¹This is the blessing, with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

¹தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய மோசே தான் மரணமடையுமுன்னே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை ஆசீர்வதித்த ஆசீர்வாதமாவது:

²He said, “Yahweh came from Sinai, And rose from Seir to them. He shone forth from Mount Paran. He came from the ten thousands of holy ones. At his right hand was a fiery law for them.

²கர்த்தர் சீனாயிலிருந்து எழுந்தருளி, சேயீரிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு உதயமானார்; பாரான் மலையிலிருந்து பிரகாசித்து, பதினாயிரங்களான பரிசுத்தவான்களோடே பிரசன்னமானார்; அவர்களுக்காக அக்கினிமயமான பிரமாணம் அவருடைய வலதுகரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டது.

³Yes, he loves the people. All his saints are in your hand. They sat down at your feet; each receives your words.

³மெய்யாகவே அவர் ஜனங்களைச் சிநேகிக்கிறார்; அவருடைய பரிசுத்தவான்கள் எல்லாரும் உம்முடைய கையில் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் உம்முடைய பாதத்தில் விழுந்து, உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளினால் போதனையடைவார்கள்.

⁴Moses commanded us a law, An inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

⁴மோசே நமக்கு ஒரு நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கற்பித்தான்; அது யாக்கோபின் சபைக்குச் சுதந்தரமாயிற்று.

⁵He was king in Jeshurun, When the heads of the people were gathered, All the tribes of Israel together.

⁵ஜனங்களின் தலைவரும் இஸ்ரவேலின் கோத்திரங்களும் கூட்டங்கூடினபோது அவர் யெஷூரனுக்கு ராஜாவாயிருந்தார்.

⁶“Let Reuben live, and not die; Nor let his men be few.”

⁷This is for Judah. He said, “Hear, Yahweh, the voice of Judah. Bring him in to his people. With his hands he contended for himself. You shall be a help against his adversaries.”

⁷அவன் யூதாவைக்குறித்து: கர்த்தாவே, யூதாவின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு, அவன் தன் ஜனத்தோடே திரும்பச்சேரப்பண்ணும்; அவன் கை பலக்கக்கடவது; அவனுடைய சத்துருக்களுக்கு அவனை நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிக்கிற சகாயராயிருப்பீராக என்றான்.

⁸Of Levi he said, “Your Thummim and your Urim are with your godly one, whom you proved at Massah, with whom you strove at the waters of Meribah;

⁸லேவியரைக்குறித்து: நீ மாசாவிலே பரீட்சைபார்த்து, மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீரிடத்தில் வாக்குவாதம்பண்ணின உன் பரிசுத்த புருஷன் வசமாய் உன்னுடைய தும்மீம் ஊரீம் என்பவைகள் இருப்பதாக.

⁹who said of his father, and of his mother, ‘I have not seen him;’ Neither did he acknowledge his brothers, Nor did he know his own children: For they have observed your word, and keep your covenant.

⁹தன் தகப்பனுக்கும் தன் தாய்க்கும்: நீ உங்களைப் பாரேன் என்று சொல்லி, தன் சகோதரரை அங்கிகரியாமல், தன் பிள்ளைகளையும் அறியாமலிருக்கிறவன் வசமாய் அவைகள் இருப்பதாக; அவர்கள் உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு, உம்முடைய உடன்படிக்கையைக் காக்கிறவர்கள்.

¹⁰They shall teach Jacob your ordinances, and Israel your law. They shall put incense before you, and whole burnt offering on your altar.

¹⁰அவர்கள் யாக்கோபுக்கு உம்முடைய நியாயங்களையும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு உம்முடைய பிரமாணத்தையும் போதித்து, உமது சந்நிதானத்திலே தூபவர்க்கத்தையும், உமது பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் இடுவார்கள்.

¹¹Yahweh, bless his substance. Accept the work of his hands. Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him, of those who hate him, that they not rise again.”

¹¹கர்த்தாவே, அவன் சம்பத்தை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவன் கைக்கிரியையின்மேல் பிரியமாயிரும்; அவனைப் பகைத்து அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்கள் திரும்ப எழுந்திராதபடி அவர்களுடைய இடுப்புகளை நொறுக்கிவிடும் என்றான்.

¹²Of Benjamin he said, “The beloved of Yahweh shall dwell in safety by him. He covers him all the day long. He dwells between his shoulders.”

¹²பென்யமீனைக்குறித்து: கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமானவன், அவரோடே சுகமாய்த் தங்கியிருப்பான்; அவனை எந்நாளும் அவர் காப்பாற்றி, அவன் எல்லைக்குள்ளே வாசமாயிருப்பார் என்றான்.

¹³Of Joseph he said, “His land is blessed by Yahweh, for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew, for the deep that couches beneath,

¹³யோசேப்பைக்குறித்து: கர்த்தரால் அவனுடைய தேசம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக; அது வானத்தின் செல்வத்தினாலும், பனியினாலும், ஆழத்திலுள்ள நீரூற்றுகளினாலும்,

¹⁴for the precious things of the fruits of the sun, for the precious things of the growth of the moons,

¹⁴சூரியன் பக்குவப்படுத்தும் அருமையான கனிகளினாலும், சந்திரன் பக்குவப்படுத்தும் அருமையான பலன்களினாலும்,

¹⁵for the chief things of the ancient mountains, for the precious things of the everlasting hills,

¹⁵ஆதிபர்வதங்களில் உண்டாகும் திரவியங்களினாலும், நித்திய மலைகளில் பிறக்கும் அரும்பொருள்களினாலும்,

¹⁶for the precious things of the earth and its fullness, the good will of him who lived in the bush i. e. the burning bush of Exodus 3:3-4. . Let this come on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.

¹⁶நாடும் அதின் நிறைவும் கொடுக்கும் அருமையான தானியங்களினாலும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக. முட்செடியில் எழுந்தருளினவரின் தயை யோசேப்புடைய சிரசின்மேலும், தன் சகோதரரில் விசேஷித்தவனுடைய உச்சந்தலையின்மேலும் வருவதாக.

¹⁷The firstborn of his herd, majesty is his. His horns are the horns of the wild ox. With them he shall push all of the peoples, to the ends of the earth: They are the ten thousands of Ephraim. They are the thousands of Manasseh.”

¹⁷அவன் அலங்காரம் அவன் தலையீற்றுக் காளையினுடைய அலங்காரத்தைப்போலவும், அவன் கொம்புகள் காண்டாமிருகத்தின் கொம்புகளைப்போலவும் இருக்கும்; அவைகளாலே ஜனங்களை ஏகமாய் தேசத்தின் கடையாந்தரங்கள் மட்டும் முட்டித் துரத்துவான்; அவைகள் எப்பிராயீமின் பதினாயிரங்களும் மனாசேயின் ஆயிரங்களுமானவைகள் என்றான்.

¹⁸Of Zebulun he said, “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents.

¹⁸செபுலோனைக்குறித்து: செபுலோனே, நீ வெளியே புறப்பட்டுப்போகையிலும், இசக்காரே, நீ உன் கூடாரங்களில் தங்குகையிலும் சந்தோஷமாயிரு.

¹⁹They shall call the peoples to the mountain. There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they shall draw out the abundance of the seas, the hidden treasures of the sand.”

¹⁹ஜனங்களை அவர்கள் மலையின்மேல் வரவழைத்து, அங்கே நீதியின் பலிகளை இடுவார்கள்; கடல்களிலுள்ள சம்பூரணத்தையும் மணலுக்குள்ளே மறைந்திருக்கும் பொருள்களையும் அநுபவிப்பார்கள் என்றான்.

²⁰Of Gad he said, “He who enlarges Gad is blessed. He dwells as a lioness, and tears the arm, yes, the crown of the head.

²⁰காத்தைக்குறித்து: காத்துக்கு விஸ்தாரமான இடத்தைக் கொடுக்கிறவர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்பட்டவர்; அவன் சிங்கத்தைப்போல் தங்கியிருந்து, புயத்தையும் உச்சந்தலையையும் பீறிப்போடுவான்.

²¹He provided the first part for himself, for there was the lawgiver’s portion reserved. He came with the heads of the people. He executed the righteousness of Yahweh, His ordinances with Israel.”

²¹அவன் தனக்காக முதல் இடத்தைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டான்; அங்கே தனக்கு நியாயப்பிரமாணிகன் கொடுத்த பங்கு பத்திரமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் அவன் ஜனத்தின் முன்னணியாய் வந்து, மற்ற இஸ்ரவேலுடனே கர்த்தரின் நீதியையும் அவருடைய நியாயங்களையும் நடப்பிப்பான் என்றான்.

²²Of Dan he said, “Dan is a lion’s cub that leaps out of Bashan.”

²²தாணைக்குறித்து: தாண் ஒரு பாலசிங்கம், அவன் பாசானிலிருந்து பாய்வான் என்றான்.

²³Of Naphtali he said, “Naphtali, satisfied with favor, full of the blessing of Yahweh, Possess the west and the south.”

²³நப்தலியைக்குறித்து: நப்தலி கர்த்தருடைய தயவினாலே திருப்தியடைந்து, அவருடைய ஆசீர்வாதத்தினாலே நிறைந்திருப்பான். நீ மேற்றிசையையும் தென்திசையையும் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள் என்றான்.

²⁴Of Asher he said, “Asher is blessed with children. Let him be acceptable to his brothers. Let him dip his foot in oil.

²⁴ஆசேரைக்குறித்து: ஆசேர் புத்திர பாக்கியமுடையவனாய், தன் சகோதரருக்குப் பிரியமாயிருந்து, தன் காலை எண்ணெயிலே தோய்ப்பான்.

²⁵Your bars shall be iron and brass. As your days, so your strength will be.

²⁵இரும்பும் வெண்கலமும் உன் பாதரட்சையின் கீழிருக்கும்; உன் நாட்களுக்குத்தக்கதாய் உன் பெலனும் இருக்கும் என்றான்.

²⁶“There is none like God, Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens for your help, In his excellency on the skies.

²⁶யெஷூரனுடைய தேவனைப்போல் ஒருவரும் இல்லை; அவர் உனக்குச் சகாயமாய் வானங்களின்மேலும் தமது மாட்சிமையோடு ஆகாய மண்டலங்களின் மேலும் ஏறிவருகிறார்.

²⁷The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He thrust out the enemy from before you, and said, ‘Destroy!’

²⁷அநாதி தேவனே உனக்கு அடைக்கலம்; அவருடைய நித்திய புயங்கள் உனக்கு ஆதாரம்; அவர் உனக்கு முன்னின்று சத்துருக்களைத் துரத்தி, அவர்களை அழித்துப்போடு என்று கட்டளையிடுவார்.

²⁸Israel dwells in safety; the fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine. Yes, his heavens drop down dew.

²⁸இஸ்ரவேல் சுகமாய்த் தனித்து வாசம்பண்ணுவான்; யாக்கோபின் ஊற்றானது தானியமும் திராட்சரசமுமுள்ள தேசத்திலே இருக்கும்; அவருடைய வானமும் பனியைப் பெய்யும்.

²⁹You are happy, Israel. Who is like you, a people saved by Yahweh, the shield of your help, the sword of your excellency! Your enemies shall submit themselves to you. You shall tread on their high places.”

²⁹இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ பாக்கியவான்; கர்த்தரால் ரட்சிக்கப்பட்ட ஜனமே, உனக்கு ஒப்பானவன் யார்? உனக்குச் சகாயஞ்செய்யும் கேடகமும் உனக்கு மகிமை பொருந்திய பட்டயமும் அவரே; உன் சத்துருக்கள் உனக்கு இச்சகம் பேசி அடங்குவார்கள்; அவர்கள் மேடுகளை மிதிப்பாய், என்று சொன்னான்.
