¹In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

¹เมื่อวันที่สิบสองเดือนสิบในปีที่สิบ พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังข้าพเจ้าว่า

²“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.

²"บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย จงมุ่งหน้าของเจ้าต่อสู้ฟาโรห์กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ พยากรณ์กล่าวโทษกษัตริย์และอียิปต์ทั้งสิ้น

³Speak and say, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lies in the midst of his rivers, that has said, ‘My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.’

³พูดไปเถิดและกล่าวว่า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดูเถิด เราเป็นปฏิปักษ์กับเจ้า ฟาโรห์กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ ผู้เป็นพญานาคมหึมา นอนอยู่กลางแม่น้ำทั้งหลายของมัน ผู้กล่าวว่า `แม่น้ำของข้าก็เป็นของข้า ข้าสร้างมันขึ้นเพื่อตัวของข้าเอง'

⁴I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will make the fish of your rivers stick to your scales; and I will bring you up out of the midst of your rivers, with all the fish of your rivers which stick to your scales.

⁴เราจะเอาเบ็ดเกี่ยวขากรรไตรของเจ้า และจะกระทำให้ปลาในแม่น้ำทั้งหลายของเจ้าติดกับเกล็ดของเจ้า และเราจะลากเจ้าขึ้นมาจากกลางแม่น้ำทั้งหลายของเจ้า และบรรดาปลาในแม่น้ำทั้งหลายของเจ้าจะติดอยู่กับเกล็ดของเจ้า

⁵I’ll cast you forth into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You’ll fall on the open field. You won’t be brought together, nor gathered. I have given you for food to the animals of the earth and to the birds of the sky.

⁵เราจะเหวี่ยงเจ้าเข้าไปในถิ่นทุรกันดาร ทั้งตัวเจ้าและบรรดาปลาในแม่น้ำทั้งหลายของเจ้า เจ้าจะตกลงที่พื้นทุ่ง จะไม่มีใครรวบรวมและฝังเจ้าไว้ เราได้มอบเจ้าไว้ให้เป็นอาหารของสัตว์ป่าดินและของนกในอากาศ

⁶All the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

⁶แล้วคนที่อยู่ในอียิปต์ทั้งสิ้นจะทราบว่า เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะเจ้าเป็นไม้เท้าอ้อของวงศ์วานอิสราเอล

⁷When they took hold of you by your hand, you broke, and tore all their shoulders; and when they leaned on you, you broke, and paralyzed all of their thighs.”

⁷เมื่อเขาเอามือจับเจ้า เจ้าก็หัก และบาดบ่าของเขาทุกคน และเมื่อเขาพิงเจ้า เจ้าก็โค่น และกระทำให้บั้นเอวของเขาทุกคนสั่นหมด

⁸Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you.

⁸ดังนั้นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดูเถิด เราจะนำดาบมาเหนือเจ้า และตัดมนุษย์และสัตว์ให้ขาดจากเจ้าเสีย

⁹The land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste; and they shall know that I am Yahweh. Because he has said, ‘The river is mine, and I have made it;’

⁹แผ่นดินอียิปต์จะเป็นที่รกร้างและถูกทิ้งไว้เสียเปล่า แล้วเขาทั้งหลายจะทราบว่า เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะเขาได้กล่าวว่า `แม่น้ำเป็นของข้า และข้าสร้างมันขึ้นมา'

¹⁰therefore, behold, I am against you, and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from the tower of Seveneh even to the border of Ethiopia.

¹⁰เหตุฉะนั้น ดูเถิด เราจะต่อสู้กับเจ้า และกับแม่น้ำทั้งหลายของเจ้า เราจะกระทำให้แผ่นดินอียิปต์ถูกทิ้งไว้เสียเปล่าและรกร้างอย่างสิ้นเชิง ตั้งแต่หอคอยแห่งสิเอเนไกลไปจนถึงพรมแดนเอธิโอเปีย

¹¹No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of animal shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.

¹¹จะไม่มีเท้ามนุษย์ข้ามแผ่นดินนั้น และจะไม่มีตีนสัตว์ข้ามแผ่นดินนั้น จะไม่มีใครอาศัยอยู่ถึงสี่สิบปี

¹²I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be a desolation forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.”

¹²และเราจะกระทำให้แผ่นดินอียิปต์เป็นที่รกร้างท่ามกลางประเทศทั้งหลายที่รกร้างนั้น และหัวเมืองของมันจะรกร้างอยู่สี่สิบปีท่ามกลางหัวเมืองทั้งหลายที่ถูกทิ้งไว้เสียเปล่า เราจะให้คนอียิปต์กระจัดกระจายไปท่ามกลางประชาชาติ และจะกระจายเขาไปตามประเทศต่างๆ

¹³For thus says the Lord Yahweh: “At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they were scattered;

¹³เพราะองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า เมื่อสิ้นสี่สิบปีแล้ว เราจะรวบรวมคนอียิปต์จากท่ามกลางชนชาติทั้งหลายซึ่งเขากระจัดกระจายไปอยู่ด้วยนั้น

¹⁴and I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth; and they shall be there a base kingdom.

¹⁴และเราจะให้อียิปต์กลับสู่สภาพเดิม และนำเขากลับมายังแผ่นดินปัทโรส ซึ่งเป็นแผ่นดินดั้งเดิมของเขา และเขาทั้งหลายจะเป็นราชอาณาจักรต่ำต้อยที่นั่น

¹⁵It shall be the base of the kingdoms; neither shall it any more lift itself up above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.

¹⁵จะเป็นราชอาณาจักรที่ต่ำต้อยที่สุดในบรรดาราชอาณาจักรทั้งหลาย และจะไม่เคยยกตนขึ้นเหนือประชาชาติทั้งหลายอีกเลย เพราะเราจะทำให้เขาเป็นราชอาณาจักรเล็กจนไม่สามารถจะปกครองประชาชาติอื่นได้

¹⁶It shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to memory, when they turn to look after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”’”

¹⁶และจะไม่เป็นที่วางใจของวงศ์วานอิสราเอลอีก อันทำให้สำนึกถึงความชั่วช้าของเขาเมื่อหันไปพึ่งพาอียิปต์นี้ แล้วเขาจะทราบว่าเราคือ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้า"

¹⁷It came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

¹⁷ต่อมาเมื่อวันที่หนึ่ง เดือนที่หนึ่ง ในปีที่ยี่สิบเจ็ด พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังข้าพเจ้าว่า

¹⁸Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet had he no wages, nor his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it.

¹⁸"บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เนบูคัดเนสซาร์ กษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลนได้ให้กองทัพมาสู้รบกับเมืองไทระอย่างหนัก จนศีรษะทุกศีรษะล้าน และบ่าทุกบ่าก็ถลอก ถึงกระนั้นท่านเองหรือกองทัพของท่านก็ไม่ได้อะไรไปจากไทระอันเป็นค่าแรงซึ่งท่านได้กระทำต่อเมืองนั้น

¹⁹Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.

¹⁹เหตุฉะนั้น องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดูเถิด เราจะมอบแผ่นดินอียิปต์ไว้กับเนบูคัดเนสซาร์กษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลน และท่านจะเอาคนเป็นอันมากของเขาไปและริบข้าวของไป และปล้นเอาไปเป็นค่าจ้างกองทัพของท่าน

²⁰I have given him the land of Egypt as his recompense for which he served, because they worked for me, says the Lord Yahweh.

²⁰องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสว่า เราได้มอบแผ่นดินอียิปต์ให้ไว้แก่ท่าน เพื่อเป็นค่าแรงงานซึ่งเขาทั้งหลายได้กระทำเพื่อเรา

²¹In that day will I cause a horn to bud forth to the house of Israel, and I will give you the opening of the mouth in their midst; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

²¹ในวันนั้นเราจะกระทำให้มีเขางอกขึ้นมาที่วงศ์วานอิสราเอล และเราจะให้เจ้าอ้าปากพูดท่ามกลางเขาทั้งหลาย แล้วเขาจะทราบว่าเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์"
