¹Give thanks to Yahweh, “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

¹கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

²Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary,

²கர்த்தரால் சத்துருவின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி மீட்கப்பட்டு,

³And gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

³கிழக்கிலும் மேற்கிலும் வடக்கிலும் தெற்கிலுமுள்ள பல தேசங்களிலுமிருந்து சேர்க்கப்பட்டவர்கள், அப்படிச் சொல்லக்கடவர்கள்.

⁴They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in.

⁴அவர்கள் தாபரிக்கும் ஊரைக்காணாமல், வனாந்தரத்திலே அவாந்தரவழியாய்,

⁵Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

⁵பசியாகவும், தாகமாகவும், ஆத்துமா தொய்ந்ததாகவும் அலைந்து திரிந்தார்கள்.

⁶Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses,

⁶தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டார்கள், அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளிலிருந்து அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்.

⁷he led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in.

⁷தாபரிக்கும் ஊருக்குப்போய்ச்சேர, அவர்களைச் செவ்வையான வழியிலே நடத்தினார்.

⁸Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

⁸தவனமுள்ள ஆத்துமாவைக் கர்த்தர் திருப்தியாக்கி, பசியுள்ள ஆத்துமாவை நன்மையினால் நிரப்புகிறாரென்று,

⁹For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.

⁹அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் அவரைத் துதிப்பார்களாக.

¹⁰Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,

¹⁰தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, உன்னதமானவருடைய ஆலோசனையை அசட்டைபண்ணினவர்கள்,

¹¹because they rebelled against the words of God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” , and condemned the counsel of the Most High.

¹¹அந்தகாரத்திலும் மரண இருளிலும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்து, ஒடுக்கத்திலும் இரும்பிலும் கட்டுண்டு கிடந்தார்கள்.

¹²Therefore he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down, and there was none to help.

¹²அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்தை அவர் வருத்தத்தால் தாழ்த்தினார்; சகாயரில்லாமல் விழுந்து போனார்கள்.

¹³Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

¹³தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளிலிருந்து அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சித்தார்.

¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds in sunder.

¹⁴அந்தகாரத்திலும் மரணஇருளிலுமிருந்து அவர்களை வெளிப்படப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள் கட்டுகளை அறுத்தார்.

¹⁵Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

¹⁵கர்த்தர் வெண்கலக் கதவுகளை உடைத்து, இருப்புத் தாழ்ப்பாள்களை முறித்தாரென்று,

¹⁶For he has broken the gates of brass, and cut through bars of iron.

¹⁶அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் அவரைத் துதிப்பார்களாக.

¹⁷Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.

¹⁷நிர்மூடர் தங்கள் பாதகமார்க்கத்தாலும் தங்கள் அக்கிரமங்களாலும் நோய்கொண்டு ஒடுங்கிப்போகிறார்கள்.

¹⁸Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.

¹⁸அவர்கள் ஆத்துமா சகல போஜனத்தையும் அரோசிக்கிறது, அவர்கள் மரணவாசல்கள் பரியந்தம் சமீபிக்கிறார்கள்.

¹⁹Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, he saves them out of their distresses.

¹⁹தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளுக்கு அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சிக்கிறார்.

²⁰He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.

²⁰அவர் தமது வசனத்தை அனுப்பி அவர்களைக் குணமாக்கி, அவர்களை அழிவுக்குத் தப்புவிக்கிறார்.

²¹Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

²¹அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் துதித்து,

²²Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with singing.

²²ஸ்தோத்திரபலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, அவருடைய கிரியைகளை ஆனந்த சத்தத்தோடே விவரிப்பார்களாக.

²³Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters;

²³கப்பலேறி, கடல்யாத்திரைபண்ணி, திரளான தண்ணீர்களிலே தொழில் செய்கிறார்களே,

²⁴These see Yahweh’s works, and his wonders in the deep.

²⁴அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கிரியைகளையும், ஆழத்திலே அவருடைய அதிசயங்களையும் காண்கிறார்கள்.

²⁵For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.

²⁵அவர் கட்டளையிட பெருங்காற்று எழும்பி, அதின் அலைகளைக் கொந்தளிக்கப்பண்ணும்.

²⁶They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble.

²⁶அவர்கள் ஆகாயத்தில் ஏறி, ஆழங்களில் இறங்குகிறார்கள், அவர்கள் ஆத்துமா கிலேசத்தினால் கரைந்துபோகிறது.

²⁷They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.

²⁷வெறித்தவனைப்போல் அலைந்து தடுமாறுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய ஞானமெல்லாம் முழுகிப்போகிறது.

²⁸Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress.

²⁸அப்பொழுது தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள், அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளுக்கு அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிக்கிறார்.

²⁹He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.

²⁹கொந்தளிப்பை அமர்த்துகிறார், அதின் அலைகள் அடங்குகின்றது.

³⁰Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.

³⁰அமைதலுண்டானதினிமித்தம் அவர்கள் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறார்கள்; தாங்கள் நாடின துறைமுகத்தில் அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து சேர்க்கிறார்.

³¹Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works for the children of men!

³¹அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதியசயங்களினிமித்தமும் துதித்து,

³²Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.

³²ஜனங்களின் சபையிலே அவரை உயர்த்தி, மூப்பர்களின் சங்கத்திலே அவரைப் போற்றுவார்களாக.

³³He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground,

³³அவர் ஆறுகளை அவாந்தரவெளியாகவும், நீரூற்றுகளை வறண்ட ஸ்தலமாகவும்,

³⁴and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

³⁴குடிகளுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம் செழிப்பான தேசத்தை உவர் நிலமாகவும் மாற்றுகிறார்.

³⁵He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.

³⁵அவர் அவாந்தரவெளியைத் தண்ணீர்த்தடாகமாகவும், வறண்ட நிலத்தை நீரூற்றுகளாகவும் மாற்றி,

³⁶There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,

³⁶பசித்தவர்களை அங்கே குடியேற்றுகிறார்; அங்கே அவர்கள் குடியிருக்கும் நகரத்தைக் கட்டி,

³⁷sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.

³⁷வயல்களை உண்டாக்கி விதைத்து, திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களை நாட்டுகிறார்கள், அவைகள் வரத்துள்ள பலனைத் தரும்.

³⁸He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.

³⁸அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார், மிகுதியும் பெருகுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய மிருகஜீவன்கள் குறையாதிருக்கப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

³⁹Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.

³⁹பின்பு அவர்கள் இடுக்கத்தினாலும், ஆபத்தினாலும், துயரத்தினாலும் குறைவுபட்டுத் தாழ்வடைகிறார்கள்.

⁴⁰He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.

⁴⁰அவர் பிரபுக்களின்மேல் இகழ்ச்சிவரப்பண்ணி, வழியில்லாத அவாந்தர வெளியிலே அவர்களைத் திரியச்செய்து,

⁴¹Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.

⁴¹எளியவனையோ சிறுமையினின்று எடுத்து, உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலத்திலே வைத்து, அவன் வம்சங்களை மந்தையைப்போலாக்குகிறார்.

⁴²The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.

⁴²உத்தமர்கள் அதைக்கண்டு மகிழுவார்கள்; நியாயக்கேடெல்லாம் தன் வாயை மூடும்.

⁴³Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of Yahweh.

⁴³எவன் ஞானமுள்ளவனோ அவன் இவைகளைக் கவனிக்கக்கடவன்; ஞானவான்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கிருபைகளை உணர்ந்துகொள்வார்கள்.
