4

1The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, when Ehud was dead.
1 Amma Israyla izey ye ka goy laalo te koyne Rabbi diyaŋ gaa, Ehud buuyaŋo banda.
1And the children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, when Ehud was dead.
2Yahweh sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
2 Rabbi mo n'i neera Kanaana bonkoono Yaban kaŋ ga may Hazor ra se. A wongu marga jine bora ga ti Sisera. A goono ga goro mo Haroset, noodin dumi fo do.
2And Jehovah sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, who dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
3The children of Israel cried to Yahweh: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
3 Kala Israyla izey hẽ Rabbi gaa, zama bonkoono din gonda wongu guuru torko zangu yagga. Jiiri waranka timmante no a na Israyla izey kaynandi gumo.
3And the children of Israel cried unto Jehovah: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
4Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time.

4Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time.

6She sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh Naphtali, and said to him, “Hasn’t Yahweh, the God of Israel, commanded, ‘Go and draw to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
6 Waybora binde donton ka Barak, Abinowam izo ce, kaŋ go Kedes-Naftali. Waybora ne a se: «Rabbi, Israyla Irikoyo lordi ka ne: ‹Koy ka candi Tabor tondo do haray. Ma boro zambar way sambu Naftali izey da Zabluna izey ra.
6And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh-naphtali, and said unto him, Hath not Jehovah, the God of Israel, commanded, [saying], Go and draw unto mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
7I will draw to you, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand.’”
7 Ay mo ga Sisera candi ka kande ni do, nga kaŋ ci Yaban wongu bonkoono, a ma kaa Cison gooro do, nga nda nga torkey da nga kunda. Ay g'a daŋ ni kambe ra mo.› »
7And I will draw unto thee, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thy hand.
8Barak said to her, “If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go.”
8 Barak mo ne waybora se: «Da ni ga koy ay banda, ay ga koy; amma da ni si koy ay banda, kulu ay si koy.»
8And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go; but if thou wilt not go with me, I will not go.
9She said, “I will surely go with you: nevertheless, the journey that you take shall not be for your honor; for Yahweh will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
9 Waybora mo ne: «Haciika, ay ga koy ni banda, amma diraw woone kaŋ ni ga ba ka te, a darza manti ni wane no, zama Rabbi ga Sisera neera ka daŋ wayboro fo kambe ra.» Debora binde tun ka koy Barak banda hala Kedes.
9And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding, the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honor; for Jehovah will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
10Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh; and there went up ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
10 Barak mo na Naftali da Zabluna ce i ma margu Kedes. Kala boro zambar way n'a gana. Debora mo kaaru ka koy a banda.
10And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh; and there went up ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
11Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the children of Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.
11 Amma Heber, Keni boro, nga wo jin ka nga boŋ fay waani ka fun Keni borey gaa, danga Hobab, Musa anzura izey. A na nga kuuru-fuwo sinji hala Zaanannim shen* tuuro jarga, kaŋ go Kedes jarga.
11Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the children of Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.
12They told Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to Mount Tabor.
12 I ci Sisera se ka ne: «Abinowam izo Barak kaaru ka koy Tabor tondo do haray.»
12And they told Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor.
13Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles, to the river Kishon.
13 Sisera binde na nga wongu torkey kulu margu, danga guuru torko zangu yagga cine no, da borey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go a banda, za Haroset dumi cindey wano gaa kal a koy hala Cison isa gaa.
13And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles, unto the river Kishon.
14Deborah said to Barak, “Go; for this is the day in which Yahweh has delivered Sisera into your hand. Hasn’t Yahweh gone out before you?” So Barak went down from Mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
14 Debora ne Barak se: «Tun! zama zaari woone ga ti zaaro kaŋ Rabbi na Sisera daŋ ni kamba ra. Manti Rabbi jin ka fatta ka koy ni jine?» Woodin se no Barak mo zumbu Tabor tondo boŋ da boro zambar wayo kaŋ go a banda.
14And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which Jehovah hath delivered Sisera into thy hand; is not Jehovah gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
15Yahweh confused Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
15 Rabbi mo na Sisera da nga torkey da kunda wongu marga kulu say da takuba Barak jine. Sisera mo zumbu nga torka boŋ ka zuru ce gaa.
15And Jehovah discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
16But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the army, to Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not a man left.
16 Amma Barak na torkey gana da wongu marga ka koy to hala Haroset, dumi cindey wano ra. Sisera wongu marga kulu, takuba n'a zeeri. Baa boro folloŋ mana du ka yana.
16But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not a man left.
17However Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
17 Amma Sisera wo, ce gaa no a di ka zuru kal a koy Heber, Keni bora wande Yayel kuuru-fuwo do. Zama Hazor bonkoono Yabin da Keni bora Heber windo, amaana go i game ra.
17Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
18Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, “Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; don’t be afraid.” He came in to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.
18 Yayel binde tun nga ma Sisera kubay. Yayel ne Sisera se: «Ya ay koyo, kamba ka kaa neewo. Ma gana ka kaa ay do, ma si humburu.» Sisera binde gana noodin, a furo Yayel do kuuru-fuwo ra. Yayel na kunta daŋ ka Sisera daabu.

19He said to her, “Please give me a little water to drink; for I am thirsty.” She opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
19 A ne Yayel se: «Ay ga ni ŋwaaray, m'ay no hari kayna ay ma haŋ, zama ay goono ga maa jaw.» Kala Yayel na wa mooro humbur me feeri ka dooru ka no Sisera se. A haŋ, ka ye ka daabu.
19And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
20He said to her, “Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man comes and inquires of you, and says, ‘Is there any man here?’ that you shall say, ‘No.’”
20 Sisera ne a se: «Ma kay kuuru-fuwo me gaa. Da alboro fo kaa ka ni hã mo, ka ne: ‹D'a ta day, boro fo go ne?› ni ma ne: ‹Abada.› »
20And he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and inquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.
21Then Jael Heber’s wife took a tent peg, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground; for he was in a deep sleep; so he swooned and died.
21 Kala Heber wando Yayel na kuuru-fu lolo fo da ndarka sambu nga kambe ra, ka koy moso-moso. A na lola daŋ k'a kar kal a koy ganda Sisera boŋo ra, zama jirbi tiŋo no k'a sambu. Sisera binde bu.
21Then Jael Heber's wife took a tent-pin, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground; for he was in a deep sleep; so he swooned and died.
22Behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, “Come, and I will show you the man whom you seek.” He came to her; and behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent peg was in his temples.
22 A go mo, saaya kaŋ cine Barak goono ga Sisera ce gana, kala Yayel fatta k'a kubay. A ne Barak se: «Kaa, ya ni cabe bora kaŋ ni goono ga ceeci.» Barak binde kaa a do. Kala a di Sisera go ga kani buuko, kuuru fu lola go ga sinji boŋo ra.
22And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will show thee the man whom thou seekest. And he came unto her; and, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent-pin was in his temples.
