¹The third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there.

²Jesus also was invited, with his disciples, to the marriage.

²พระเยซูและสาวกของพระองค์ได้รับเชิญไปในงานนั้น

³When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine.”

³เมื่อน้ำองุ่นหมดแล้ว มารดาของพระเยซูทูลพระองค์ว่า "เขาไม่มีน้ำองุ่น"

⁴Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come.”

⁴พระเยซูตรัสกับนางว่า "หญิงเอ๋ย นั่นเป็นธุระอะไรของท่านและของข้าพเจ้า เวลาของข้าพเจ้ายังไม่มาถึง"

⁵His mother said to the servants, “Whatever he says to you, do it.”

⁵มารดาของพระองค์จึงบอกพวกคนใช้ว่า "ท่านจะสั่งพวกเจ้าให้ทำสิ่งใด ก็จงกระทำตามเถิด"

⁶Now there were six water pots of stone set there after the Jews’ way of purifying, containing two or three metretes 2 to 3 metretes is about 20 to 30 U. S. Gallons, or 75 to 115 litres. apiece.

⁷Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” They filled them up to the brim.

⁸He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the ruler of the feast.” So they took it.

⁸แล้วพระองค์ตรัสสั่งเขาว่า "จงตักเอาไปให้เจ้าภาพเถิด" เขาก็เอาไปให้

⁹When the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn’t know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast called the bridegroom,

⁹เมื่อเจ้าภาพชิมน้ำที่กลายเป็นน้ำองุ่นแล้ว และไม่รู้ว่ามาจากไหน (แต่คนใช้ที่ตักน้ำนั้นรู้) เจ้าภาพจึงเรียกเจ้าบ่าวมา

¹⁰and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests have drunk freely, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now!”

¹⁰และพูดกับเขาว่า "ใครๆเขาก็เอาน้ำองุ่นอย่างดีมาให้ก่อน และเมื่อได้ดื่มกันมากแล้วจึงเอาที่ไม่สู้ดีมา แต่ท่านเก็บน้ำองุ่นอย่างดีไว้จนถึงบัดนี้"

¹¹This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

¹¹การอัศจรรย์ครั้งแรกนี้พระเยซูได้ทรงกระทำที่บ้านคานาแคว้นกาลิลี และได้ทรงสำแดงสง่าราศีของพระองค์ และสาวกของพระองค์ก็ได้เชื่อในพระองค์

¹²After this, he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples; and they stayed there a few days.

¹²ภายหลังเหตุการณ์นี้พระองค์ก็เสด็จลงไปยังเมืองคาเปอรนาอุม พร้อมกับมารดาและน้องชายและสาวกของพระองค์ และอยู่ที่นั่นเพียงไม่กี่วัน

¹³The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

¹³เทศกาลปัสกาของพวกยิวใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว และพระเยซูเสด็จขึ้นไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม

¹⁴He found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting.

¹⁴ในพระวิหารพระองค์ทรงพบคนขายวัว ขายแกะ ขายนกเขา และคนรับแลกเงินนั่งอยู่

¹⁵He made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables.

¹⁵เมื่อพระองค์ทรงเอาเชือกทำเป็นแส้ พระองค์ทรงไล่คนเหล่านั้น พร้อมกับแกะและวัวออกไปจากพระวิหาร และทรงเทเงินของคนรับแลกเงินและคว่ำโต๊ะ

¹⁶To those who sold the doves, he said, “Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”

¹⁶และพระองค์ตรัสแก่บรรดาคนขายนกเขาว่า "จงเอาของเหล่านี้ไปเสีย อย่าทำพระนิเวศของพระบิดาเราให้เป็นที่ค้าขาย"

¹⁷His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will eat me up.” Psalm 69:9

¹⁷พวกสาวกของพระองค์ก็ระลึกขึ้นได้ถึงคำที่เขียนไว้ว่า `ความร้อนใจในเรื่องพระนิเวศของพระองค์ได้ท่วมท้นข้าพระองค์'

¹⁸The Jews therefore answered him, “What sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things?”

¹⁸พวกยิวจึงทูลพระองค์ว่า "ท่านจะแสดงหมายสำคัญอะไรให้เราเห็น ว่าท่านมีอำนาจกระทำการเช่นนี้ได้"

¹⁹Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

¹⁹พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบเขาทั้งหลายว่า "ทำลายวิหารนี้เสีย แล้วเราจะยกขึ้นในสามวัน"

²⁰The Jews therefore said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple! Will you raise it up in three days?”

²⁰พวกยิวจึงทูลว่า "พระวิหารนี้เขาสร้างถึงสี่สิบหกปีจึงสำเร็จ และท่านจะยกขึ้นใหม่ในสามวันหรือ"

²¹But he spoke of the temple of his body.

²¹แต่พระวิหารที่พระองค์ตรัสถึงนั้นคือพระกายของพระองค์

²²When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

²²เหตุฉะนั้นเมื่อพระองค์ทรงเป็นขึ้นมาจากความตายแล้ว พวกสาวกของพระองค์ก็ระลึกได้ว่าพระองค์ได้ตรัสดังนี้ไว้แก่เขา และเขาก็เชื่อพระคัมภีร์และพระดำรัสที่พระเยซูได้ตรัสแล้วนั้น

²³Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, observing his signs which he did.

²³เมื่อพระองค์ประทับ ณ กรุงเยรูซาเล็มในวันเลี้ยงเทศกาลปัสกานั้น มีคนเป็นอันมากได้เชื่อในพระนามของพระองค์ เมื่อเขาได้เห็นการอัศจรรย์ที่พระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำ

²⁴But Jesus didn’t trust himself to them, because he knew everyone,

²⁴แต่พระเยซูมิได้ทรงวางพระทัยในคนเหล่านั้น เพราะพระองค์ทรงรู้จักมนุษย์ทุกคน

²⁵and because he didn’t need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.

²⁵และไม่มีความจำเป็นที่จะมีพยานในเรื่องมนุษย์ ด้วยพระองค์เองทรงทราบว่าอะไรมีอยู่ในมนุษย์
