¹Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake.

²Why should the nations say, “Where is their God, now?”

³But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.

⁴Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

⁴அவர்களுடைய விக்கிரகங்கள் வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும், மனுஷருடைய கைவேலையுமாயிருக்கிறது.

⁵They have mouths, but they don’t speak. They have eyes, but they don’t see.

⁵அவைகளுக்கு வாயிருந்தும் பேசாது; அவைகளுக்குக் கண்களிருந்தும் காணாது.

⁶They have ears, but they don’t hear. They have noses, but they don’t smell.

⁶அவைகளுக்குக் காதுகளிருந்தும் கேளாது; அவைகளுக்கு மூக்கிருந்தும் முகராது.

⁷They have hands, but they don’t feel. They have feet, but they don’t walk, neither do they speak through their throat.

⁷அவைகளுக்குக் கைகளிருந்தும் தொடாது; அவைகளுக்குக் கால்களிருந்தும் நடவாது; தங்கள் தொண்டையால் சத்தமிடவும் மாட்டாது.

⁸Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.

⁸அவைகளைப் பண்ணுகிறவர்களும், அவைகளை நம்புகிறவர்கள் யாவரும், அவைகளைப்போலவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

⁹Israel, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.

¹⁰House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.

¹⁰ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை நம்புங்கள்; அவரே அவர்களுக்குத் துணையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கேடகமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

¹¹You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.

¹¹கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களே, கர்த்தரை நம்புங்கள்; அவரே அவர்களுக்குத் துணையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கேடகமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

¹²Yahweh remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.

¹³He will bless those who fear Yahweh, both small and great.

¹⁴May Yahweh increase you more and more, you and your children.

¹⁴கர்த்தர் உங்களையும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் வர்த்திக்கப்பண்ணுவார்.

¹⁵Blessed are you by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.

¹⁵வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் படைத்த கர்த்தராலே நீங்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்.

¹⁶The heavens are the heavens of Yahweh; but the earth has he given to the children of men.

¹⁶வானங்கள் கர்த்தருடையவைகள்; பூமியையோ மனுபுத்திரருக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

¹⁷The dead don’t praise Yah, neither any who go down into silence;

¹⁷மரித்தவர்களும் மவுனத்தில் இறங்குகிற அனைவரும் கர்த்தரைத் துதியார்கள்.

¹⁸But we will bless Yah, from this time forth and forevermore. Praise Yah!
