danga mate kaŋ Rabbi lordi Musa kambe ra d'a, kunda yagga nda jara din se.
2by the lot of their inheritance, as Jehovah commanded by Moses, for the nine tribes, and for the half-tribe.
3For Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half-tribe beyond the Jordan; but to the Levites he gave no inheritance among them.
3 Zama Musa jin ka kunda hinka nda jara no ngey wane tubu, Urdun daaranta. Amma a mana Lawi kunda no tubu fo i ra.
3For Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half-tribe beyond the Jordan: but unto the Levites he gave no inheritance among them.
4For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: and they gave no portion to the Levites in the land, except cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their livestock and for their property.
4 Zama Yusufu izey kunda hinka no, Manasse da Ifraymu. Koyne, i mana Lawi kunda no baa fo laabo ra, kala day birniyaŋ kaŋ ra i ga goro, ngey nda ngey almaney kuray nangey d'i arzaka kulu se.
4For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: and they gave no portion unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for their cattle and for their substance.
5The children of Israel did as Yahweh commanded Moses, and they divided the land.
5 Danga mate kaŋ Rabbi na Musa lordi nd'a, yaadin cine no Israyla izey mo goy d'a. I na laabo fay-fay.
5As Jehovah commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did; and they divided the land.
6Then the children of Judah drew near to Joshua in Gilgal. Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, “You know the thing that Yahweh spoke to Moses the man of God concerning me and concerning you in Kadesh Barnea.
6 Gaa no Yahuda izey kaa Yasuwa do k'a gar Jilgal. Yefunna izo Kaleb Keni kuray bora binde ne: «Ni bay haŋ kaŋ Rabbi ci Irikoy bora Musa se ay boŋ ni jine, Kades-Barneya ra.
6Then the children of Judah drew nigh unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that Jehovah spake unto Moses the man of God concerning me and concerning thee in Kadesh-barnea.
7I was forty years old when Moses the servant of Yahweh sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land. I brought him word again as it was in my heart.
7 Ay gonda jiiri waytaaci hano kaŋ hane Rabbi tamo Musa n'ay donton ya tun Kades-Barneya ka koy ka laabo fintal. Ay ye ka kaa a do mo da sanno, mate kaŋ a go ay bina ra.
7Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of Jehovah sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in my heart.
8Nevertheless, my brothers who went up with me made the heart of the people melt; but I wholly followed Yahweh my God.
8 Kulu nda yaadin ay nya-izey kaŋ yaŋ in d'ey ziji ka koy, i _sanno|_ naŋ jama biney sinda gaabi. Amma ay wo, ay na Rabbi ay Irikoyo gana da bine folloŋ.
8Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt; but I wholly followed Jehovah my God.
9Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where you walked shall be an inheritance to you and to your children forever, because you have wholly followed Yahweh my God.’
9And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy foot hath trodden shall be an inheritance to thee and to thy children for ever, because thou hast wholly followed Jehovah my God.
10“Now, behold, Yahweh has kept me alive, as he spoke, these forty-five years, from the time that Yahweh spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness. Now, behold, I am eighty-five years old, today.
10 Sohõ mo, a go, Rabbi n'ay hallasi kala jiiri waytaaci cindi gu wo, danga mate kaŋ a ci din, za hano kaŋ hane Rabbi na sanno din ci Musa se, za Israyla goono ga windi-windi saajo ra. Sohõ mo ay jiirey wahakku cindi gu no.
10And now, behold, Jehovah hath kept me alive, as he spake, these forty and five years, from the time that Jehovah spake this word unto Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.
11As yet I am as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now for war, to go out and to come in.
11 Hala ka kaa sohõ mo ay gaahamo gonda gaabi. Danga hano din hane, yaadin cine no ay bara nd'a baa sohõ, wongu se, wala fattayaŋ da furoyaŋ se.
11As yet I am as strong this day as I as in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, and to go out and to come in.
12Now therefore give me this hill country, of which Yahweh spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and great and fortified cities. It may be that Yahweh will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as Yahweh spoke.”
12 Kala ni m'ay no tondo wo, kaŋ Rabbi n'a sanni te alwaato din, zama zaaro din ni maa Anak borey kaŋ go nango din ra baaru. Birney mo cinari-kuuku-koyyaŋ no, kaŋ ga beeri mo. Hambara Rabbi g'ay gaa ay m'i gaaray mo, danga mate kaŋ cine Rabbi ci.»
12Now therefore give me this hill-country, whereof Jehovah spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakim were there, and cities great and fortified: it may be that Jehovah will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as Jehovah spake.
13Joshua blessed him; and he gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.
13 Kala Yasuwa n'a albarkandi, a na Hebron no Yefunna izo Kaleb se, a m'a tubu.
13And Joshua blessed him; and he gave Hebron unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.
14Therefore Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day; because he wholly followed Yahweh, the God of Israel.
14 Hebron binde ciya Yefunna ize Kaleb, Keni kuray bora se tubu hari hala hunkuna, zama a na Rabbi Israyla Irikoyo gana da bine folloŋ.
14Therefore Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite unto this day; because that he wholly followed Jehovah, the God of Israel.
15Now the name of Hebron before was Kiriath Arba, after the greatest man among the Anakim. The land had rest from war.
15 Amma waato Hebron maa ga ti Ciriyat-Arba. Arba wo no ga ti Anak borey ra boro bambata. Laabo mo du fulanzamay wongu gaa.
15Now the name of Hebron beforetime was Kiriath-arba; [which Arba was] the greatest man among the Anakim. And the land had rest from war.
