1The burden of the valley of vision. What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops?

2You that are full of shouting, a tumultuous city, a joyous town; your slain are not slain with the sword, neither are they dead in battle.
2เจ้าผู้เป็นเมืองที่เต็มด้วยการโห่ร้อง เมืองที่อึกทึกครึกโครม นครที่เต้นโลด ผู้ที่ถูกฆ่าของเจ้ามิได้ถูกฆ่าด้วยดาบ หรือตายในสงคราม
3All your rulers fled away together. They were bound by the archers. All who were found by you were bound together. They fled far away.
3ผู้ครองเมืองของเจ้าทั้งหมดหนีกันไปแล้ว เขาถูกจับได้โดยนายธนู ชายฉกรรจ์ของเจ้าทุกคนถูกจับแม้ว่าเขาได้หนีไปไกลแล้ว
4Therefore I said, “Look away from me. I will weep bitterly. Don’t labor to comfort me for the destruction of the daughter of my people.

5For it is a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity, from the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, in the valley of vision; a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains.”
5เพราะองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าจอมโยธาทรงมีวันหนึ่ง เป็นวาระจลาจล วาระเหยียบย่ำ และวาระยุ่งเหยิงในที่ลุ่มแห่งนิมิต คือการพังกำแพงลงและโห่ร้องให้แก่ภูเขา
6Elam carried his quiver, with chariots of men and horsemen; and Kir uncovered the shield.
6เอลามหยิบแล่งธนู กับรถรบและพลและพลม้าและคีร์ก็เผยโล่
7It happened that your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array at the gate.
7ต่อมาที่ลุ่มที่ดีที่สุดของท่านจะเต็มไปด้วยรถรบ และพลม้าจะเข้าประจำที่ประตูเมือง
8He took away the covering of Judah; and you looked in that day to the armor in the house of the forest.
8พระองค์ทรงเอาสิ่งปิดบังยูดาห์ไปเสียแล้ว ในวันนั้นท่านได้มองที่อาวุธแห่งเรือนพนา
9You saw the breaches of the city of David, that they were many; and you gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
9ท่านได้เห็นช่องโหว่แห่งนครดาวิดว่ามีหลายแห่ง แล้วท่านทั้งหลายก็เก็บน้ำในบ่อล่าง
10You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.
10และท่านก็นับเรือนของเยรูซาเล็ม และท่านก็พังเรือนมาเสริมกำแพงเมือง
11You also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you didn’t look to him who had done this, neither did you have respect for him who purposed it long ago.
11ท่านทำที่ขับน้ำไว้ระหว่างกำแพงทั้งสองเพื่อรับน้ำของสระเก่า แต่ท่านมิได้มองดูผู้ที่ได้ทรงบันดาลเหตุ และมิได้เอาใจใส่ผู้ทรงวางแผนงานนี้ไว้นานมาแล้ว
12In that day, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, called to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to dressing in sackcloth:
12ในวันนั้นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าจอมโยธาทรงเรียกให้ร่ำไห้และคร่ำครวญ ให้มีศีรษะโล้นและให้คาดตัวด้วยผ้ากระสอบ
13and behold, joy and gladness, killing cattle and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die.”
13และ ดูเถิด มีความชื่นบานและความยินดี มีการฆ่าวัวและฆ่าแกะ มีการกินเนื้อและดื่มน้ำองุ่น "ให้เรากินและดื่มเถิด เพราะว่าพรุ่งนี้เราจะตาย"
14Yahweh of Armies revealed himself in my ears, “Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die,” says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.
14พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาได้ทรงสำแดงในหูของข้าพเจ้าว่า "แน่ทีเดียวที่จะไม่ลบความชั่วช้าอันนี้ให้เจ้า จนกว่าเจ้าจะตาย" องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าจอมโยธาตรัสดังนี้
15Thus says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, “Go, get yourself to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,
15องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าจอมโยธาตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ไปเถิด ไปหาผู้รักษาทรัพย์สมบัติคนนี้ คือไปยังเชบนาห์ ผู้ดูแลราชสำนัก และจงพูดกับเขาว่า
16‘What are you doing here? Who has you here, that you have dug out a tomb here?’ Cutting himself out a tomb on high, chiseling a habitation for himself in the rock!”
16เจ้ามีสิทธิ์อะไรที่นี่ และเจ้ามีใครอยู่ที่นี่ เจ้าจึงสกัดอุโมงค์ที่นี่เพื่อตัวเจ้าเอง ดุจคนสกัดอุโมงค์ในที่สูง และสลักที่อยู่สำหรับตนเองในศิลา
17Behold, Yahweh will overcome you and hurl you away violently. Yes, he will grasp you firmly.
17ดูเถิด พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงเหวี่ยงเจ้าออกไปให้เป็นเชลยอย่างแรง พระองค์จะทรงฉวยเจ้าให้แน่น
18He will surely wind you around and around, and throw you like a ball into a large country. There you will die, and there the chariots of your glory will be, you shame of your lord’s house.
18และม้วนเจ้า และขว้างเจ้าไปอย่างลูกบอลล์ยังแผ่นดินกว้าง เจ้าจะตายที่นั่น และที่นั่นจะมีรถรบอันตระการของเจ้า เจ้าผู้เป็นที่อดสูแก่เรือนนายของเจ้า
19I will thrust you from your office. You will be pulled down from your station.
19เราจะผลักเจ้าออกไปจากตำแหน่งของเจ้า และเจ้าจะถูกดึงลงมาจากหน้าที่ของเจ้า
20It will happen in that day that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah,
20อยู่มาในวันนั้นเราจะเรียกผู้รับใช้ของเรา คือเอลียาคิม บุตรชายฮิลคียาห์
21and I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt. I will commit your government into his hand; and he will be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
21เราจะเอาเสื้อยศของเจ้ามาสวมให้เขา และจะเอาผ้าคาดของเจ้าคาดเขาไว้ และจะมอบอำนาจปกครองของเจ้าไว้ในมือของเขา และเขาจะเป็นดังบิดาแก่ชาวเยรูซาเล็มและแก่วงศ์วานยูดาห์
22I will lay the key of the house of David on his shoulder. He will open, and no one will shut. He will shut, and no one will open.
22และเราจะวางลูกกุญแจของวังดาวิดไว้บนบ่าของเขา เขาจะเปิดและไม่มีผู้ใดปิด เขาจะปิดและไม่มีผู้ใดเปิด
23I will fasten him like a nail in a sure place. He will be for a throne of glory to his father’s house.
23และเราจะตอกเขาไว้เหมือนตอกหมุดในที่มั่นคง และเขาจะเป็นที่นั่งมีเกียรติแก่วงศ์วานบิดาของเขา
24They will hang on him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the pitchers.
24และเขาทั้งหลายจะแขวนไว้บนตัวเขาซึ่งสง่าราศีทั้งสิ้นของวงศ์วานบิดาของเขา ลูกหลานผู้สืบสาย ภาชนะเล็กๆทุกชิ้น ตั้งแต่ถ้วยจนถึงเหยือกทั้งสิ้น
25“In that day,” says Yahweh of Armies, “the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down, and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for Yahweh has spoken it.”
25พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาตรัสว่า ในวันนั้นหมุดที่ปักแน่นอยู่ในที่มั่นจะหลุด มันจะถูกโค่นลงและตกลงมา และภาระที่อยู่บนนั้นจะถูกขจัดออก เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ตรัสไว้แล้ว"
