1The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.
1 Yusufu izey baa kaŋ i du kurne boŋ mo, a tun za Urdun isa no, Yeriko haray a wayna funay haray, saaji no. Za Yeriko gaa a ziji tondey laabo ra ka koy Betel.
1And the lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to Beth-el;
2It went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;
2 A fun Betel gaa ka koy Luz, ka bisa ka koy Arciyancey hirro boŋ ka koy Atarot.
2and it went out from Beth-el to Luz, and passed along unto the border of the Archites to Ataroth;
3and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, even to Gezer; and ended at the sea.
3 A zulli noodin wayna kaŋay ka koy Yafetancey hirro gaa ka koy hala ganda Bayt-Horon hirro gaa, ka koy hala Gezer. Naŋ kaŋ a fun ga ti Teeku Beero me gaa.
3and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, unto the border of Beth-horon the nether, even unto Gezer; and the goings out thereof were at the sea.
4The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
4 Kala Yusufu izey, ngey Manasse da Ifraymu, i na ngey tubo ta.
4And the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
5This was the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper.
5 Ifraymu izey hirro, i almayaaley boŋ, nga neeya: I hirro, danga i tubo me wayna funay haray, nga ga ti Atarot-Addar, ka koy hala Bayt-Horon se beene.
5And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was [thus]: the border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;
6The border went out westward at Michmethath on the north. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.
6 Hirro ye ka fatta wayna kaŋay haray Mikmetat tanjay azawa kambe, hirro ye ka windi wayna funay haray hala Taanat-Silo. A n'a casu wayna funay haray ka to Yanowa.
6and the border went out westward at Michmethath on the north; and the border turned about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah;
7It went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naarah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
7 A ye ka zulli koyne ka fun Yanowa ka koy Atarot, ka koy Naarat. Noodin a kubanda Yeriko, a fun Urdun haray.
7and it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached unto Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
8From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;
8 Za Tappuwa gaa, hirro gana wayna kaŋay kal a koy Kana, kaŋ nga mo teeko gaa no a fun. Nga no ga ti Ifraymu izey tubo i almayaaley boŋ,
8From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;
9together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
9 ka margu nda birney kaŋ yaŋ i fay waani Ifraymu ize se, Manasse ize tubo bindo ra; birney nda ngey kawyey kulu nooya.

10They didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.
10 I mana Kanaanancey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga goro Gezer ra gaaray, amma Kanaanancey goono ga goro Ifraymu bindo ra hala hunkuna, day tamyaŋ no kaŋ ga doole goy te.
10And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and are become servants to do taskwork.
