2The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, How are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!
2บุตรชายผู้ประเสริฐของกรุงศิโยนมีค่าเปรียบได้กับทองคำเนื้อดีนั้น ถูกตีราคาเพียงเท่าหม้อดินที่ปั้นขึ้นด้วยมือของช่างหม้อเท่านั้นหนอ
3Even the jackals draw out the breast, they nurse their young ones: The daughter of my people has become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.
3แม้แต่สัตว์ประหลาดทะเลยังได้เอานมออกให้ลูกของมันดูด แต่ธิดาแห่งชนชาติของข้าพเจ้าก็ใจร้าย ดุจนกกระจอกเทศในถิ่นทุรกันดาร
4The tongue of the nursing child clings to the roof of his mouth for thirst: The young children ask bread, and no man breaks it to them.
4ลิ้นของทารกที่ยังไม่หย่านมกระหายจนติดเพดาน พวกเด็กได้ขออาหาร แต่ไม่มีใครยื่นให้เขา
5Those who fed delicately are desolate in the streets: Those who were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills.
5คนทั้งปวงที่เคยรับประทานอาหารอย่างเลิศหรูกลับต้องโดดเดี่ยวอยู่ตามถนน คนทั้งหลายที่เติบโตมาด้วยเสื้อสีแดงสดกลับต้องกอดกองมูลสัตว์
6For the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the sin of Sodom, That was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands were laid on her.
6เพราะโทษความชั่วช้าของธิดาแห่งชนชาติข้าพเจ้านั้นก็ใหญ่โตกว่าโทษบาปของเมืองโสโดมที่ต้องคว่ำทลายลงในพริบตาเดียว โดยไม่มีมือใครได้แตะต้องเลย
7Her nobles were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk; They were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was as of sapphire.
7พวกนาศีร์ของเธอบริสุทธิ์กว่าหิมะและขาวกว่าน้ำนม ผิวพรรณของเขาเปล่งปลั่งยิ่งกว่ามุกดา เขามีรูปร่างงามดั่งไพทูรย์
8Their appearance is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: Their skin clings to their bones; it is withered, it has become like a stick.

10มือของหญิงที่ใจอ่อนกลับเอาลูกของตัวต้มกิน ลูกที่ถูกต้มเป็นอาหารนั้นกินกันเมื่อยามหายนะมาสู่ธิดาแห่งชนชาติของข้าพเจ้า
11Yahweh has accomplished his wrath, he has poured out his fierce anger; He has kindled a fire in Zion, which has devoured its foundations.
11พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบันดาลโทโสออกมาแล้ว พระองค์ทรงเทพระพิโรธอันเกรี้ยวกราดของพระองค์ลงแล้ว และได้ทรงจุดไฟขึ้นในกรุงศิโยน ซึ่งเผาผลาญรากของเมืองนั้น
12The kings of the earth didn’t believe, neither all the inhabitants of the world, That the adversary and the enemy would enter into the gates of Jerusalem.
12กษัตริย์ทั้งปวงแห่งแผ่นดินโลก และบรรดาชาวพิภพพากันไม่เชื่อว่าคู่อริหรือศัตรูจะได้เข้าไปในประตูกรุงเยรูซาเล็มได้
13It is because of the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, That have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her.
13เพราะความผิดบาปของพวกผู้พยากรณ์ของกรุงศิโยน และเพราะความชั่วช้าของพวกปุโรหิตของกรุงนั้น ที่ได้กระทำโลหิตของคนชอบธรรมให้ไหลออกในท่ามกลางกรุง
14They wander as blind men in the streets, they are polluted with blood, So that men can’t touch their garments.
14เขาทั้งหลายเดินเปะปะและตาบอดไปตามถนน ทำตัวให้มลทินด้วยโลหิต จนคนจะจับต้องไม่ได้ที่เสื้อผ้าของเขา
15Depart! they cried to them, Unclean! depart, depart, don’t touch! When they fled away and wandered, men said among the nations, They shall not live here any more.
15คนทั้งหลายร้องบอกเขาว่า "ไปซิ มลทินจริง ไปเถอะ ไป๊ อย่ามาถูกต้องนะ" เมื่อเขาเหล่านั้นหนีไป เป็นคนพเนจร พลเมืองของประชาชาติพูดกันว่า "เขาต้องไม่อยู่ที่นี่อีกต่อไป"
16The anger of Yahweh has scattered them; he will no more regard them: They didn’t respect the persons of the priests, they didn’t favor the elders.
16พระพิโรธของพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงกระทำให้เขาทั้งปวงกระจัดกระจายไป พระองค์จะไม่ทรงสนพระทัยในเขาอีกเลย คนทั้งหลายจึงไม่นับถือพวกปุโรหิต ไม่ทำคุณต่อพวกผู้ใหญ่
17Our eyes still fail, looking in vain for our help: In our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save.
17นัยน์ตาของพวกเรามองหาความช่วยเหลือ การช่วยเหลือนั้นไร้ประโยชน์ ส่วนการเฝ้ารอคอย พวกเราได้คอยประเทศที่ไม่อาจจะช่วยเราให้รอดได้
18They hunt our steps, so that we can’t go in our streets: Our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end has come.
18มีคนสะกดรอยตามเรา จนพวกเราเดินตามถนนของพวกเราไม่ได้ เบื้องปลายของพวกเราก็ใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว วันเดือนทั้งหลายของพวกเราก็จะจบอยู่ เพราะบั้นปลายของพวกเรามาถึง
19Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the sky: They chased us on the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.
19พวกที่ข่มเหงเราก็เร็วกว่านกอินทรีในท้องฟ้า เขาทั้งหลายวิ่งไล่กวดพวกเราบนภูเขา เขาทั้งหลายซุ่มคอยจับเราในถิ่นทุรกันดาร
20The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Yahweh, was taken in their pits; Of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.
20ลมปราณทางจมูกของพวกข้าพเจ้า คือผู้ที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเจิมไว้นั้น ก็ตกหลุมพรางของเขาทั้งหลายแล้ว คือพวกเรากล่าวถึงพระองค์ท่านว่า "เราจะดำรงชีวิตของเราท่ามกลางประชาชาติได้ ก็ด้วยอาศัยร่มเงาของพระองค์ท่าน"
21Rejoice and be glad, daughter of Edom, that dwell in the land of Uz: The cup shall pass through to you also; you shall be drunken, and shall make yourself naked.
21โอ ธิดาแห่งเมืองเอโดม ที่อาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินอูส จงเปรมปรีดิ์และยินดีเถิด ถ้วยนั้นจะผ่านมาถึงเจ้าด้วย เจ้าจะต้องเมามาย และจะกระทำให้ตัวเองเปลือยเปล่าไป
22The punishment of your iniquity is accomplished, daughter of Zion; he will no more carry you away into captivity: He will visit your iniquity, daughter of Edom; he will uncover your sins.
22โอ ธิดาแห่งกรุงศิโยนเอ๋ย การลงโทษเพราะความชั่วช้าของเจ้าก็ครบแล้ว พระองค์จะไม่ทรงพาเจ้าออกไปให้เป็นเชลยอีกต่อไป โอ ธิดาแห่งเมืองเอโดมเอ๋ย พระองค์จะทรงลงโทษเพราะความชั่วช้าของเจ้า พระองค์จะทรงเผยบาปของเจ้าให้ประจักษ์
