1耶稣是道路真理生命
1`Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, also in me believe;
2在我父的家里，有许多住的地方；如果没有，我怎么会告诉你们我去是要为你们预备地方呢？（下半节或译：“如果没有，我早就对你们说了，因为我去是为你们预备地方。”）
2in the house of my Father are many mansions; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you;
3我若去为你们预备地方，就必再来接你们到我那里去，好使我在哪里，你们也在哪里。
3and if I go on and prepare for you a place, again do I come, and will receive you unto myself, that where I am ye also may be;
4我去的地方，你们知道那条路。”
4and whither I go away ye have known, and the way ye have known.`
5多马说：“主啊，我们不知道你去的地方，怎能知道那条路呢？”
5Thomas saith to him, `Sir, we have not known whither thou goest away, and how are we able to know the way?`
6耶稣对他说：“我就是道路、真理、生命，如果不是借着我，没有人能到父那里去。
6Jesus saith to him, `I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one doth come unto the Father, if not through me;
7如果你们认识我，就必认识我的父；从今以后，你们认识他，并且看见了他。”
7if ye had known me, my Father also ye would have known, and from this time ye have known Him, and have seen Him.`
8腓力说：“主啊，请把父显示给我们，我们就满足了。”
8Philip saith to him, `Sir, shew to us the Father, and it is enough for us;`
9耶稣说：“腓力，我跟你们在一起这么久了，你还不认识我吗？那看见了我的就是看见了父，你怎么还说‘把父显示给我们’呢？
9Jesus saith to him, `So long time am I with you, and thou hast not known me, Philip? he who hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how dost thou say, Shew to us the Father?
10你不信我是在父里面，父是在我里面吗？我对你们说的话，不是凭着自己说的，而是住在我里面的父作他自己的事。
10Believest thou not that I [am] in the Father, and the Father is in me? the sayings that I speak to you, from myself I speak not, and the Father who is abiding in me, Himself doth the works;
11你们应当信我是在父里面，父是在我里面；不然，也要因我所作的而相信。
11believe me, that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me; and if not, because of the works themselves, believe me.
12我实实在在告诉你们，我所作的事，信我的人也要作，并且要作比这些更大的，因为我往父那里去。
12`Verily, verily, I say to you, he who is believing in me, the works that I do — that one also shall do, and greater than these he shall do, because I go on to my Father;
13你们奉我的名无论求什么，我必定成全，使父在子的身上得着荣耀。
13and whatever ye may ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son;
14你们若奉我的名向我求什么，我必定成全。
14if ye ask anything in my name I will do [it].
15耶稣求父赐下保惠师“如果你们爱我，就要遵守我的命令。
15`If ye love me, my commands keep,
16我要请求父，他就会赐给你们另一位保惠师，使他跟你们永远在一起。
16and I will ask the Father, and another Comforter He will give to you, that he may remain with you — to the age;
17这保惠师就是真理的灵，世人不能接受他，因为看不见他，也不认识他。你们却认识他，因为他跟你们住在一起，也要在你们里面。
17the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it doth not behold him, nor know him, and ye know him, because he doth remain with you, and shall be in you.
18我不会撇下你们为孤儿，我要回到你们这里来。
18`I will not leave you bereaved, I come unto you;
19不久以后，世人不再看见我，你们却要看见我，因为我活着，你们也要活着。
19yet a little, and the world doth no more behold me, and ye behold me, because I live, and ye shall live;
20到那日，你们就知道我是在我父里面，你们是在我里面，我也在你们里面。
20in that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you;
21那领受我的命令，并且遵守的，就是爱我的；爱我的，我父必定爱他，我也要爱他，并且要亲自向他显现。”
21he who is having my commands, and is keeping them, that one it is who is loving me, and he who is loving me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.`
22犹大（不是加略人犹大）对耶稣说：“主啊，你为什么要亲自向我们显现，不向世人显现呢？”
22Judas saith to him, (not the Iscariot), `Sir, what hath come to pass, that to us thou are about to manifest thyself, and not to the world?`
23耶稣回答：“人若爱我，就要遵守我的话，我父必定爱他，并且我们要到他那里去，跟他住在一起。
23Jesus answered and said to him, `If any one may love me, my word he will keep, and my Father will love him, and unto him we will come, and abode with him we will make;
24不爱我的，就不会遵守我的话。你们所听见的道，不是我的，而是那差我来的父的道。
24he who is not loving me, my words doth not keep; and the word that ye hear is not mine, but the Father`s who sent me.
25“我还跟你们在一起的时候，就对你们讲了这些事。
25`These things I have spoken to you, remaining with you,
26但保惠师，就是父因我的名要差来的圣灵，他要把一切事教导你们，也要使你们想起我对你们所说过的一切话。
26and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I said to you.
27我留下平安给你们，我把自己的平安赐给你们；我给你们的，不像世界所给的。你们心里不要难过，也不要恐惧。
27`Peace I leave to you; my peace I give to you, not according as the world doth give do I give to you; let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid;
28你们听见我对你们说过：‘我去，但还要回到你们这里来。’你们若爱我，就要喜乐，因为我到父那里去，又因为父是比我大的。
28ye heard that I said to you — I go away, and I come unto you; if ye did love me, ye would have rejoiced that I said — I go on to the Father, because my Father is greater than I.
29现在事情还没有发生，我就已经告诉你们，使你们在事情发生的时候可以相信。
29`And now I have said [it] to you before it come to pass, that when it may come to pass, ye may believe;
30我不会再跟你们讲很多的事，因为这世界的统治者将到；他在我身上毫无作用，
30I will no more talk much with you, for the ruler of this world doth come, and in me he hath nothing;
31但这些事是要使世人知道我爱父，并且知道父怎样吩咐了我，我就怎样作。起来，我们走吧！”
31but that the world may know that I love the Father, and according as the Father gave me command so I do; arise, we may go hence.
