¹He said to me, Son of man, eat that which you find. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.

¹พระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าอีกว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย จงรับประทานสิ่งที่เจ้าได้พบ จงรับประทานหนังสือม้วนนี้ และจงไปพูดกับวงศ์วานอิสราเอล"

²So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat the scroll.

²ข้าพเจ้าจึงอ้าปาก และพระองค์ทรงให้ข้าพเจ้ารับประทานหนังสือม้วนนั้น

³He said to me, Son of man, cause your belly to eat, and fill your bowels with this scroll that I give you. Then I ate it; and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.

³และพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย จงรับประทานหนังสือม้วนนี้ซึ่งเราได้ให้แก่เจ้า และบรรจุให้เต็มท้องของเจ้า" แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็ได้รับประทาน และเมื่อหนังสือม้วนนั้นอยู่ในปากของข้าพเจ้าก็หวานเหมือนน้ำผึ้ง

⁴He said to me, Son of man, go to the house of Israel, and speak my words to them.

⁴และพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เจ้าจงไปยังวงศ์วานอิสราเอลและกล่าวถ้อยคำของเราแก่เขา

⁵For you are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel;

⁵เพราะเรามิได้ใช้เจ้าไปหาชนชาติที่พูดภาษาต่างด้าวและภาษาที่พูดยาก แต่ให้ไปหาวงศ์วานอิสราเอล

⁶not to many peoples of a strange speech and of a hard language, whose words you can not understand. Surely, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you.

⁶มิใช่ให้ไปหาชนชาติทั้งหลายเป็นอันมากที่พูดภาษาต่างด้าวและภาษาที่พูดยาก เป็นคำที่เจ้าจะเข้าใจไม่ได้ ที่จริงถ้าเราใช้เจ้าไปหาคนเช่นนั้น เขาทั้งหลายจะฟังเจ้า

⁷But the house of Israel will not listen to you; for they will not listen to me: for all the house of Israel are obstinate Literally, have a hard forehead and hard-hearted.

⁷แต่วงศ์วานอิสราเอลจะไม่ยอมฟังเจ้า เพราะเขาไม่ยอมฟังเรา เพราะว่าวงศ์วานอิสราเอลทั้งสิ้นเป็นคนหัวแข็งและจิตใจดื้อดึง

⁸Behold, I have made your face hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.

⁸ดูเถิด เราได้กระทำให้หน้าของเจ้าขมึงทึงต่อหน้าของเขา และให้หน้าผากของเจ้าขึงขังต่อหน้าผากของเขา

⁹As an adamant harder than flint have I made your forehead: don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

⁹เราได้กระทำให้หน้าผากของเจ้าแข็งขันอย่างเพชรที่แข็งกว่าหินเหล็กไฟ อย่ากลัวเขาเลย อย่าท้อถอยเมื่อเห็นหน้าเขา เพราะเขาเป็นวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏ"

¹⁰Moreover he said to me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with your ears.

¹⁰พระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าอีกว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย จงรับถ้อยคำทั้งสิ้นของเราที่พูดกับเจ้าไว้ในใจของเจ้า และจงฟังไว้ด้วยหูของเจ้า

¹¹Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

¹¹ไปเถอะ เจ้าจงไปหาพวกที่เป็นเชลย คือชนชาติของเจ้านั้น จงพูดกับเขา และกล่าวแก่เขาว่า `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า' ถึงเขาจะฟังหรือปฏิเสธไม่ฟังก็ช่างเถิด"

¹²Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of Yahweh from his place.

¹²พระวิญญาณจึงยกข้าพเจ้าขึ้น และข้าพเจ้าก็ได้ยินเสียงกระหึ่มอยู่ข้างหลังข้าพเจ้าว่า "จงสรรเสริญแด่สง่าราศีของพระเยโฮวาห์ซึ่งขึ้นมาจากสถานที่ของพระองค์"

¹³I heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, even the noise of a great rushing.

¹³และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินเสียงปีกสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ที่ถูกต้องกัน และเสียงวงล้อข้างๆสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่นั้น เป็นเสียงกระหึ่ม

¹⁴So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; and the hand of Yahweh was strong on me.

¹⁴พระวิญญาณก็ยกข้าพเจ้าขึ้นและพาข้าพเจ้าไป ข้าพเจ้าก็ไปด้วยความขมขื่น ใจข้าพเจ้าเดือดร้อน พระหัตถ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ก็หนักอยู่บนข้าพเจ้า

¹⁵Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel Aviv, that lived by the river Chebar, and to where they lived; and I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days.

¹⁵ข้าพเจ้าจึงมาถึงพวกที่เป็นเชลยที่เทลอาบิบ ผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ที่ริมแม่น้ำเคบาร์ และที่ที่เขานั่งอยู่ข้าพเจ้าก็นั่งอยู่ และยังคงอยู่อย่างมึนซึมท่ามกลางเขาเจ็ดวัน

¹⁶It happened at the end of seven days, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

¹⁶ต่อมาพอสิ้นเจ็ดวัน พระวจนะแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์ก็มาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า

¹⁷Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel: therefore hear the word from my mouth, and give them warning from me.

¹⁷"บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เราได้กระทำให้เจ้าเป็นยามเฝ้าวงศ์วานอิสราเอล เจ้าได้ยินถ้อยคำจากปากของเราเมื่อไร เจ้าจงกล่าวคำตักเตือนเขาจากเรา

¹⁸When I tell the wicked, You shall surely die; and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at your hand.

¹⁸ถ้าเราจะบอกแก่คนชั่วว่า `เจ้าจะต้องตายแน่ๆ' และเจ้าไม่ตักเตือนเขาหรือกล่าวเตือนคนชั่วให้ละทิ้งทางชั่วของตนเสีย เพื่อจะช่วยชีวิตเขาให้รอด คนชั่วนั้นจะตายเพราะความชั่วช้าของเขา แต่เราจะเรียกร้องโลหิตของเขาจากมือของเจ้า

¹⁹Yet if you warn the wicked, and he doesn’t turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

¹⁹แต่ถ้าเจ้าได้ตักเตือนคนชั่วและเขามิได้หันกลับจากความชั่วของเขา หรือจากทางชั่วของเขา เขาจะตายเพราะความชั่วช้าของเขา แต่เจ้าจะได้ช่วยชีวิตของเจ้าให้รอดพ้นมาได้

²⁰Again, when a righteous man does turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at your hand.

²⁰อีกประการหนึ่ง ถ้าคนชอบธรรมหันกลับจากความชอบธรรมของเขา และได้กระทำความชั่วช้า และเราวางสิ่งที่สะดุดไว้ตรงหน้าเขา เขาจะต้องตาย เพราะว่าเจ้ามิได้ตักเตือนเขา เขาจะตายเพราะบาปของเขา และจะไม่มีใครจดจำการกระทำอันชอบธรรมของเขาไว้เลย แต่เราจะเรียกร้องโลหิตของเขาจากมือของเจ้า

²¹Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.

²¹แต่ถ้าเจ้าได้ตักเตือนคนชอบธรรมไม่ให้กระทำบาปและเขามิได้กระทำบาป เขาจะมีชีวิตอยู่ได้แน่ เพราะเขารับคำตักเตือน และเจ้าก็ได้ช่วยชีวิตของเจ้าให้รอดพ้นมาได้"

²²The hand of Yahweh was there on me; and he said to me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with you.

²²ณ ที่นั่นพระหัตถ์แห่งพระเยโฮวาห์ได้มาอยู่เหนือข้าพเจ้า และพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "จงลุกขึ้นออกไปยังที่ราบ และเราจะพูดกับเจ้าที่นั่น"

²³Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and behold, the glory of Yahweh stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.

²³ดังนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงลุกขึ้นออกไปยังที่ราบ และดูเถิด สง่าราศีของพระเยโฮวาห์ก็อยู่ที่นั่นอย่างเดียวกับสง่าราศีซึ่งข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นที่ริมแม่น้ำเคบาร์ และข้าพเจ้าก็ซบหน้าลงถึงดิน

²⁴Then the Spirit entered into me, and set me on my feet; and he spoke with me, and said to me, Go, shut yourself inside your house.

²⁴แต่พระวิญญาณได้เสด็จเข้าในข้าพเจ้ากระทำให้ข้าพเจ้ายืนขึ้น และพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้า และทรงบอกข้าพเจ้าว่า "จงไป ขังตัวเจ้าไว้ภายในเรือนของเจ้า

²⁵But you, son of man, behold, they shall lay bands on you, and shall bind you with them, and you shall not go out among them:

²⁵เจ้า บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย ดูเถิด เขาจะเอาเชือกพันเจ้า และผูกมัดเจ้าไว้ด้วยเชือกนั้น เจ้าจึงออกไปท่ามกลางเขาไม่ได้

²⁶and I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth, that you shall be mute, and shall not be to them a reprover; for they are a rebellious house.

²⁶และเราจะกระทำให้ลิ้นของเจ้าติดกับเพดานปากของเจ้า ดังนั้นเจ้าจะเป็นใบ้ ไม่สามารถว่ากล่าวเขาได้ เพราะว่าเขาทั้งหลายเป็นวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏ

²⁷But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: He who hears, let him hear; and he who forbears, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

²⁷แต่เมื่อเราพูดกับเจ้า เราจะให้เจ้าหายใบ้ และเจ้าจะกล่าวแก่เขาทั้งหลายว่า `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า' ผู้ที่จะฟังก็ให้เขาได้ฟัง ผละผู้ที่จะปฏิเสธไม่ฟังก็ให้เขาปฏิเสธ เพราะเขาทั้งหลายเป็นวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏ"
