1It happened in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord Yahweh fell there on me.

2Then I saw, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of fire; from the appearance of his waist and downward, fire; and from his waist and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as it were glowing metal.
2แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็มองดู และดูเถิด มีสัณฐานอย่างไฟ เบื้องล่างของส่วนที่มองเห็นเป็นเอวนั้นเป็นไฟ เหนือเอวขึ้นไปเหมือนความสุกปลั่งประหนึ่งทองสัมฤทธิ์ที่แวบวาบ
3He put forth the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and the sky, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the gate of the inner court that looks toward the north; where there was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy.
3ท่านยื่นส่วนที่มีสัณฐานเป็นมือนั้นออกมาจับผมของข้าพเจ้าปอยหนึ่ง และพระวิญญาณได้ยกข้าพเจ้าขึ้นระหว่างพิภพและสวรรค์ และนำข้าพเจ้ามาถึงเยรูซาเล็มในนิมิตของพระเจ้า มายังทางเข้าประตูด้านเหนือของลานชั้นใน ซึ่งเป็นที่ตั้งรูปของความหวงแหน ซึ่งกระทำให้บังเกิดความหวงแหน
4Behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the appearance that I saw in the plain.
4ดูเถิด สง่าราศีของพระเจ้าของอิสราเอลก็อยู่ที่นั่น เหมือนอย่างนิมิตที่ข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นในที่ราบ
5Then he said to me, Son of man, lift up your eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up my eyes the way toward the north, and see, northward of the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
5แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย บัดนี้จงเงยหน้าขึ้นไปดูทางทิศเหนือ" ข้าพเจ้าจึงเงยหน้าขึ้นมองไปดูทางทิศเหนือ และดูเถิด ทางทิศเหนือของประตูแท่นบูชาในทางเข้า รูปความหวงแหนนี้อยู่ที่นั่น
6He said to me, Son of man, do you see what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel do commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? But you shall again see yet other great abominations.
6และพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้ายิ่งกว่านั้นอีกว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เจ้าไม่เห็นหรือว่าเขาทำอะไร คือการกระทำอันน่าสะอิดสะเอียนที่ยิ่งใหญ่ซึ่งวงศ์วานอิสราเอลกระทำกันอยู่ที่นี่ ซึ่งจะทำให้เราออกไปให้ไกลจากสถานบริสุทธิ์ของเรา แต่เจ้าจงหันกลับมาอีกแล้วจะได้เห็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่านี้อีก"
7He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.
7และพระองค์ทรงนำข้าพเจ้ามาถึงประตูลาน และเมื่อข้าพเจ้ามองดู ดูเถิด ก็เห็นช่องหนึ่งอยู่ในกำแพง
8Then he said to me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had dug in the wall, behold, a door.
8แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย จงเจาะเข้าไปในกำแพง" และเมื่อข้าพเจ้าได้เจาะเข้าไปในกำแพงแล้ว ดูเถิด มีประตูอยู่ประตูหนึ่ง
9He said to me, Go in, and see the wicked abominations that they do here.
9และพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "จงเข้าไปดูสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนอันชั่วร้ายซึ่งเขากระทำกันที่นี่"
10So I went in and saw; and see, every form of creeping things, and abominable animals, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed around on the wall.
10ดังนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงเข้าไปและได้เห็น ดูเถิด มีภาพสัตว์เลื้อยคลานในทุกรูปแบบ และสัตว์ที่พึงรังเกียจและรูปเคารพทั้งสิ้นของวงศ์วานอิสราเอลปรากฏอยู่บนผนังโดยรอบ
11There stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel; and in their midst stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, every man with his censer in his hand; and the odor of the cloud of incense went up.
11และมีพวกผู้ใหญ่แห่งวงศ์วานอิสราเอลเจ็ดสิบคนยืนอยู่ข้างหน้ารูปเหล่านั้น และมียาอาซันยาห์ บุตรชายชาฟานยืนอยู่ในหมู่พวกเขาทั้งหลาย ต่างก็มีกระถางไฟอยู่ในมือ และควันหนาทึบแห่งเครื่องบูชาก็ขึ้นไปข้างบน
12Then he said to me, Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his rooms of imagery? for they say, Yahweh doesn’t see us; Yahweh has forsaken the land.
12แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เจ้าได้เห็นแล้วมิใช่หรือว่าพวกผู้ใหญ่ของวงศ์วานอิสราเอลกระทำอะไรอยู่ในที่มืด ทุกคนต่างก็อยู่ในห้องรูปภาพของตนเพราะเขาทั้งหลายพูดว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์ไม่ทอดพระเนตรเห็นเรา พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงทอดทิ้งแผ่นดินนี้เสียแล้ว'"
13He said also to me, You shall again see yet other great abominations which they do.
13พระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าด้วยว่า "เจ้าจงหันกลับมาอีกแล้วเจ้าจะเห็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนซึ่งเขากระทำยิ่งกว่านี้อีก"
14Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Yahweh’s house which was toward the north; and see, there sat the women weeping for Tammuz.
14แล้วพระองค์ทรงนำข้าพเจ้ามาถึงทางเข้าประตูพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ด้านเหนือ และดูเถิด ที่นั่นมีผู้หญิงหลายคนนั่งร้องไห้อาลัยเจ้าพ่อทัมมุส
15Then he said to me, Have you seen this, son of man? You shall again see yet greater abominations than these.
15แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เจ้าได้เห็นแล้วใช่ไหม เจ้าจงหันกลับมาอีกแล้วจะเห็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนยิ่งกว่าสิ่งเหล่านี้อีก"
16He brought me into the inner court of Yahweh’s house; and see, at the door of Yahweh’s temple, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men, with their backs toward Yahweh’s temple, and their faces toward the east; and they were worshipping the sun toward the east.
16แล้วพระองค์ทรงนำข้าพเจ้าเข้ามาในลานชั้นในแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ ดูเถิด ตรงประตูพระวิหารของพระเยโฮวาห์ ระหว่างมุขและแท่นบูชา มีชายประมาณยี่สิบห้าคนหันหลังให้พระวิหารแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์ หน้าของเขาหันไปทางทิศตะวันออก กำลังนมัสการพระอาทิตย์ตรงทิศตะวันออกนั้น
17Then he said to me, Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger: and behold, they put the branch to their nose.
17แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เจ้าได้เห็นแล้วใช่ไหม ที่วงศ์วานยูดาห์กระทำสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนซึ่งเขากระทำอยู่ที่นี่ เป็นสิ่งเล็กน้อยหรือ ด้วยว่าเขากระทำให้แผ่นดินเต็มไปด้วยความรุนแรง และกลับมายั่วยุให้เราโกรธแล้ว ดูเถิด เขาทั้งหลายเอากิ่งไม้มาแตะจมูกของเขา
18Therefore will I also deal in wrath; my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
18เพราะฉะนั้น เราจะกระทำด้วยความพิโรธ นัยน์ตาของเราจะไม่ปรานี และเราจะไม่สงสาร แม้ว่าเขาจะร้องด้วยเสียงอันดังใส่หูของเรา เราจะไม่ฟังเขา"
