1An oracle. The word of Yahweh concerning Israel. Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:
1 Rabbi sanni bangando kaŋ kaa Israyla boŋ neeya: Yaa no Rabbi ci, nga kaŋ na beeney salle, a na ganda mo sinji. A goono ga boro biya* te a ra haray. A ne:
1The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. [Thus] saith Jehovah, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:
2“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Judah also will it be in the siege against Jerusalem.
2 Wa guna, ay ga naŋ Urusalima ma ciya haŋyaŋ hari kaŋ ga boro bugandi dumi kulu kaŋ goono g'a windi yaŋ din se. Yahuda mo ga nga wane taabo haŋ wongo kaŋ i ga te da Urusalima din ra.
2behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling unto all the peoples round about, and upon Judah also shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem.
3It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.
3 A ga ciya mo, zaaro din ra, ay ga naŋ Urusalima ma ciya tondi kaŋ sambuyaŋ ga tin dumi kulu se. Wo kulu kaŋ g'a sambu ga du marayyaŋ laalo. Ndunnya dumey kulu mo ga margu a gaa.
3And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it.
4In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.
4 Yaa no Rabbi ci: Han din hane, ay ga bari kulu kar da gartyaŋ, i afo kulu kaarukwa mo da follokomtaray. Amma ay ga laakal ye Yahuda dumo do haray, ay ga dumi cindey kulu bariyey kar da danawtaray. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
4In that day, saith Jehovah, I will smite every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.
5The chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Yahweh of Armies their God.’
5 Yahuda jine borey ga ne ngey biney ra: «Urusalima gorokoy no ga ti ay gaabo Rabbi Kundeykoyo i Irikoyo do.»
5And the chieftains of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Jehovah of hosts their God.
6In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they will devour all the surrounding peoples, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.
6 Zaaro din ra ay ga naŋ Yahuda jine borey ma ciya sanda taasa kaŋ to da danj'izeyaŋ tuuri patarmi yaŋ ra, sanda danji yulbe bokoyaŋ ra. I ga dumi cindey kulu kaŋ goono g'i windi ŋwa, kambu ŋwaaro da kambu wow haray. Urusalima borey mo ga ye ka goro ngey nango ra Urusalima ra.
6In that day will I make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and [they of] Jerusalem shall yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.
7Yahweh also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.
7 Rabbi ga sintin ka Yahudiya kawyey faaba, zama Dawda kunda darza da Urusalima gorokoy darza ma si beeri ka fooma Yahudiya boŋ.
7Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified above Judah.
8In that day Yahweh will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh before them.
8 Zaaro din ra Rabbi ga te koray Urusalima gorokoy se, hala baa boro kaŋ sinda gaabi ga hima sanda Dawda cine. Dawda kunda mo ga hima Irikoy i jine, sanda Rabbi malayka cine no.
8In that day shall Jehovah defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of Jehovah before them.
9It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
9 A ga ciya mo, han din hane, ay ga ceeci ay ma dumi kulu kaŋ ga kande Urusalima gaa wongu halaci.
9And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me After “me,” the Hebrew has the two letters “Aleph Tav” (the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet), not as a word, but as a grammatical marker. whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.
10 Ay ga gomni nda ŋwaarayyaŋ Biya zumandi Dawda kunda boŋ da Urusalima gorokoy mo boŋ. I ga ay kaŋ i gooru din guna, i ma bu baray te a se mo, sanda mate kaŋ cine boro ga bu baray te nga ize follonka se. A ga dooru i gaa mo, sanda mate kaŋ cine boro bine ga sara ize hay-jine buuyaŋ se.
10And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.
11In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
11 Zaaro din ra i ga bu hẽeni beeri te Urusalima ra, sanda Hadad-Rimmon wano cine Mejiddo gooro ra.
11In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
12The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
12 Laabo ga bu hẽeni te, almayaali kulu waani-waani: Dawda almayaaley kuray fo, i wandey waani; Natan kunda almayaaley kuray fo, i wandey waani;
12And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
13the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;
13 Lawi dumo almayaaley kuray fo, i wandey waani; Simeyon dumo almayaaley kuray fo, i wandey waani;
13the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;
14all the families who remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
14 dumey kulu kaŋ cindi, almayaali kulu waani-waani, i wandey mo kuray fo.
14all the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
