¹I said, “Please listen, you heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: Isn’t it for you to know justice?

¹และข้าพเจ้ากล่าวว่า โอ ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เป็นประมุขของยาโคบ คือบรรดาผู้ครอบครองวงศ์วานอิสราเอลเอ๋ย จงฟัง ท่านทั้งหลายต้องทราบความยุติธรรมไม่ใช่หรือ

²You who hate the good, and love the evil; who tear off their skin, and their flesh from off their bones;

²ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เกลียดชังความดีและรักความชั่ว ผู้ที่ฉีกหนังออกจากประชาชนของเรา และฉีกเนื้อออกจากกระดูกของเขาทั้งหลาย

³who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

³ผู้ที่กินเนื้อชนชาติของเรา และถลกหนังออกจากตัวเขาทั้งหลาย และหักกระดูกของเขา และสับเขาเป็นชิ้นๆ เหมือนกับทำไว้ใส่หม้อ และเหมือนเนื้อที่อยู่ในหม้อขนาดใหญ่

⁴Then they will cry to Yahweh, but he will not answer them. Yes, he will hide his face from them at that time, because they made their deeds evil.”

⁴แล้วเขาจะร้องทุกข์ต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ แต่พระองค์จะไม่ทรงฟังเขา คราวนั้นพระองค์จะทรงซ่อนพระพักตร์เสียจากเขาทั้งหลาย เพราะเขาได้ประพฤติอย่างชั่วร้าย

⁵Thus says Yahweh concerning the prophets who lead my people astray; for those who feed their teeth, they proclaim, “Peace!” and whoever doesn’t provide for their mouths, they prepare war against him:

⁵พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสเกี่ยวด้วยเรื่องผู้พยากรณ์ผู้ที่นำชนชาติของข้าพเจ้าให้หลงไป ผู้ที่กัดด้วยฟันและร้องว่า "จงเป็นสุขเถิด" ผู้ที่ไม่ยื่นอะไรใส่ปากของเขา แต่พวกเขาประกาศสงครามต่อเขา

⁶“Therefore night is over you, with no vision, and it is dark to you, that you may not divine; and the sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be black over them.

⁶เพราะฉะนั้น จะเป็นกลางคืนแก่เจ้าปราศจากนิมิต และความมืดทึบจะบังเกิดแก่เจ้าปราศจากการทำนาย สำหรับพวกผู้พยากรณ์นี้ดวงอาทิตย์จะตกไป และกลางวันก็จะมืดอยู่เหนือเขา

⁷The seers shall be disappointed, and the diviners confounded. Yes, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer from God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” .”

⁷ผู้ทำนายจะอับอาย พวกโหรจะขายหน้า เออ เขาทั้งหลายจะปิดริมฝีปากด้วยกันหมด เพราะว่าไม่มีคำตอบมาจากพระเจ้า

⁸But as for me, I am full of power by the Spirit of Yahweh, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his disobedience, and to Israel his sin.

⁸แต่สำหรับข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าเต็มด้วยฤทธิ์เดช คือด้วยพระวิญญาณของพระเยโฮวาห์ และทั้งความยุติธรรมกับกำลังที่จะประกาศการละเมิดของยาโคบแก่เขาเอง และประกาศบาปของอิสราเอลแก่เขาเอง

⁹Please listen to this, you heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice, and pervert all equity.

⁹ท่านทั้งหลายผู้เป็นประมุขแห่งวงศ์วานของยาโคบ คือผู้ครอบครองวงศ์วานอิสราเอล จงฟังข้อความนี้ คือท่านผู้ชังความยุติธรรมและผู้แปรความเที่ยงตรงทั้งสิ้นให้ปรวนไป

¹⁰They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

¹⁰ผู้สร้างศิโยนด้วยโลหิต และสร้างเยรูซาเล็มด้วยความชั่วช้า

¹¹Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money: yet they lean on Yahweh, and say, “Isn’t Yahweh in the midst of us? No disaster will come on us.”

¹¹ผู้เป็นประมุขของเมืองนี้ตัดสินความด้วยเห็นแก่สินบน ปุโรหิตของเธอสั่งสอนด้วยเห็นแก่สินจ้าง ผู้พยากรณ์ของเธอทำนายด้วยเห็นแก่เงิน ถึงกระนั้นเขาทั้งหลายยังอิงพระเยโฮวาห์และกล่าวว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสถิตท่ามกลางเรามิใช่หรือ ไม่มีความชั่วอย่างไรเกิดขึ้นแก่เราได้"

¹²Therefore Zion for your sake will be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps of rubble, and the mountain of the temple like the high places of a forest.

¹²ด้วยเหตุนี้แหละ เพราะเจ้านี่เอง ศิโยนจะต้องถูกไถเหมือนไถนา เยรูซาเล็มจะกลายเป็นกองสิ่งสลักหักพัง และภูเขาแห่งพระนิเวศจะเป็นที่สูงซึ่งมีต้นไม้
