¹Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the Passover, drew near.

²The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.

³Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered with the twelve.

⁴He went away, and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.

⁵They were glad, and agreed to give him money.

⁵คนเหล่านั้นดีใจ และตกลงกับยูดาสว่าจะให้เงิน

⁶He consented, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.

⁶ยูดาสจึงให้สัญญา และคอยหาโอกาสที่จะทรยศพระองค์ให้แก่เขาเมื่อว่างคน

⁷The day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover must be sacrificed.

⁷พอถึงวันกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อ เมื่อเขาต้องฆ่าลูกแกะสำหรับปัสกา

⁸He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”

⁸พระองค์จึงทรงใช้เปโตรและยอห์นไปสั่งว่า "จงไปจัดเตรียมปัสกาให้เราทั้งหลายกิน"

⁹They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”

⁹เขาทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "จะให้ข้าพระองค์จัดเตรียมที่ไหน"

¹⁰He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.

¹⁰พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ดูเถิด เมื่อท่านเข้าไปในกรุงก็จะมีชายคนหนึ่งทูนหม้อน้ำมาพบท่าน เขาจะเข้าไปเรือนไหน จงตามเขาไปในเรือนนั้น

¹¹ Tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’

¹¹จงพูดกับเจ้าของเรือนว่า `พระอาจารย์ให้ถามท่านว่า "ห้องที่เราจะกินปัสกากับเหล่าสาวกของเราได้นั้นอยู่ที่ไหน"'

¹² He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”

¹²เจ้าของเรือนจะชี้ให้ท่านเห็นห้องใหญ่ชั้นบนที่ตกแต่งไว้แล้ว ที่นั่นแหละจงจัดเตรียมไว้เถิด"

¹³They went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

¹³เขาทั้งสองจึงไปและพบเหมือนคำที่พระองค์ได้ตรัสแก่เขา แล้วได้จัดเตรียมปัสกาไว้พร้อม

¹⁴When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve apostles.

¹⁴เมื่อถึงเวลาพระองค์ทรงเอนพระกายลงเสวยพร้อมกับอัครสาวกสิบสองคน

¹⁵He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,

¹⁵พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาว่า "เรามีความปรารถนาอย่างยิ่งที่จะกินปัสกานี้กับพวกท่าน ก่อนเราจะต้องทนทุกข์ทรมาน

¹⁶ for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”

¹⁶ด้วยเราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า เราจะไม่กินปัสกานี้อีกจนกว่าจะสำเร็จในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า"

¹⁷He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this, and share it among yourselves,

¹⁷พระองค์ทรงหยิบถ้วย ขอบพระคุณแล้วตรัสว่า "จงรับถ้วยนี้แบ่งกันดื่ม

¹⁸ for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until the Kingdom of God comes.”

¹⁸เพราะเราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า เราจะไม่ดื่มน้ำองุ่นจากเถาองุ่นต่อไปอีกจนกว่าอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าจะมา"

¹⁹He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”

¹⁹พระองค์ทรงหยิบขนมปัง ขอบพระคุณแล้วหักส่งให้แก่เขาทั้งหลายตรัสว่า "นี่เป็นกายของเรา ซึ่งได้ให้สำหรับท่านทั้งหลาย จงกระทำอย่างนี้ให้เป็นที่ระลึกถึงเรา"

²⁰Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

²⁰เมื่อรับประทานแล้ว จึงทรงหยิบถ้วยกระทำเหมือนกันตรัสว่า "ถ้วยนี้เป็นพันธสัญญาใหม่โดยโลหิตของเราซึ่งเทออกเพื่อท่านทั้งหลาย

²¹ But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.

²¹แต่ดูเถิด มือของผู้ที่จะทรยศเราไว้ก็อยู่กับเราบนโต๊ะ

²² The Son of Man indeed goes, as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”

²²เพราะบุตรมนุษย์จะเสด็จไปเหมือนได้ทรงดำริไว้แต่ก่อนแล้ว แต่วิบัติแก่ผู้นั้นที่จะทรยศพระองค์ไว้"

²³They began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.

²³เหล่าสาวกจึงเริ่มถามกันและกันว่า จะเป็นใครในพวกเขาที่จะกระทำการนั้น

²⁴There arose also a contention among them, which of them was considered to be greatest.

²⁴มีการเถียงกันด้วยว่าจะนับว่าใครในพวกเขาเป็นใหญ่ที่สุด

²⁵He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’

²⁵พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "กษัตริย์ของคนต่างชาติย่อมเป็นเจ้าเหนือเขา และผู้ที่มีอำนาจเหนือเขานั้น เขาเรียกว่าเจ้าบุญนายคุณ

²⁶ But not so with you. But one who is the greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.

²⁶แต่พวกท่านจะหาเป็นอย่างนั้นไม่ ผู้ใดในพวกท่านที่เป็นใหญ่ที่สุด ให้ผู้นั้นเป็นเหมือนผู้เล็กน้อยที่สุด และผู้ใดเป็นนาย ให้ผู้นั้นเป็นเหมือนคนรับใช้

²⁷ For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am in the midst of you as one who serves.

²⁷ด้วยว่าใครเป็นใหญ่กว่า ผู้ที่เอนกายลงรับประทานหรือผู้รับใช้ ผู้ที่เอนกายลงรับประทานมิใช่หรือ แต่ว่าเราอยู่ท่ามกลางท่านทั้งหลายเหมือนผู้รับใช้

²⁸ But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.

²⁸ฝ่ายท่านทั้งหลายเป็นคนที่ได้อยู่กับเราในเวลาที่เราถูกทดลอง

²⁹ I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,

²⁹และพระบิดาของเราได้ทรงจัดเตรียมอาณาจักรมอบให้แก่เราอย่างไร เราก็จะจัดเตรียมอาณาจักรมอบให้แก่ท่านทั้งหลายเหมือนกัน

³⁰ that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

³⁰คือท่านทั้งหลายจะกินและดื่มที่โต๊ะของเราในอาณาจักรของเรา และจะนั่งบนที่นั่งพิพากษาพวกอิสราเอลสิบสองตระกูล"

³¹The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat,

³¹และองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า "ซีโมน ซีโมนเอ๋ย ดูเถิด ซาตานได้ขอท่านไว้เพื่อจะฝัดร่อนท่านเหมือนฝัดข้าวสาลี

³² but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers The word for “brothers” here may be also correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” .”

³²แต่เราได้อธิษฐานเผื่อตัวท่าน เพื่อความเชื่อของท่านจะไม่ได้ขาด และเมื่อท่านได้หันกลับแล้ว จงชูกำลังพี่น้องทั้งหลายของท่าน"

³³He said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”

³³ฝ่ายเขาจึงทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า ข้าพระองค์พร้อมแล้วที่จะไปกับพระองค์ ถึงจะต้องติดคุกและถึงความตายก็ดี"

³⁴He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”

³⁴พระองค์ตรัสว่า "เปโตรเอ๋ย เราบอกท่านว่าวันนี้ก่อนไก่ขัน ท่านจะปฏิเสธว่าไม่รู้จักเราถึงสามครั้ง"

³⁵He said to them, “When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”

³⁵พระองค์จึงตรัสถามเหล่าสาวกว่า "เมื่อเราได้ใช้ท่านทั้งหลายออกไปโดยไม่มีถุงเงิน ไม่มีย่าม ไม่มีรองเท้านั้น ท่านขัดสนสิ่งใดบ้างหรือ" เขาทั้งหลายทูลตอบว่า "หามิได้"

³⁶Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.

³⁶พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "แต่เดี๋ยวนี้ใครมีถุงเงินให้เอาไปด้วย และย่ามก็ให้เอาไปเหมือนกัน และผู้ใดที่ไม่มีดาบก็ให้ขายเสื้อคลุมของตนไปซื้อดาบ

³⁷ For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was counted with transgressors.’ Isaiah 53:12 For that which concerns me has an end.”

³⁷ด้วยเราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า พระวจนะซึ่งเขียนไว้แล้วนั้นต้องสำเร็จในเรา คือว่า `ท่านถูกนับเข้ากับบรรดาผู้ละเมิด' เพราะว่าคำพยากรณ์ที่เล็งถึงเรานั้นจะสำเร็จ"

³⁸They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”

³⁸เขาทูลตอบว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า ดูเถิด มีดาบสองเล่ม" พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาว่า "พอเสียทีเถอะ"

³⁹He came out, and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.

³⁹ฝ่ายพระองค์เสด็จออกไปยังภูเขามะกอกเทศตามเคย และเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ก็ตามพระองค์ไปด้วย

⁴⁰When he was at the place, he said to them, “Pray that you don’t enter into temptation.”

⁴⁰เมื่อมาถึงที่นั่นแล้ว พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า "จงอธิษฐานเพื่อมิให้เข้าในการทดลอง"

⁴¹He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,

⁴¹แล้วพระองค์ดำเนินไปจากเขาไกลประมาณขว้างหินตกและทรงคุกเข่าลงอธิษฐาน

⁴²saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

⁴²ว่า "พระบิดาเจ้าข้า ถ้าพระองค์พอพระทัย ขอให้ถ้วยนี้เลื่อนพ้นไปจากข้าพระองค์เถิด แต่อย่างไรก็ดีอย่าให้เป็นไปตามใจข้าพระองค์ แต่ให้เป็นไปตามพระทัยของพระองค์เถิด"

⁴³An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.

⁴³ทูตสวรรค์องค์หนึ่งจากสวรรค์มาปรากฏแก่พระองค์ช่วยชูกำลังพระองค์

⁴⁴Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.

⁴⁴เมื่อพระองค์ทรงเป็นทุกข์มากนักพระองค์ยิ่งปลงพระทัยอธิษฐาน พระเสโทของพระองค์เป็นเหมือนโลหิตไหลหยดลงถึงดินเป็นเม็ดใหญ่

⁴⁵When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples, and found them sleeping because of grief,

⁴⁵เมื่อทรงอธิษฐานเสร็จและลุกขึ้นแล้ว พระองค์เสด็จมาถึงเหล่าสาวก พบเขานอนหลับอยู่ด้วยกำลังทุกข์โศก

⁴⁶and said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

⁴⁶พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "นอนหลับทำไม จงลุกขึ้นอธิษฐานเพื่อท่านจะไม่เข้าในการทดลอง"

⁴⁷While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him.

⁴⁷พระองค์ตรัสยังไม่ทันขาดคำ ดูเถิด มีคนเป็นอันมาก และผู้ที่ชื่อว่า ยูดาส เป็นคนหนึ่งในสาวกสิบสองคนนำหน้าเขามา ยูดาสเข้ามาใกล้พระเยซูเพื่อจุบพระองค์

⁴⁸But Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”

⁴⁸แต่พระเยซูตรัสถามเขาว่า "ยูดาส ท่านจะทรยศบุตรมนุษย์ด้วยการจุบหรือ"

⁴⁹When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”

⁴⁹เมื่อคนทั้งปวงที่อยู่รอบพระองค์เห็นว่าจะเกิดเหตุอะไรต่อไป เขาจึงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า ให้เราเอาดาบฟันเขาหรือ"

⁵⁰A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

⁵⁰และมีคนหนึ่งในเหล่าสาวก ได้ฟันผู้รับใช้คนหนึ่งของมหาปุโรหิต ถูกหูข้างขวาของเขาขาด

⁵¹But Jesus answered, “Let me at least do this” —and he touched his ear, and healed him.

⁵¹แต่พระเยซูตรัสว่า "พอเสียทีเถอะ" แล้วพระองค์ทรงถูกต้องใบหูคนนั้นให้เขาหาย

⁵²Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?

⁵²ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสแก่พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่ พวกนายทหารรักษาพระวิหาร และพวกผู้ใหญ่ที่ออกมาจับพระองค์นั้นว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายเห็นเราเป็นโจรหรือจึงถือดาบถือตะบองออกมา

⁵³ When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”

⁵³เมื่อเราอยู่กับท่านทั้งหลายในพระวิหารทุกๆวัน ท่านก็มิได้ยื่นมือออกจับเรา แต่เวลานี้เป็นทีของท่านและเป็นอำนาจแห่งความมืด"

⁵⁴They seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed from a distance.

⁵⁴เขาก็จับพระองค์พาเข้าไปในบ้านมหาปุโรหิต เปโตรติดตามไปห่างๆ

⁵⁵When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard, and had sat down together, Peter sat among them.

⁵⁵เมื่อเขาก่อไฟที่กลางลานบ้านและนั่งลงด้วยกันแล้ว เปโตรก็นั่งอยู่ท่ามกลางเขา

⁵⁶A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him.”

⁵⁶มีสาวใช้คนหนึ่งเห็นเปโตรนั่งอยู่ใกล้ไฟ จึงเพ่งดูแล้วว่า "คนนี้ได้อยู่กับผู้นั้นด้วย"

⁵⁷He denied Jesus, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”

⁵⁷แต่เปโตรปฏิเสธพระองค์ว่า "แม่เอ๋ย คนนั้นข้าไม่รู้จัก"

⁵⁸After a little while someone else saw him, and said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter answered, “Man, I am not!”

⁵⁸สักครู่หนึ่ง มีอีกคนหนึ่งเห็นเปโตรจึงว่า "เจ้าเป็นคนหนึ่งในพวกนั้นด้วย" เปโตรจึงว่า "พ่อเอ๋ย ข้ามิได้เป็น"

⁵⁹After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!”

⁵⁹อยู่มาประมาณอีกชั่วโมงหนึ่งมีอีกคนหนึ่งยืนยันแข็งแรงว่า "แน่แล้ว คนนี้อยู่กับเขาด้วย เพราะเขาเป็นชาวกาลิลี"

⁶⁰But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.

⁶⁰แต่เปโตรพูดว่า "พ่อเอ๋ย ที่ท่านว่านั้นข้าไม่รู้เรื่อง" เมื่อเปโตรกำลังพูดยังไม่ทันขาดคำ ในทันใดนั้นไก่ก็ขัน

⁶¹The Lord turned, and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”

⁶¹องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงเหลียวดูเปโตร แล้วเปโตรก็ระลึกถึงคำขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าซึ่งพระองค์ได้ตรัสไว้แก่เขาว่า "ก่อนไก่ขัน ท่านจะปฏิเสธเราถึงสามครั้ง"

⁶²He went out, and wept bitterly.

⁶²แล้วเปโตรก็ออกไปข้างนอกร้องไห้เป็นทุกข์นัก

⁶³The men who held Jesus mocked him and beat him.

⁶³ฝ่ายคนที่คุมพระเยซูก็เยาะเย้ยโบยตีพระองค์

⁶⁴Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”

⁶⁴และเมื่อเขาเอาผ้าผูกปิดพระเนตรของพระองค์แล้ว เขาจึงตบพระพักตร์พระองค์ถามพระองค์ว่า "จงพยากรณ์เถอะว่า ใครตบเจ้า"

⁶⁵They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.

⁶⁵และเขาพูดคำหมิ่นประมาทแก่พระองค์อีกหลายประการ

⁶⁶As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people was gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,

⁶⁶ครั้นรุ่งเช้าพวกผู้ใหญ่ของพลเมืองกับพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่ และพวกธรรมาจารย์ได้ประชุมกัน และเขาพาพระองค์เข้าไปในศาลสูงของเขา และพูดว่า

⁶⁷“If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe,

⁶⁷"ถ้าท่านเป็นพระคริสต์ จงบอกเราเถิด" แต่พระองค์ทรงตอบเขาว่า "ถึงเราจะบอกท่าน ท่านก็จะไม่เชื่อ

⁶⁸ and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.

⁶⁸และถึงเราถามท่าน ท่านก็จะไม่ตอบเรา และจะไม่ปล่อยให้เราไป

⁶⁹ From now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”

⁶⁹แต่ตั้งแต่นี้ไปบุตรมนุษย์จะนั่งข้างขวาของพระเจ้าผู้ทรงฤทธานุภาพ"

⁷⁰They all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He said to them, “You say it, because I am.”

⁷⁰คนทั้งปวงจึงถามว่า "ท่านเป็นบุตรของพระเจ้าหรือ" พระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ก็ท่านว่าแล้วว่าเราเป็น"

⁷¹They said, “Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!”

⁷¹เขาทั้งหลายจึงว่า "เราต้องการพยานอะไรอีกเล่า เพราะว่าพวกเราได้ยินจากปากของเขาเองแล้ว"
