¹Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all with one accord in one place.

¹เมื่อวันเทศกาลเพ็นเทคศเตมาถึง จำพวกสาวกจึงมาร่วมใจกันอยู่ในที่แห่งเดียวกัน

²Suddenly there came from the sky a sound like the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

²ในทันใดนั้น มีเสียงดังมาจากฟ้าเหมือนเสียงพายุกล้าสั่นก้องทั่วบ้านที่เขานั่งอยู่นั้น

³Tongues like fire appeared and were distributed to them, and one sat on each of them.

³มีเปลวไฟสัณฐานเหมือนลิ้นปรากฏแก่เขา และกระจายอยู่บนเขาสิ้นทุกคน

⁴They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.

⁴เขาเหล่านั้นก็ประกอบด้วยพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์จึงตั้งต้นพูดภาษาแปลกๆตามที่พระวิญญาณทรงโปรดให้พูด

⁵Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under the sky.

⁹Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and people from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia,

⁹เช่นชาวปารเธียและมีเดีย ชาวเอลามและคนที่อยู่ในเขตแดนเมโสโปเตเมีย และแคว้นยูเดียและแคว้นคัปปาโดเซีย ในแคว้นปอนทัสและเอเชีย

¹⁰Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, the parts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,

¹⁰ในแคว้นฟรีเจีย แคว้นปัมฟีเลียและประเทศอียิปต์ ในแคว้นเมืองลิเบียซึ่งขึ้นกับนครไซรีน และคนมาจากกรุงโรม ทั้งพวกยิวกับคนเข้าจารีตยิว

¹¹Cretans and Arabians: we hear them speaking in our languages the mighty works of God!”

¹¹ชาวเกาะครีตและชาวอาระเบีย เราทั้งหลายต่างก็ได้ยินคนเหล่านี้กล่าวถึงมหกิจของพระเจ้าตามภาษาของเราเอง"

¹²They were all amazed, and were perplexed, saying one to another, “What does this mean?”

¹²เขาทั้งหลายจึงอัศจรรย์ใจและฉงนสนเท่ห์พูดกันว่า "นี่อะไรกัน"

¹³Others, mocking, said, “They are filled with new wine.”

¹³แต่บางคนเยาะเย้ยว่า "คนเหล่านั้นเมาเหล้าองุ่นใหม่"

¹⁴But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke out to them, “You men of Judea, and all you who dwell at Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to my words.

¹⁵For these aren’t drunken, as you suppose, seeing it is only the third hour of the day about 9:00 AM .

¹⁵ด้วยว่าคนเหล่านี้มิได้เมาเหล้าองุ่นเหมือนอย่างที่ท่านคิดนั้น เพราะว่าเป็นเวลาสามโมงเช้า

¹⁶But this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel:

¹⁶แต่เหตุการณ์นี้เกิดขึ้นตามคำซึ่งโยเอลศาสดาพยากรณ์ได้กล่าวไว้ว่า

¹⁷‘It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams.

¹⁷`พระเจ้าตรัสว่า ต่อมาในวันสุดท้าย เราจะเทพระวิญญาณของเรามาเหนือเนื้อหนังทั้งปวง บุตรชายบุตรสาวของท่านจะพยากรณ์ คนหนุ่มของท่านจะเห็นนิมิต และคนแก่จะฝันเห็น

¹⁸Yes, and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days, I will pour out my Spirit, and they will prophesy.

¹⁸ในคราวนั้นเราจะเทพระวิญญาณของเราบนทาสและทาสีของเรา และคนเหล่านั้นจะพยากรณ์

¹⁹I will show wonders in the sky above, and signs on the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and billows of smoke.

¹⁹เราจะสำแดงการมหัศจรรย์ในอากาศเบื้องบนและหมายสำคัญที่แผ่นดินเบื้องล่างเป็นเลือด ไฟและไอควัน

²⁰The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

²⁰ดวงอาทิตย์จะมืดไปและดวงจันทร์จะกลับเป็นเลือด ก่อนถึงวันใหญ่นั้น คือวันใหญ่ยิ่งขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า

²¹It will be, that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ Joel 2:28-32

²¹และจะเป็นเช่นนี้คือทุกคนที่จะร้องออกพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าก็จะรอด'

²²“Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, even as you yourselves know,

²²ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เป็นชนชาติอิสราเอล ขอฟังคำเหล่านี้เถิด คือพระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธ เป็นผู้ที่พระเจ้าทรงโปรดชี้แจงให้ท่านทั้งหลายทราบโดยการอัศจรรย์ การมหัศจรรย์และหมายสำคัญต่างๆ ซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงกระทำโดยพระองค์นั้น ท่ามกลางท่านทั้งหลาย ดังที่ท่านทราบอยู่แล้ว

²³him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;

²³พระองค์นี้ทรงถูกมอบไว้ตามที่พระเจ้าได้ทรงดำริแน่นอนล่วงหน้าไว้ก่อน ท่านทั้งหลายได้ให้คนชั่วจับพระองค์ ไปตรึงที่กางเขนและประหารชีวิตเสีย

²⁴whom God raised up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.

²⁴พระเจ้าได้ทรงบันดาลให้พระองค์คืนพระชนม์ ด้วยทรงกำจัดความเจ็บปวดแห่งความตายเสีย เพราะว่าความตายจะครอบงำพระองค์ไว้ไม่ได้

²⁵For David says concerning him, ‘I saw the Lord always before my face, For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.

²⁵เพราะดาวิดได้ทรงกล่าวถึงพระองค์ว่า `ข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรงหน้าข้าพเจ้าเสมอ เพราะว่าพระองค์ประทับที่มือขวาของข้าพเจ้า เพื่อข้าพเจ้าจะมิได้หวั่นไหว

²⁶Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced. Moreover my flesh also will dwell in hope;

²⁶เพราะฉะนั้นจิตใจของข้าพเจ้าจึงยินดี และลิ้นของข้าพเจ้าจึงเปรมปรีดิ์ ยิ่งกว่านี้เนื้อหนังของข้าพเจ้าจะพักพิงอยู่ในความหวังใจด้วย

²⁷because you will not leave my soul in Hades or, Hell , neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.

²⁷เพราะพระองค์จะไม่ทรงทิ้งจิตวิญญาณของข้าพระองค์ไว้ในนรก ทั้งจะไม่ทรงให้องค์บริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์เปื่อยเน่าไป

²⁸You made known to me the ways of life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’ Psalm 16:8-11

²⁸พระองค์ได้ทรงโปรดให้ข้าพระองค์ทราบทางแห่งชีวิตแล้ว พระองค์จะทรงโปรดให้ข้าพระองค์มีความยินดีเต็มเปี่ยมด้วยสีพระพักตร์อันชอบพระทัยของพระองค์'

²⁹“Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

²⁹พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้ามีใจกล้าที่จะกล่าวแก่ท่านทั้งหลายถึงดาวิดบรรพบุรุษของเราว่า ท่านสิ้นพระชนม์แล้วถูกฝังไว้ และอุโมงค์ฝังศพของท่านยังอยู่กับเราจนถึงทุกวันนี้

³⁰Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

³⁰ท่านเป็นศาสดาพยากรณ์และทราบว่าพระเจ้าตรัสสัญญาไว้แก่ท่านด้วยพระปฏิญาณว่า พระองค์จะทรงประทานผู้หนึ่งจากบั้นเอวของท่าน และตามเนื้อหนังนั้น พระองค์จะทรงยกพระคริสต์ให้ประทับบนพระที่นั่งของท่าน

³¹he foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was his soul left in Hades or, Hell , nor did his flesh see decay.

³¹ดาวิดก็ทรงล่วงรู้เหตุการณ์นี้ก่อน จึงทรงกล่าวถึงการคืนพระชนม์ของพระคริสต์ว่า จิตวิญญาณของพระองค์ไม่ต้องละไว้ในนรก ทั้งพระมังสะของพระองค์ก็ไม่เปื่อยเน่าไป

³²This Jesus God raised up, to which we all are witnesses.

³²พระเยซูนี้พระเจ้าได้ทรงบันดาลให้คืนพระชนม์แล้ว ข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายเป็นพยานในข้อนี้

³³Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you now see and hear.

³³เหตุฉะนั้นเมื่อพระหัตถ์เบื้องขวาของพระเจ้าได้ทรงตั้งพระองค์ขึ้น และครั้นพระองค์ได้ทรงรับพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์จากพระบิดาตามพระสัญญา พระองค์ได้ทรงเทฤทธิ์เดชนี้ลงมา ดังที่ท่านทั้งหลายได้ยินและเห็นแล้ว

³⁴For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit by my right hand,

³⁴เหตุว่าท่านดาวิดไม่ได้ขึ้นไปยังสวรรค์ แต่ท่านได้กล่าวว่า `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าว่า จงนั่งที่ขวามือของเรา

³⁵until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’ Psalm 110:1

³⁵จนกว่าเราจะกระทำให้ศัตรูของท่านเป็นแท่นรองเท้าของท่าน'

³⁶“Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

³⁶เหตุฉะนั้นให้วงศ์วานอิสราเอลทั้งปวงทราบแน่นอนว่า พระเจ้าได้ทรงยกพระเยซูนี้ ซึ่งท่านทั้งหลายได้ตรึงไว้ที่กางเขน ทรงตั้งขึ้นให้เป็นทั้งองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าและเป็นพระคริสต์"

³⁷Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

³⁷เมื่อคนทั้งหลายได้ยินแล้วก็รู้สึกแปลบปลาบใจ จึงกล่าวแก่เปโตรและอัครสาวกอื่นๆว่า "พี่น้องเอ๋ย เราจะทำอย่างไรดี"

³⁸Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

³⁸ฝ่ายเปโตรจึงกล่าวแก่เขาว่า "จงกลับใจเสียใหม่และรับบัพติศมาในพระนามแห่งพระเยซูคริสต์สิ้นทุกคน เพื่อว่าพระเจ้าทรงยกความผิดบาปของท่านเสีย และท่านจะได้รับของประทานของพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์

³⁹For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

³⁹ด้วยว่าพระสัญญานั้นตกแก่ท่านทั้งหลายกับลูกหลานของท่านด้วย และแก่คนทั้งหลายที่อยู่ไกล คือทุกคนที่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าของเราทรงเรียกมาเฝ้าพระองค์"

⁴⁰With many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”

⁴⁰เปโตรจึงกล่าวอีกหลายคำเป็นพยานและได้เตือนสติเขาว่า "จงเอาตัวรอดจากยุคที่คดโกงนี้เถิด"

⁴¹Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.

⁴¹คนทั้งหลายที่รับคำของเปโตรด้วยความยินดีก็รับบัพติศมา ในวันนั้นมีคนเข้าเป็นสาวกเพิ่มอีกประมาณสามพันคน

⁴²They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.

⁴²เขาทั้งหลายได้ตั้งมั่นคงในคำสอนและสามัคคีธรรมของจำพวกอัครสาวก และร่วมใจกันในการหักขนมปังและการอธิษฐาน

⁴³Fear came on every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

⁴³เขามีความเกรงกลัวด้วยกันทุกคน และพวกอัครสาวกทำการมหัศจรรย์และหมายสำคัญหลายประการ

⁴⁴All who believed were together, and had all things in common.

⁴⁴บรรดาผู้ที่เชื่อถือนั้นก็อยู่พร้อมกัน ณ ที่แห่งเดียว และทรัพย์สิ่งของของเขาเหล่านั้นเขาเอามารวมกันเป็นของกลาง

⁴⁵They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.

⁴⁵เขาจึงได้ขายทรัพย์สมบัติและสิ่งของมาแบ่งให้แก่คนทั้งปวงตามซึ่งทุกคนต้องการ

⁴⁶Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

⁴⁶เขาได้ร่วมใจกันไปในพระวิหาร และหักขนมปังตามบ้านของเขาร่วมรับประทานอาหารด้วยความชื่นชมยินดีและด้วยจริงใจ ทุกวันเรื่อยไป

⁴⁷praising God, and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to the assembly day by day those who were being saved.

⁴⁷ทั้งได้สรรเสริญพระเจ้าและคนทั้งปวงก็ชอบใจ ฝ่ายองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ทรงโปรดให้ผู้ที่กำลังจะรอด เข้าสมทบกับคริสตจักรทวีขึ้นทุกๆวัน
