¹“Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delights— I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.

¹จงดูผู้รับใช้ของเรา ผู้ซึ่งเราเชิดชู ผู้เลือกสรรของเรา ผู้ซึ่งใจเราปีติยินดี เราได้เอาวิญญาณของเราสวมท่านไว้แล้ว ท่านจะส่งความยุติธรรมออกไปให้แก่บรรดาประชาชาติ

²He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.

²ท่านจะไม่ร้องหรือเปล่งเสียงของท่าน หรือกระทำให้ได้ยินเสียงของท่านตามถนน

³He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice.

³ไม้อ้อช้ำแล้วท่านจะไม่หัก และไส้ตะเกียงที่ลุกริบหรี่อยู่ท่านจะไม่ดับ ท่านจะส่งความยุติธรรมออกไปด้วยความจริง

⁴He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and the islands will wait for his law.”

⁴ท่านจะไม่ล้มเหลวหรือท้อแท้จนกว่าท่านจะสถาปนาความยุติธรรมไว้ในโลก และเกาะทั้งหลายจะรอคอยพระราชบัญญัติของท่าน

⁵Thus says God Yahweh, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it.

⁵พระเจ้า คือ พระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ทรงสร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และทรงขึงมัน ผู้ทรงแผ่แผ่นดินโลกและสิ่งที่บังเกิดจากโลกออกไป ผู้ทรงประทานลมหายใจแก่ประชาชนที่บนโลก และจิตวิญญาณแก่ผู้ดำเนินอยู่บนโลก ตรัสดังนี้ว่า

⁶“I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations;

⁶"เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์ เราได้เรียกเจ้ามาด้วยความชอบธรรม เราจะยุดมือเจ้าและจะรักษาเจ้าไว้ เราจะให้เจ้าเป็นตัวพันธสัญญาของมนุษยชาติ เป็นความสว่างแก่บรรดาประชาชาติ

⁷to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison.

⁷เพื่อเบิกตาคนที่ตาบอด เพื่อนำผู้ถูกจำจองออกมาจากคุก นำผู้ที่นั่งในความมืดออกมาจากเรือนจำ

⁸“I am Yahweh. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images.

⁸เราคือเยโฮวาห์ นั่นเป็นนามของเรา สง่าราศีของเรา เรามิได้ให้แก่ผู้อื่น หรือให้คำที่สรรเสริญเราแก่รูปแกะสลัก

⁹Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up.”

⁹ดูเถิด สิ่งล่วงแล้วนั้นก็สำเร็จแล้ว และเราก็แจ้งสิ่งใหม่ๆ ก่อนที่สิ่งเหล่านั้นจะเกิดขึ้นเราก็ได้เล่าให้ฟังแล้ว"

¹⁰Sing to Yahweh a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is therein, the islands and their inhabitants.

¹⁰จงร้องเพลงบทใหม่ถวายพระเยโฮวาห์ จงสรรเสริญพระองค์จากปลายแผ่นดินโลก ทั้งผู้ที่ลงไปยังทะเล และบรรดาสิ่งที่อยู่ในนั้น ทั้งเกาะทั้งหลายและชาวถิ่นนั้น

¹¹Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices, with the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains!

¹¹จงให้ถิ่นทุรกันดารและหัวเมืองในนั้นเปล่งเสียง ทั้งชนบทที่เคดาร์อาศัยอยู่ จงให้ชาวศิลาร้องเพลง ให้เขาโห่ร้องมาจากยอดภูเขา

¹²Let them give glory to Yahweh, and declare his praise in the islands.

¹²จงให้เขาถวายสง่าราศีแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ และถวายสรรเสริญพระองค์ในเกาะทั้งหลาย

¹³Yahweh will go out like a mighty man. He will stir up zeal like a man of war. He will raise a war cry. Yes, he will shout aloud. He will triumph over his enemies.

¹³พระเยโฮวาห์จะเสด็จออกไปอย่างคนแกล้วกล้า พระองค์จะทรงเร้าความหึงหวงของพระองค์ขึ้นอย่างนักรบ พระองค์จะทรงร้อง พระองค์จะทรงโห่ดัง พระองค์จะทรงมีชัยต่อศัตรูของพระองค์

¹⁴“I have been silent a long time. I have been quiet and restrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant.

¹⁴เราได้นิ่งอยู่นานแล้ว เราเงียบอยู่และรั้งตนเองไว้ บัดนี้เราจะร้องออกมาเหมือนผู้หญิงกำลังคลอดบุตร เราจะสังหารผลาญและทำลายสิ้นทันที

¹⁵I will destroy mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs. I will make the rivers islands, and will dry up the pools.

¹⁵เราจะทิ้งภูเขาและเนินให้ร้าง และให้บรรดาพืชผักบนนั้นแห้งไป เราจะให้แม่น้ำกลายเป็นเกาะ และจะให้สระแห้งไป

¹⁶I will bring the blind by a way that they don’t know. I will lead them in paths that they don’t know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them.

¹⁶เราจะจูงคนตาบอดไปในทางที่เขาทั้งหลายไม่รู้จัก เราจะนำเขาไปในทางทั้งหลายที่เขาไม่รู้จัก เราจะให้ความมืดข้างหน้าเขากลับเป็นสว่าง สิ่งที่คดให้ตรง สิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นสิ่งที่เราจะกระทำแก่พวกเขา และเราจะไม่ละทิ้งพวกเขา

¹⁷“Those who trust in engraved images, who tell molten images, ‘You are our gods’ will be turned back. They will be utterly disappointed.

¹⁷เขาทั้งหลายจะหันกลับ และจะต้องขายหน้าอย่างที่สุด คือผู้ที่วางใจในรูปแกะสลัก ผู้ที่กล่าวแก่รูปเคารพหล่อว่า "ท่านเป็นพระของเรา"

¹⁸“Hear, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see.

¹⁸ท่านผู้หูหนวกเอ๋ย ฟังซิ และท่านผู้ตาบอดเอ๋ย มองซิ เพื่อท่านจะเห็นได้

¹⁹Who is blind, but my servant? Or who is as deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is as blind as he who is at peace, and as blind as Yahweh’s servant?

¹⁹ใครเป็นคนตาบอด ก็ผู้รับใช้ของเราน่ะซิ หรือใครหูหนวกอย่างกับทูตของเราที่เราใช้ไป ใครตาบอดอย่างผู้ที่สมบูรณ์แล้ว หรือตาบอดอย่างผู้รับใช้ของพระเยโฮวาห์

²⁰You see many things, but don’t observe. His ears are open, but he doesn’t listen.

²⁰เจ้าเห็นหลายอย่าง แต่มิได้สังเกต หูของเขาเปิดแล้ว แต่เขามิได้ยิน

²¹It pleased Yahweh, for his righteousness’ sake, to magnify the law, and make it honorable.

²¹เพราะเห็นแก่ความชอบธรรมของพระองค์ พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงพอพระทัย ที่จะเชิดชูพระราชบัญญัติและกระทำให้พระราชบัญญัตินั้นมีเกียรติ

²²But this is a robbed and plundered people. All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prisons. They have become a prey, and no one delivers; and a spoil, and no one says, ‘Restore them!’

²²แต่นี่เป็นชนชาติที่ถูกขโมยและถูกปล้น เขาทุกคนติดอยู่ในรูและซ่อนอยู่ในคุก เขาตกเป็นเหยื่อซึ่งไม่มีผู้ใดช่วยให้พ้น เป็นของริบซึ่งไม่มีผู้ใดพูดว่า "คืนซิ"

²³Who is there among you who will give ear to this? Who will listen and hear for the time to come?

²³ผู้ใดในพวกเจ้าจะเงี่ยหูฟังในเรื่องนี้ ที่จะมุ่งหน้าตั้งใจฟังในอนาคต

²⁴Who gave Jacob as plunder, and Israel to the robbers? Didn’t Yahweh, he against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in his ways, and they disobeyed his law.

²⁴ใครมอบยาโคบให้แก่ผู้ริบ และอิสราเอลให้แก่ผู้ปล้น ไม่ใช่พระเยโฮวาห์หรือ ผู้ซึ่งเราได้ทำบาปต่อ ซึ่งเขาไม่ยอมดำเนินในทางของพระองค์ และซึ่งเขามิได้เชื่อฟังพระราชบัญญัติของพระองค์

²⁵Therefore he poured the fierceness of his anger on him, and the strength of battle; and it set him on fire all around, but he didn’t know; and it burned him, but he didn’t take it to heart.”

²⁵ฉะนั้นพระองค์จึงทรงหลั่งความโกรธจัดลงมาบนเขา และหลั่งอานุภาพของสงคราม ทำให้เขาติดเพลิงอยู่โดยรอบ แต่เขาไม่รู้ มันไหม้เขา แต่เขามิได้เอาใจใส่
