¹He said to me, Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.

¹พระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย ยืนขึ้น เราจะพูดกับเจ้า"

²The Spirit entered into me when he spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard him who spoke to me.

²และเมื่อพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าพระวิญญาณได้เข้าไปในข้าพเจ้าและตั้งข้าพเจ้าให้ยืนขึ้น และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินพระองค์นั้นผู้ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้า

³He said to me, Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.

³และพระองค์ตรัสสั่งข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เราส่งเจ้าไปยังคนอิสราเอล ถึงประชาชาติที่มักกบฏ ผู้ซึ่งได้กบฏต่อเรา ทั้งตัวเขาและบรรพบุรุษของเขาได้ละเมิดต่อเราจนกระทั่งวันนี้

⁴The children are impudent and stiff-hearted: I am sending you to them; and you shall tell them, Thus says the Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” Yahweh.

⁴ประชาชนก็หน้าด้านและดื้อดึงด้วย เราใช้เจ้าไปหาเขา และเจ้าจะพูดกับเขาว่า `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า'

⁵They, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house), yet shall know that there has been a prophet among them.

⁵เขาจะฟังหรือปฏิเสธไม่ฟังก็ตาม (เพราะว่าเขาเป็นวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏ) เขาก็จะทราบว่า ได้มีผู้พยากรณ์คนหนึ่งในหมู่พวกเขาแล้ว

⁶You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you do dwell among scorpions: don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

⁶เจ้า บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เจ้าอย่ากลัวเขา หรืออย่าเกรงคำพูดของเขา ถึงแม้ว่าหนามย่อยหนามใหญ่อยู่กับเจ้า และเจ้าอยู่ท่ามกลางแมลงป่อง อย่าเกรงคำพูดของเขาเลย อย่าท้อถอยเมื่อเห็นหน้าเขา เพราะเขาเป็นวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏ

⁷You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are most rebellious.

⁷และเจ้าจะกล่าวถ้อยคำของเราให้เขาฟัง เขาจะฟังหรือปฏิเสธไม่ฟังก็ตามเถอะ เพราะเขาเป็นผู้ที่มักกบฏ

⁸But you, son of man, hear what I tell you; don’t be rebellious like that rebellious house: open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.

⁸บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย ฝ่ายเจ้าจงฟังสิ่งที่เรากล่าวแก่เจ้า อย่าเป็นคนมักกบฏอย่างวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏนั้น จงอ้าปากขึ้นและกินสิ่งที่เราให้เจ้า"

⁹When I looked, behold, a hand was put forth to me; and, behold, a scroll of a book was therein;

⁹ดูเถิด เมื่อข้าพเจ้ามองดูก็เห็นพระหัตถ์ข้างหนึ่งเหยียดออกมายังข้าพเจ้า และดูเถิด ในพระหัตถ์นั้นมีหนังสืออยู่ม้วนหนึ่ง

¹⁰He spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

¹⁰พระองค์ทรงคลี่หนังสือม้วนนั้นออกต่อหน้าข้าพเจ้า และมีตัวหนังสือเขียนอยู่ทั้งด้านหน้าและด้านหลัง มีบทคร่ำครวญ คำไว้ทุกข์และคำวิบัติเขียนอยู่บนนั้น
