¹“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.

¹พระเจ้าของเจ้าตรัสว่า "จงเล้าโลม จงเล้าโลมชนชาติของเรา

²“Speak comfortably to Jerusalem; and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of Yahweh’s hand double for all her sins.”

²จงพูดกับเยรูซาเล็มอย่างเห็นใจ และจงประกาศแก่เมืองนั้นว่า การสงครามของเธอสิ้นสุดลงแล้ว และความชั่วช้าของเธอก็อภัยเสียแล้ว เพราะเธอได้รับโทษจากพระหัตถ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์แล้ว เป็นสองเท่าของความบาปผิดของเธอ"

³The voice of one who calls out, “Prepare the way of Yahweh in the wilderness! Make a level highway in the desert for our God.

³เสียงผู้ร้องในถิ่นทุรกันดารว่า "จงเตรียมมรรคาแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์ จงทำทางหลวงสำหรับพระเจ้าของเราให้ตรงไปในทะเลทราย

⁴Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain.

⁴หุบเขาทุกแห่งจะถูกยกขึ้น ภูเขาและเนินทุกแห่งจะให้ต่ำลง ทางคดจะกลายเป็นทางตรง และที่ขรุขระจะกลายเป็นที่ราบ

⁵The glory of Yahweh shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.”

⁵และจะเผยสง่าราศีของพระเยโฮวาห์ และบรรดาเนื้อหนังจะได้เห็นด้วยกัน เพราะพระโอษฐ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสไว้แล้ว"

⁶The voice of one saying, “Cry!” One said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.

⁶เสียงหนึ่งร้องว่า "ร้องซิ" และเขาว่า "ข้าจะร้องว่ากระไร" บรรดาเนื้อหนังก็เป็นเสมือนต้นหญ้า และความงามทั้งสิ้นของมันก็เป็นเสมือนดอกไม้แห่งทุ่งนา

⁷The grass withers, the flower fades, because Yahweh’s breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass.

⁷ต้นหญ้าเหี่ยวแห้งไป ดอกไม้นั้นก็ร่วงโรยไป เพราะพระวิญญาณของพระเยโฮวาห์เป่ามาถูกมัน มนุษย์ชาติเป็นหญ้าแน่ทีเดียว

⁸The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever.”

⁸ต้นหญ้าเหี่ยวแห้งไป ดอกไม้นั้นก็ร่วงโรยไป แต่พระวจนะของพระเจ้าของเราจะยั่งยืนอยู่เป็นนิตย์

⁹You who tell good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who tell good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength. Lift it up. Don’t be afraid. Say to the cities of Judah, “Behold, your God!”

⁹โอ ศิโยนเอ๋ย ผู้นำข่าวดี เจ้าจงขึ้นไปบนภูเขาสูง โอ เยรูซาเล็มเอ๋ย ผู้นำข่าวดี จงเปล่งเสียงของเจ้าด้วยเต็มกำลัง จงเปล่งเสียงเถิด อย่ากลัวเลย จงกล่าวแก่หัวเมืองแห่งยูดาห์ว่า "ดูเถิด นี่พระเจ้าของเจ้า"

¹⁰Behold, the Lord Yahweh will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

¹⁰ดูเถิด องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าจะเสด็จมาด้วยพระหัตถ์อันเข้มแข็ง และพระกรของพระองค์จะครอบครองเพื่อพระองค์ ดูเถิด รางวัลของพระองค์ก็อยู่กับพระองค์ และพระราชกิจของพระองค์ก็อยู่ต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์

¹¹He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.

¹¹พระองค์จะทรงเลี้ยงฝูงแพะแกะของพระองค์อย่างผู้เลี้ยงแกะ พระองค์จะทรงรวบรวมลูกแกะไว้ในพระกรของพระองค์ พระองค์จะทรงอุ้มไว้ที่พระทรวง และทรงค่อยๆนำบรรดาที่มีลูกอ่อนไป

¹²Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

¹²ผู้ใดได้เคยตวงน้ำทั้งสิ้นด้วยอุ้งมือของตน และวัดฟ้าสวรรค์ด้วยคืบเดียว บรรจุผงคลีของแผ่นดินโลกไว้ในถังเดียว และชั่งภูเขาในตาชั่งและชั่งเนินด้วยตราชู

¹³Who has directed the Spirit of Yahweh, or has taught him as his counselor?

¹³ผู้ใดได้นำทางพระวิญญาณของพระเยโฮวาห์ หรือเป็นที่ปรึกษาของพระองค์ได้สั่งสอนพระองค์

¹⁴Who did he take counsel with, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?

¹⁴พระองค์ทรงปรึกษาผู้ใด ผู้ใดสั่งสอนพระองค์ และผู้ใดสอนทางแห่งความยุติธรรมให้พระองค์ และสอนความรู้แก่พระองค์ และสำแดงให้พระองค์เห็นทางแห่งความเข้าใจ

¹⁵Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing.

¹⁵ดูเถิด บรรดาประชาชาติก็เหมือนน้ำหยดหนึ่งจากถัง และนับว่าเหมือนผงบนตาชั่ง ดูเถิด พระองค์ทรงหยิบเกาะทั้งหลายขึ้นมาเหมือนสิ่งเล็กน้อย

¹⁶Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its animals sufficient for a burnt offering.

¹⁶เลบานอนไม่พอเป็นฟืน และสัตว์ป่านั้นก็ไม่พอเป็นเครื่องเผาบูชา

¹⁷All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity.

¹⁷ต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์บรรดาประชาชาติทั้งสิ้นก็เหมือนไม่มีอะไรเลย พระองค์ทรงนับว่าเขาน้อยยิ่งกว่าศูนย์และศูนยภาพ

¹⁸To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to him?

¹⁸ท่านจะเปรียบพระเจ้าเหมือนผู้ใด หรือเปรียบพระองค์คล้ายกับอะไร

¹⁹A workman has cast an image, and the goldsmith overlays it with gold, and casts silver chains for it.

¹⁹รูปเคารพสลักน่ะหรือ ช่างเขาหล่อมันไว้ ช่างทองเอาทองคำปิดไว้และหล่อสร้อยเงินให้

²⁰He who is too impoverished for such an offering chooses a tree that will not rot. He seeks a skillful workman to set up an engraved image for him that will not be moved.

²⁰เขาผู้ที่ยากจนจนเขาไม่มีเครื่องบูชาเลยก็เลือกต้นไม้ที่จะไม่ผุ เขาเสาะหาช่างที่มีฝีมือมาตบแต่งให้เป็นรูปเคารพสลักที่ไม่หวั่นไหว

²¹Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard, yet? Haven’t you been told from the beginning? Haven’t you understood from the foundations of the earth?

²¹ท่านทั้งหลายไม่เคยรู้หรือ ท่านไม่เคยได้ยินหรือ ไม่มีผู้ใดบอกท่านตั้งแต่แรกแล้วหรือ ท่านไม่เข้าใจตั้งแต่รากฐานของแผ่นดินโลกหรือ

²²It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;

²²คือพระองค์ผู้ประทับเหนือปริมณฑลของแผ่นดินโลก และชาวแผ่นดินโลกก็เหมือนอย่างตั๊กแตน ผู้ทรงขึงฟ้าสวรรค์เหมือนขึงม่าน และกางออกเหมือนเต็นท์ที่อาศัย

²³who brings princes to nothing; who makes the judges of the earth like meaningless.

²³ผู้ทรงกระทำเจ้านายให้เป็นเหมือนเปล่า และทรงกระทำให้ผู้ครอบครองแผ่นดินโลกเป็นเหมือนศูนยภาพ

²⁴They are planted scarcely. They are sown scarcely. Their stock has scarcely taken root in the ground. He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble.

²⁴พอปลูกเขาเหล่านั้นเสร็จ พอหว่านเสร็จ พอที่รากหยั่งลง พระองค์ก็จะเป่ามาบนเขา เขาก็จะเหี่ยวแห้งไป และลมบ้าหมูก็จะพัดพาเขาไปเหมือนตอข้าว

²⁵“To whom then will you liken me? Who is my equal?” says the Holy One.

²⁵องค์บริสุทธิ์ตรัสว่า "เจ้าจะเปรียบเรากับผู้ใดเล่าซึ่งเราจะเหมือนเขา"

²⁶Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these, who brings out their army by number. He calls them all by name. by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power, Not one is lacking.

²⁶จงแหงนหน้าขึ้นดูว่า ผู้ใดสร้างสิ่งเหล่านี้ พระองค์ผู้ทรงนำบริวารออกมาตามจำนวน เรียกชื่อมันทั้งหมดโดยอานุภาพอันยิ่งใหญ่ของพระองค์ และเพราะพระองค์ทรงฤทธิ์เข้มแข็งจึงไม่ขาดไปสักดวงเดียว

²⁷Why do you say, Jacob, and speak, Israel, “My way is hidden from Yahweh, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God?”

²⁷โอ ยาโคบเอ๋ย ทำไมเจ้าจึงว่า โอ อิสราเอลเอ๋ย ทำไมจึงพูดว่า "ทางของข้าพเจ้าปิดบังไว้จากพระเยโฮวาห์ และความยุติธรรมอันควรตกแก่ข้าพเจ้านั้นก็ผ่านพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าไปเสีย"

²⁸Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, The Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

²⁸ท่านไม่เคยรู้หรือ ท่านไม่เคยได้ยินหรือ พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเป็นพระเจ้าเนืองนิตย์ คือพระผู้สร้างที่สุดปลายแผ่นดินโลก พระองค์มิได้ทรงอ่อนเปลี้ย หรือเหน็ดเหนื่อย ความเข้าพระทัยของพระองค์ก็เหลือที่จะหยั่งรู้ได้

²⁹He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.

²⁹พระองค์ทรงประทานกำลังแก่คนอ่อนเปลี้ย และแก่ผู้ที่ไม่มีกำลัง พระองค์ทรงเพิ่มแรง

³⁰Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;

³⁰แม้คนหนุ่มๆจะอ่อนเปลี้ยและเหน็ดเหนื่อย และชายฉกรรจ์จะล้มลงทีเดียว

³¹But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

³¹แต่เขาทั้งหลายผู้รอคอยพระเยโฮวาห์จะเสริมเรี่ยวแรงใหม่ เขาจะบินขึ้นด้วยปีกเหมือนนกอินทรี เขาจะวิ่งและไม่เหน็ดเหนื่อย เขาจะเดินและไม่อ่อนเปลี้ย
