¹Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley of those who are overcome with wine!

¹วิบัติแก่มงกุฎอันโอ่อ่า แก่คนขี้เมาแห่งเอฟราอิม ซึ่งความงามอันรุ่งเรืองของเขาเหมือนดอกไม้ที่กำลังร่วงโรย ซึ่งอยู่บนยอดเขาในที่ลุ่มอันอุดมของบรรดาผู้ที่เหล้าองุ่นมีชัย

²Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one. Like a storm of hail, a destroying storm, and like a storm of mighty waters overflowing, he will cast them down to the earth with his hand.

²ดูเถิด องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงมีผู้หนึ่งที่มีกำลังและแข็งแรง เหมือนพายุลูกเห็บ อันเป็นพายุทำลาย เหมือนพายุน้ำที่กำลังไหลท่วม ซึ่งจะเหวี่ยงลงถึงดินด้วยพระหัตถ์

³The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden under foot.

³มงกุฎอันโอ่อ่า คือคนขี้เมาแห่งเอฟราอิม จะถูกเหยียบอยู่ใต้เท้า

⁴The fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley, shall be like the first-ripe fig before the summer; which someone picks and eats as soon as he sees it.

⁴และความงามอันรุ่งโรจน์ของเขา ซึ่งอยู่บนยอดเขาในที่ลุ่มอันอุดม จะเป็นดอกไม้ที่กำลังร่วงโรย จะเป็นเหมือนผลที่แรกสุกก่อนฤดูร้อน เมื่อคนเห็นเข้าก็กินมันเสียพอถึงมือเขาเท่านั้น

⁵In that day, Yahweh of Armies will become a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the residue of his people;

⁵ในวันนั้น พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา จะเป็นมงกุฎแห่งสง่าราศี และเป็นมงกุฎแห่งความงาม แก่คนที่เหลืออยู่แห่งชนชาติของพระองค์

⁶and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

⁶และเป็นวิญญาณแห่งความยุติธรรมแก่เขาผู้นั่งพิพากษา และเป็นกำลังของผู้เหล่านั้นผู้หันการสงครามกลับเสียที่ประตูเมือง

⁷They also reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink. The priest and the prophet reel with strong drink. They are swallowed up by wine. They stagger with strong drink. They err in vision. They stumble in judgment.

⁷เขาเหล่านี้ซมซานไปด้วยเหล้าองุ่นเหมือนกัน และโซเซไปด้วยเมรัย ปุโรหิตและผู้พยากรณ์ก็ซมซานไปด้วยเมรัย เขาทั้งหลายถูกกลืนไปหมดด้วยเหล้าองุ่น เขาโซเซไปด้วยเมรัย เขาเห็นผิดไป เขาสะดุดในการให้คำพิพากษา

⁸For all tables are completely full of filthy vomit and filthiness.

⁸เพราะสำรับทุกสำรับก็มีอาเจียนและความโสโครกเต็ม ไม่มีที่ใดที่สะอาด

⁹Whom will he teach knowledge? To whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts?

⁹เขาจะสอนความรู้ให้แก่ใคร เขาจะให้ผู้ใดเข้าใจหลักคำสอน ให้แก่คนเหล่านั้นที่หย่านมหรือ หรือให้แก่คนเอามาจากอก

¹⁰For it is precept on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little.

¹⁰เพราะเป็นข้อบังคับซ้อนข้อบังคับ ข้อบังคับซ้อนข้อบังคับ บรรทัดซ้อนบรรทัด บรรทัดซ้อนบรรทัด ที่นี่นิด ที่นั่นหน่อย

¹¹But he will speak to this nation with stammering lips and in another language;

¹¹เปล่า แต่พระองค์จะตรัสกับชนชาตินี้โดยต่างภาษาและโดยริมฝีปากของคนต่างด้าว

¹²to whom he said, “This is the resting place. Give rest to weary”; and “This is the refreshing”; yet they would not hear.

¹²คือแก่บรรดาผู้ที่พระองค์ตรัสว่า "นี่คือการหยุดพัก จงให้การหยุดพักแก่คนเหน็ดเหนื่อย และนี่คือการพักผ่อน" ถึงกระนั้นเขาก็จะไม่ฟัง

¹³Therefore the word of Yahweh will be to them precept on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little; that they may go, fall backward, be broken, be snared, and be taken.

¹³เพราะฉะนั้นพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์จึงเป็นอย่างนี้แก่เขา เป็นข้อบังคับซ้อนข้อบังคับ ข้อบังคับซ้อนข้อบังคับ เป็นบรรทัดซ้อนบรรทัด บรรทัดซ้อนบรรทัด ที่นี่นิด ที่นั่นหน่อย เพื่อเขาจะไปและถอยหลัง และจะแตก และจะติดบ่วงและจะถูกจับไป

¹⁴Therefore hear the word of Yahweh, you scoffers, that rule this people in Jerusalem:

¹⁴เพราะฉะนั้นเจ้าทั้งหลายคนมักเยาะเย้ยเอ๋ย จงฟังพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ คือเจ้าผู้ปกครองชนชาตินี้ในเยรูซาเล็ม

¹⁵“Because you have said, ‘We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. are we in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it won’t come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood.’”

¹⁵เพราะเจ้าทั้งหลายได้กล่าวแล้วว่า "เราได้กระทำพันธสัญญาไว้กับความตาย และเราทำความตกลงไว้กับนรก เมื่อภัยพิบัติอันท่วมท้นผ่านไป จะไม่มาถึงเรา เพราะเราทำให้ความเท็จเป็นที่ลี้ภัยของเรา และเราได้กำบังอยู่ในความมุสา"

¹⁶Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh, “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily.

¹⁶เพราะฉะนั้นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ดูเถิด เราวางศิลาไว้ในศิโยนเพื่อเป็นรากฐาน คือศิลาที่ทดสอบแล้ว เป็นศิลามุมเอกอย่างประเสริฐ เป็นรากฐานอันมั่นคง เขาผู้นั้นที่เชื่อจะไม่รีบร้อน

¹⁷I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plumb line. The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place.

¹⁷และเราจะกระทำความยุติธรรมให้เป็นเชือกวัด และความชอบธรรมให้เป็นลูกดิ่ง และลูกเห็บจะกวาดเอาความเท็จอันเป็นที่ลี้ภัยไปเสีย และน้ำจะท่วมท้นที่กำบัง"

¹⁸Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trampled down by it.

¹⁸แล้วพันธสัญญาของเจ้ากับความตายจะเป็นโมฆะ และข้อตกลงของเจ้ากับนรกจะไม่ดำรง เมื่อภัยพิบัติอันท่วมท้นผ่านไป เจ้าจะถูกเหยียบย่ำลงด้วยโทษนั้น

¹⁹As often as it passes through, it will seize you; for morning by morning it will pass through, by day and by night; and it will be nothing but terror to understand the message.”

¹⁹มันผ่านไปบ่อยเท่าใด มันก็จะเอาตัวเจ้า เพราะมันจะผ่านไปเช้าแล้วเช้าเล่า ทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืน เมื่อเข้าใจข่าว ก็จะเกิดแต่ความสยดสยองเท่านั้น

²⁰For the bed is too short to stretch out on, and the blanket is too narrow to wrap oneself in.

²⁰เพราะที่นอนนั้นสั้นเกินที่คนหนึ่งคนใดจะเหยียดอยู่บนนั้น และผ้าห่มก็แคบไม่พอคลุมตัว

²¹For Yahweh will rise up as on Mount Perazim. He will be angry as in the valley of Gibeon; that he may do his work, his unusual work, and bring to pass his act, his extraordinary act.

²¹เพราะว่าพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงลุกขึ้นอย่างที่บนภูเขาเปริซิม พระองค์จะพระพิโรธอย่างที่ในหุบเขากิเบโอน เพื่อกระทำพระราชกิจของพระองค์ พระราชกิจของพระองค์นั้นประหลาด และเพื่อกระทำงานของพระองค์ งานของพระองค์ก็แปลก

²²Now therefore don’t be scoffers, lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, on the whole earth.

²²เพราะฉะนั้นบัดนี้อย่าเป็นคนเยาะเย้ย เกลือกว่าพันธะของเจ้าจะเข้มงวดขึ้น เพราะข้าพเจ้าได้ยินกฤษฎีกากำหนดการทำลายเหนือแผ่นดินทั้งสิ้นแล้ว จากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าจอมโยธา

²³Give ear, and hear my voice! Listen, and hear my speech!

²³เงี่ยหูลงซิ และฟังเสียงข้าพเจ้า สดับซี และฟังคำพูดของข้าพเจ้า

²⁴Does he who plows to sow plow continually? Does he keep turning the soil and breaking the clods?

²⁴เขาผู้ไถนาเพื่อหว่าน ไถอยู่เสมอหรือ เขาเบิกดินและคราดอยู่เป็นนิตย์หรือ

²⁵When he has leveled its surface, doesn’t he plant the dill, and scatter the cumin seed, and put in the wheat in rows, the barley in the appointed place, and the spelt in its place?

²⁵เมื่อเขาปราบผิวลงแล้ว เขาไม่หว่านเทียนแดงและยี่หร่า เขาไม่ใส่ข้าวสาลีเป็นแถว และข้าวบารลีในที่อันเหมาะของมัน และหว่านข้าวสแปลต์ไว้เป็นคันแดนหรือ

²⁶For his God instructs him in right judgment, and teaches him.

²⁶เพราะพระเจ้าของเขาทรงสั่งสอนเขาถูกต้อง พระองค์ได้สอนเขา

²⁷For the dill are not threshed with a sharp instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned over the cumin; but the dill is beaten out with a stick, and the cumin with a rod.

²⁷เขาไม่นวดเทียนแดงด้วยเลื่อนนวดข้าว และเขาไม่เอาล้อเกวียนกลิ้งทับยี่หร่า แต่เขาเอาไม้พลองตีเทียนแดงให้หลุดออก และเอาตะบองตียี่หร่า

²⁸Bread flour must be ground; so he will not always be threshing it. Although he drives the wheel of his threshing cart over it, his horses don’t grind it.

²⁸คนใดบดข้าวที่ทำขนมปังหรือ เปล่าเลย เขาไม่นวดมันเป็นนิตย์ เมื่อเขาขับล้อเกวียนเทียมม้าทับมันแล้ว เขามิได้บดมันด้วยคนขี่ม้า

²⁹This also comes forth from Yahweh of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.

²⁹เรื่องนี้มาจากพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาด้วย พระองค์มหัศจรรย์นักในการปรึกษา และวิเศษในเรื่องการกระทำ
