¹ Lord, The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” you have been our dwelling place for all generations.

¹ஆண்டவரே, தேவரீர் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக எங்களுக்கு அடைக்கலமானவர்.

²Before the mountains were brought forth, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

²பர்வதங்கள் தோன்றுமுன்னும், நீர் பூமியையும், உலகத்தையும் உருவாக்குமுன்னும், நீரே அநாதியாய் என்றென்றைக்கும் தேவனாயிருக்கிறீர்.

³You turn man to destruction, saying, “Return, you children of men.”

³நீர் மனுஷரை நீர்த்துளியாக்கி, மனுபுத்திரரே, திரும்புங்கள் என்கிறீர்.

⁴For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past, like a watch in the night.

⁴உமது பார்வைக்கு ஆயிரம் வருஷம் நேற்றுக்கழிந்த நாள்போலவும் இராச்சாமம்போலவும் இருக்கிறது.

⁵You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass.

⁵அவர்களை வெள்ளம்போல் வாரிக்கொண்டு போகிறீர்; நித்திரைக்கு ஒத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; காலையிலே முளைக்கிற புல்லுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

⁶In the morning it sprouts and springs up. By evening, it is withered and dry.

⁶அது காலையிலே முளைத்துப் பூத்து, மாலையிலே அறுப்புண்டு உலர்ந்துபோகும்.

⁷For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath.

⁷நாங்கள் உமது கோபத்தினால் அழிந்து உமது உக்கிரத்தினால் கலங்கிப்போகிறோம்.

⁸You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

⁹For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh.

¹²So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

¹⁴Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

¹⁴நாங்கள் எங்கள் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் களிகூர்ந்து மகிழும்படி, காலையிலே எங்களை உமது கிருபையால் திருப்தியாக்கும்.

¹⁵Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen evil.

¹⁵தேவரீர் எங்களைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தின நாட்களுக்கும், நாங்கள் துன்பத்தைக் கண்ட வருஷங்களுக்கும் சரியாய் எங்களை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும்.

¹⁶Let your work appear to your servants; your glory to their children.
