89

1I will sing of the loving kindness of Yahweh forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.
1 Ezra bora Etan baytu fo no.
1Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the lovingkindness of Jehovah for ever: With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2I indeed declare, “Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them.”
2 Ay ga Rabbi baakasinay suujey baytu hal abada. Ay meyo no ay ga ni naanayo baaru seeda nd'a zamaney kulu se.
2For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever; Thy faithfulness wilt thou establish in the very heavens.
3“I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant,
3 Zama ay ne: «Baakasinay suuji ga tonton hal abada, Ni ga ni naanayo sinji hala beeney ra.»
3I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant:
4‘I will establish your seed forever, and build up your throne to all generations.’” Selah.
4Thy seed will I establish for ever, And build up thy throne to all generations. Selah
5The heavens will praise your wonders, Yahweh; your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
5And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Jehovah; Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
6For who in the skies can be compared to Yahweh? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like Yahweh,
6For who in the skies can be compared unto Jehovah? Who among the sons of the mighty is like unto Jehovah,
7a very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, to be feared above all those who are around him?
7 Zama may no ka bara beene kaŋ i ga deedandi Rabbi gaa? Hinkoyey izey ra, may no ga hima Rabbi?
7A God very terrible in the council of the holy ones, And to be feared above all them that are round about him?
8Yahweh, God of Armies, who is a mighty one, like you? Yah, your faithfulness is around you.
8 Irikoy ya humburkumay hari no hanantey faada ra, Dambarandiyankoy mo no ka bisa borey kulu kaŋ goono g'a windi.
8O Jehovah God of hosts, Who is a mighty one, like unto thee, O Jehovah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.
9You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.
9Thou rulest the pride of the sea: When the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
10You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
10 Ni ga teeko boŋbeera dabari, Waati kaŋ bonday beerey ga tun ka ciciri, Ni ga i kanandi no.
10Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; Thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.
11The heavens are yours. The earth also is yours; the world and its fullness. You have founded them.
11 Ni bumbo no ka Rahab ceeri-ceeri, Sanda nga kaŋ i wi cine.
11The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: The world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12The north and the south, you have created them. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name.
12The north and the south, thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon rejoice in thy name.
13You have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted.
13Thou hast a mighty arm; Strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before your face.
14 Ni gonda kambe gaabikooni, Ni kambe jasa ya gaabikooni no, Ni kambe ŋwaaro mo beeraykoy no.
14Righteousness and justice are the foundation of thy throne: Lovingkindness and truth go before thy face.
15Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, Yahweh.
15 Adilitaray da cimi ciiti, ngey no ga ti ni karga tiksa. Baakasinay suuji nda cimi no go ga dira ni jine.
15Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: They walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.
16In your name they rejoice all day. In your righteousness, they are exalted.
16 Albarkante no dumo din kaŋ ga waani ni sifayaŋ, Ya Rabbi, i goono ga dira ni moyduma kaaro ra.
16In thy name do they rejoice all the day; And in thy righteousness are they exalted.
17For you are the glory of their strength. In your favor, our horn will be exalted.
17 I ga farhã ni maa ra zaari me-a-me, Ni adilitara ra mo no i du beeray.
17For thou art the glory of their strength; And in thy favor our horn shall be exalted.
18For our shield belongs to Yahweh; our king to the Holy One of Israel.
18 Zama nin no ga ti i gaabo darza, ni yaddayaŋo ra no ni g'iri hillo tunandi.
18For our shield belongeth unto Jehovah; And our king to the Holy One of Israel.
19Then you spoke in vision to your saints, and said, “I have bestowed strength on the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.
19 Zama iri korayo ya Rabbi wane no, Sanda iri Bonkoono, Israyla wane Hananyankoyo nooya.
19Then thou spakest in vision to thy saints, And saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,
20I have found David my servant; With my holy oil have I anointed him:
21with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him.
21 Ay du ay tamo Dawda, ay n'ay ji hananta tuusu a gaa.
21With whom my hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him.
22 A do no ay kamba ga tabbat, ay kamba g'a gaabandi.
22The enemy shall not exact from him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him.
23 Ibare s'a tilasandi a ma nooru nda hari bana, Laala izey mo s'a taabandi.
23And I will beat down his adversaries before him, And smite them that hate him.
24But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted.
24 Ay g'a yanjekaarey kar ka zeeri a jine, Ay ma borey kaŋ yaŋ ga konn'a mo kar.
24But my faithfulness and my lovingkindness shall be with him; And in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
25 Amma ay naanayo d'ay baakasinay suujo ga goro a banda, Ay maa ra mo no a hillo ga beeri.
25I will set his hand also on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.
26He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’
26 Ay g'a kambe dake teeko boŋ, A kambe ŋwaaro mo isey boŋ.
26He shall cry unto me, Thou art my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.
27I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
27 A g'ay ce ka ne: ‹Nin no ga ti ay Baaba, D'ay Irikoyo, d'ay faaba tondi daaro mo.›
27I also will make him [my] first-born, The highest of the kings of the earth.
28I will keep my loving kindness for him forevermore. My covenant will stand firm with him.
28 Ay mo g'a ciya ay hay-jina, Kaŋ gonda beeray ka bisa i kulu ndunnya bonkooney ra.
28My lovingkindness will I keep for him for evermore; And my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29I will also make his seed endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
29 Ay ga haggoy d'ay baakasinay suujo a do haray hal abada, Ay g'ay alkawlo mo tabbatandi a se.
29His seed also will I make to endure for ever, And his throne as the days of heaven.
30If his children forsake my law, and don’t walk in my ordinances;
30 Ay ga naŋ a banda ma duumi hal abada, A karga mo sanda beene jirbey cine.
30If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;
31if they break my statutes, and don’t keep my commandments;
31 D'a izey fay d'ay asariya, i mana ay ciitey gana mo,
31If they break my statutes, And keep not my commandments;
32then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
32 D'i n'ay hin sanney daaru, I mana ay lordey haggoy mo,
32Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.
33But I will not completely take my loving kindness from him, nor allow my faithfulness to fail.
33 Waati din gaa no ay ga kaa i lordi daaruyaŋo gaa da goobu, Ya kaa i taaley gaa mo da barzu.
33But my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, Nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered.
34My covenant will I not break, Nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35Once have I sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David.
35 Ay s'ay alkawlo feeri, Haŋ kaŋ fun ay me ra mo, ay s'a barmay.
35Once have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David:
36His seed will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me.
36His seed shall endure for ever, And his throne as the sun before me.
37It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah.
37 Nga ga ti: a banda ga tabbat hal abada, A karga mo sanda wayna cine no ay jine.
37It shall be established for ever as the moon, And [as] the faithful witness in the sky. Selah
38But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed.
38 A ga sinji sanda hando cine hal abada, Sanda seeda naanaykoy kaŋ go beene batama ra no.» (Wa dangay)
38But thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust.
39Thou hast abhorred the covenant of thy servant: Thou hast profaned his crown [by casting it] to the ground.
40You have broken down all his hedges. You have brought his strongholds to ruin.
40Thou hast broken down all his hedges; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
41All who pass by the way rob him. He has become a reproach to his neighbors.
41 Ni n'a birni cinarey kulu bagu-bagu, Ni n'a gallo ciya kurmu.
41All that pass by the way rob him: He is become a reproach to his neighbors.
42You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries. You have made all of his enemies rejoice.
42 Fonda ganakoy kulu go g'a ku, A ciya wowi hari nga gorokasiney se.
42Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries; Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43Yes, you turn back the edge of his sword, and haven’t supported him in battle.
43 Ni n'a yanjekaarey kambe ŋwaaro tunandi, Ni naŋ a ibarey kulu ma farhã.
43Yea, thou turnest back the edge of his sword, And hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44You have ended his splendor, and thrown his throne down to the ground.
44 Oho, ni n'a takuba me kaana bare, Ni man'a gaabandi wongu ra.
44Thou hast made his brightness to cease, And cast his throne down to the ground.
45You have shortened the days of his youth. You have covered him with shame. Selah.
45 Ni n'a darza wi, ni n'a koytaray karga catu ganda.
45The days of his youth hast thou shortened: Thou hast covered him with shame. Selah
46How long, Yahweh? Will you hide yourself forever? Will your wrath burn like fire?
46 Ni n'a zankataray jirbey dunguriyandi, Ni n'a daabu nda haawi. (Wa dangay)
46How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? [How long] shall thy wrath burn like fire?
47Remember how short my time is! For what vanity have you created all the children of men!
47 Ya Rabbi, kala waatifo? Ni ga soobay ka tugu no hal abada? Waatifo no ni futa kaŋ ga ŋwa sanda danji cine wo ga ban?
47Oh remember how short my time is: For what vanity hast thou created all the children of men!
48What man is he who shall live and not see death, who shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol ? Selah.
48What man is he that shall live and not see death, That shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah
49Lord, where are your former loving kindnesses, which you swore to David in your faithfulness?
49 Man bora kaŋ ga funa, a ma jaŋ ka di buuyaŋ? Boro kaŋ ga nga fundo faaba Alaahara kambe, A go no, wala? (Wa dangay)
49Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, Which thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?
50Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the mighty peoples,
50Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; How I do bear in my bosom [the reproach of] all the mighty peoples,
51With which your enemies have mocked, Yahweh, with which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one.
51 Ya ay Koyo, ma fongu wowey kaŋ ni tamey go ga haŋ, Mate kaŋ cine ay go ga dumi cindey kulu wowey jare ay ganda ra,
51Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Jehovah, Wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
52Blessed be Yahweh forevermore. Amen, and Amen. BOOK IV

52Blessed be Jehovah for evermore. Amen, and Amen. BOOK IV
