¹Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’t faint.

¹เพราะเหตุที่เรามีการรับใช้นี้โดยได้รับพระกรุณา เราจึงไม่ย่อท้อ

²But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

²แต่ว่าเราได้สละทิ้งการกิจการต่างๆที่ไม่ซื่อสัตย์ซึ่งปิดบังซ่อนเร้นไว้ คือไม่ได้ดำเนินอย่างมีเล่ห์เหลี่ยมและไม่ได้พลิกแพลงพระวจนะของพระเจ้าด้วยวิธีการอันล่อลวง แต่เราได้มอบตัวของเราไว้กับจิตสำนึกผิดชอบของคนทั้งปวง โดยสำแดงความจริงในสายพระเนตรของพระเจ้า

³Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish;

³แต่ถ้าข่าวประเสริฐของเราถูกบังไว้จากใคร ก็จากคนเหล่านั้นที่กำลังจะพินาศ

⁴in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

⁴ส่วนคนที่ไม่เชื่อนั้น พระของยุคนี้ได้กระทำใจของเขาให้มืดไป เพื่อไม่ให้ความสว่างของข่าวประเสริฐอันมีสง่าราศีของพระคริสต์ ผู้เป็นพระฉายของพระเจ้า ส่องแสงถึงพวกเขา

⁵For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake;

⁵ด้วยว่าเราไม่ได้ประกาศตัวเราเอง แต่ได้ประกาศพระเยซูคริสต์ว่าทรงเป็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และได้ประกาศตัวเราเองเป็นผู้รับใช้ของท่านทั้งหลายเพราะเห็นแก่พระเยซู

⁶seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” Genesis 1:3 who has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁶เพราะว่าพระเจ้าองค์นั้น ผู้ได้ตรัสสั่งให้ความสว่างออกมาจากความมืด ได้ทรงส่องสว่างเข้ามาในจิตใจของเรา เพื่อให้เรามีความสว่างแห่งความรู้ถึงสง่าราศีของพระเจ้าปรากฏในพระพักตร์ของพระเยซูคริสต์

⁷But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.

⁷แต่ว่าเรามีทรัพย์สมบัตินี้อยู่ในภาชนะดิน เพื่อให้เห็นว่าฤทธิ์เดชอันเลิศนั้นเป็นของพระเจ้า ไม่ได้มาจากตัวเราเอง

⁸We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;

⁸เราถูกขนาบรอบข้าง แต่ก็ไม่ถึงกับกระดิกไม่ไหว เราจนปัญญา แต่ก็ไม่ถึงกับหมดหวัง

⁹pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;

⁹เราถูกข่มเหง แต่ก็ไม่ถูกทอดทิ้ง เราถูกตีลงแล้ว แต่ก็ไม่ถึงตาย

¹⁰always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

¹⁰เราแบกความตายของพระเยซูเจ้าไว้ที่กายเราเสมอ เพื่อว่าชีวิตของพระเยซูจะปรากฏในกายของเราด้วย

¹¹For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.

¹¹เพราะว่าพวกเราที่มีชีวิตอยู่นั้นต้องถูกมอบไว้แก่ความตายอยู่เสมอเพราะเห็นแก่พระเยซู เพื่อว่าพระชนม์ชีพของพระเยซูจะได้ปรากฏในเนื้อหนังของเราซึ่งจะต้องตายนั้น

¹²So then death works in us, but life in you.

¹²เหตุฉะนั้นความตายจึงกำลังออกฤทธิ์อยู่ในเรา แต่ชีวิตกำลังออกฤทธิ์อยู่ในท่านทั้งหลาย

¹³But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.” Psalm 116:10 We also believe, and therefore also we speak;

¹³เพราะเรามีใจเชื่อเช่นเดียวกัน ตามที่เขียนไว้ว่า `ข้าพเจ้าเชื่อแล้ว เหตุฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงพูด' เราก็เชื่อเหมือนกัน เพราะฉะนั้นเราจึงพูด

¹⁴knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.

¹⁴เรารู้ว่าพระองค์ผู้ทรงให้พระเยซูเจ้าคืนพระชนม์ จะทรงโปรดให้เราเป็นขึ้นมาเช่นกันโดยพระเยซู และจะทรงพาเราเข้ามาเฝ้าพร้อมกับท่านทั้งหลาย

¹⁵For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

¹⁵เพราะว่าสิ่งสารพัดนั้นเป็นไปเพื่อประโยชน์ของท่านทั้งหลาย เพื่อว่าเมื่อพระคุณมาถึงคนเป็นจำนวนมากขึ้น ก็จะมีการขอบพระคุณมากยิ่งขึ้นเป็นการถวายพระเกียรติแด่พระเจ้า

¹⁶Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.

¹⁶เหตุฉะนั้นเราจึงไม่ย่อท้อ ถึงแม้ว่ากายภายนอกของเรากำลังทรุดโทรมไป แต่จิตใจภายในนั้นก็ยังคงจำเริญขึ้นใหม่ทุกวัน

¹⁷For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;

¹⁷เพราะว่าการทุกข์ยากเล็กๆน้อยๆของเรา ซึ่งเรารับอยู่ประเดี๋ยวเดียวนั้นจะทำให้เรามีสง่าราศีใหญ่ยิ่งนิรันดร์

¹⁸while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

¹⁸ด้วยว่าเราไม่ได้เห็นแก่สิ่งของที่เรามองเห็นอยู่ แต่เห็นแก่สิ่งของที่มองไม่เห็น เพราะว่าสิ่งของซึ่งมองเห็นอยู่นั้นเป็นของไม่ยั่งยืน แต่สิ่งซึ่งมองไม่เห็นนั้นก็ถาวรนิรันดร์
